Basic but excellent location”
Our stay was excellent, originally booked for 2 nights ended up staying 7 in total as the location was so good and very relaxing. The bed was very hard, even by Thai standards and bathroom at bit dangerous due to door not opening fully, it caught on the roof and strange uneven floor that got very slippy when wet. But great little balcony sitting out space with room for a hammock. Overall if you want a great little room/shack in a great location at a great price and dont mind not having all mod cons you won't be disapointed. Thanks Koh Mak cottages we had a very chilled lovely time. (PS, Agoda how can you rate someone on food when they dont provide it?)

Basic cottage with an ok bed, mosquito net and a t”
Very basic cottage at the beach. There was bird poop inside and big spiders in the toilet which had a funny smell. No cleaning during 3 night stay. However with the price ok bed and a fan. Probably with investing a little more money you got a place with a fridge and less "pets".

Very small, basic bungalows by the beach, not much room inside and bathroom could be cleaner but great location with plenty of choice for places to eat, the best mosquito net & shower out of all the places we stayed in Thailand!

while at a better price then the others a round, if you are looking for amenities' like not sleeping on a mattress on the floor and soap in the wash room, water in the rooms then this place will disappoint you. getting up in the morning to the smell of garbage burning out side your room in not a plus.

I loved it here. Cute little huts in a quiet location. The room could use some hooks on the wall for hanging clothes but we just bought our own at a store. Bathroom has some weird concrete squares on the floor randomly that trip you & sub your tie if you're not careful. They don't make sense for being there. Bathroom door only opened half way because of a beam in the ceiling which was annoying. But that's just Thailand idiosyncrasies!

Very relaxed to have your own hut with porch on the beach. Also our own bathroom although quite basic with only cold water from shower. When one of us got ill staff was very helpful and friendly.

Sleepless night!”
Awful! Bungalows have not been maintained, wood really rotten. Dirty, could not sleep as full of cockroaches after dark. I left after the first night, had paid for 5 nights. Got a small refund but not the full amount, would not of stayed if they had paid me! I have backpacked before for months and stayed in some budget rooms but never had such a bad experience!

the huts were quite dirty and ants were all over the bed, i had to request to be moved to another hut where there was less ants but they seemed to go away at night mostly so sleeping wasn't too bad. There was no restaurant, but local restaurants were nearby. The beach was quite dirty with trash which ruined the lovely view of the ocean and nearby islands. I wouldn't recommend staying in Bang Bao as the beach on the opposite side of the island is much nicer although the resorts are expensive. but i have stayed in much cheaper and nicer huts in Thailand. There are definitely better options on the island

Sehr kleine und verfallene Hütten. Der Strand ist sehr dreckig. Alle anderen Hütten/Hotels sahen viel besser aus. Internet war auch nur theoretisch vorhanden. Wir mussten das WLAN vom Resort nebenan nutzen.
