Best Location on Island”

Koh Sichang Resort is located in front of a park by the sea. It is beautiful especially during the sunset. Once you arrive to Koh Sichang, the hotel will arrange you a Tuk Tuk pick up service. Although the hotel is not a fancy 5 star hotel and only have the basic equipments, the place is kept clean and worth the stay. The hotel staffs does not speak English fluently but can be communicated somehow. For a nice quiality dinner, you can go to Pan & Davis Restaurant which is only 5 minutes away. They have good wine and home made linguine.

Clean quiet place next to a Sea View Park”

koh sichang is a fairly quiet little island only a short distance from bangkok. the ko sichang resort is not fancy or filled with amenities, but it is clean and quiet. free instant coffee are available in the lobby, and you can also get a more substabtial breakfast if you choose. a nice park across the street offers a nice view of the sunset over the gulf if thailand.

Great for the Island and the Price”

I recommend this hotel. For 1,000 a night, this resort is just fine. The outside and hallways are nice, they have more potential than they see. The rooms also have potential, but the furniture like the small, cheap, wardrobe needs to come out. Bathroom is nice, small, and you do need to have some experience to work the water heater properly. The beds are clean (as is the room) but very hard. You won't escape hard beds in Thailand though, unless you pay to stay at a Marriott or something. I like the family who runs the resort. They are friendly and easy going. Added an extra bed and didn't ask for anything for it. The breakfast is boiled rice, but was really tasty. They also have the Chinese donuts and free coffee. We usually stay at Charlie's Bungalows, but this one was just as nice, just in a different way.

Great location and lovely staff and value 4 money”

The hotel is very near the main viewing point on the island where you can see some spectacular sunset (just across the street). It's in a quieter part of the island but easy to find the island three-wheeled taxis. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Room was basic but clean. We had an extra 'bed' which was a mattress/futon on the floor but still comfortable enough. We enjoyed having a dinner picnic on the balcony outside our room with great breeze! (no mosquito problem which was a nice surprise).

Our stay was enjoyable. The resort is really nice. I think it is a bit overpriced for what it is, rooms are clean but basic and wifi does not work in the rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. In front of the hotel there is the best viewpoint of the whole island, so the location is superb.

If you ride a motorcycle, 75/125cc it is a wonderful island to explore. Tuk tuks are abundant and cheap that will take you anywhere. Lovely Chinese temple as well as a Thai temple. Only one beach but clean water and great menu on the beach.The ferry ride to the island from Siracha is 45 minutes and you pass through many large ocean going ships, loading and unloading their ware. I've been to this island and would really like to keep it as a hidden gem, but......have to share the good times and the people. Enjoy the environment and the quality folks here. About 1 1/2 hours by car from Bangkok. #0 clicks Bangkok side of Pattaya.

Simple but effective ”

We stayed for two nights in this place price was including pick up and and drop off. For 250baht per day we where supplied with a fueled up scooter. This family run place does what is supposed to and does so with a smile.

Good hotel, lovely ambiance ”

Peaceful stay at friendly hotel”

Check in was very fast and unannounced early arrival not a problem. Room was basic but adequately furnished, clean and good value for money. No choice Thai breakfast was good quality. No tea/coffee facilities in the room but help your self available all day in the lobby. Staff don't speak much English but are eager to please and very friendly.

Peaceful Budget Hotel”

This is a clean and friendly budget hotel with basic rooms in a quiet location away from the main village but on the island's main road. The staff only speak a few words of English but are friendly and helpful. Most clients are Thai but foreigners feel very welcome. The mattresses are hard, even by Thai standards.

i didn't have a good sleep bcos of noisy aircon”

the hotel was kind of old. things in the room were a bit out of maintenance. rooms downstairs were smelly, they were kind enough to give me a room upstairs. dark color of the furnitures in the room made the room gloomy. they provided free flow of coffee and tea i think but i didn't drink. they served porridge in the morning but i wasn't sure if it was inclusive..

It was ok, could have been better”

I imagine that at one point the room in which I've stayed was quite good. Today, however it is no longer good. The water heater did not work; the lamp above the bed was broken, though light in it worked; all of the towel racks in the bathroom were loose; shower's drainage was set up in a way, that if you took a shower for a while, whole bathroom floor would get flooded. Another thing that I did not like, is that there was no bed table or anything next to the bed to put your stuff on. In conclusion, the room is ok, but no one did any kind of maintenance in the room I've stayed for a long time. Another unfortunate thing was the wasps outside of my room's window. When I just arrived, I opened the window and got bit by one of them. When I went to tell the staff that there's a wasp nest next to my window and that I've just got bitten, I found out that the person who checked me in forgot to tell me not to open the window. Douh... Also, I was told that there was already someone who got bitten before me and they knew about the wasps. So, if you will be staying in this place, don't forget to ask if you can open the window in your room. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. There was tea and coffee, something that was like Chinese doughnuts, and a traditional Thai rice porridge. Couple good things in this place where the reasonably good speed WIFI for free and without those stupid device number limits, the fact that room had a fridge and a TV with many channels and finally that the staff would drive you from and back to the pier for free.

Not maintained”

I stay in hotels all the time, often through agora but never bother to review. But the stay at this place was disappointing. Everything was rundown, the bathroom was grotty, the air conditioner was noisy, towel racks etc were all loose, hair in the sinkholes.The sheets were nice and new though. The staff didn't bother to tell us breakfast finished at 9am. We weren't missing much though. Sure it is a cheap place but I have stayed in places half the price that were at least clean. Plus the rubbish on KoSichang is a disgrace. Thailand is bad when it comes to rubbish but this place takes first prize. At the per in Sri Racha we saw fishermen dumping their rubbish into the filthy water. Then tons of all sorts of rubbish in the sea on the ferry trip. Arrive at the pier on the island, rubbish everywhere. Every beach, temple, street, tourist attraction had piles of rubbish everywhere. Not many street dogs but heaps of street pigs feeding on the piles of rubbish. What a dump. We should have gone to ko samet. There is rubbish there also but it is half as bad.

Difficult hotel”

This was one of the toughest stays in a hotel I have ever experienced. While the staff, service, breakfast and location on this amazing Island are great, it is impossible to sleep in this hotel. The bed is harder than some floors I have slept on, and the AC sounds like a lawn mower, but it is impossible to sleep without it due to the heat. Real shame, as the service and location are great, but I would not return to this hotel.

Rooms are OK! Service very bad!”

We were 3 people (couple with a 3 yr old child). The staff rejected to serve breakfast for my kid (there was no buffet breakfast). We got only 2 plates with 2 pieces of toast & salad. I for additional plate for my daughter and they rejected. I was ready to pay but they were not ready to serve. Asked for additional 2 pieces of toast but they never served. Staff - very bad! Nobody could not speak English. Had to manage with translator. Only good thing was location Location & surroundings. Room quality - just OK.

Disappointing return visit”

Not so good as on previous visits. The supposedly included breakfast, which they do usually serve, was not available, I suspect because there were not many people staying so they couldn't be bothered to make it. There was also no hot water in the shower. At least the help yourself hot drinks were available and the staff are welcoming.
