Pretty old hotel”

Beautiful mountain in front of you

the hotel is not close to the sokcho downtown, and it is also not really close to seoraksan. it's located somewhere in between the downtown and the seoraksan, so you will need to hail a cab to commute. the hotel is also pretty old, toiletries were not really provided. but the room was spacious, and it's cheap. the good thing is you will be able to see the beautiful mountain range right in front of you.

Good location between Seorak NP and sokcho”

Walking distance to the NP or short taxi ride

we stayed here on october 2nd - the busiest time of year for the national park. the road to the park, for the final 5km is single line so there is traffic chaos! we just left the car at the hotel and walked the final 5km to the park. the hotel's indoor pool was closed - i guess it's open in summer? the room was a 'condo' with one double bed, and then the main room with easily enough room for 4 others to sleep, and a simple kitchen. the hotel is dated, but clean and the staff were nice. the hotel is in the middle of the np and the town (taxi easier) so you get the best of both worlds - also walking distance to waterpia water park!
