Happy and peaceful holidays”
We made our first trip to Koh Jum Island a couple of weeks ago and were happily surprised to have stumbled on this uncrowded little gem in the Andamman. Koh Jum Ocean Beach Resort was very peaceful and located on a secluded beach, accessible by boat and by car. Of our 2 months holidays, we spent 10 days in this hotel and we really enjoyed peace, quiet, beautiful sunsets and good food. The hotel has a great restaurant with a good chef that prepared us freshly-made and tasty organic meals. We liked the added touch that they even grow their own vegetables in their farm at the hotel. Manager Pat and her assistant Wit are very friendly and accommodating. They were always ready to give us advice and look after our needs so we could fully our enjoy holiday. They did their best to make our stop in the island a memorable one. We highly recommend this hotel.

Relaxing paradise with a lovely staff!”
We stayed 5 nights at upper hill bungalow (the budget option). I asked for 1 night more via email and got very quick answer: it was possible if we moved to another room for the last night. All my messages were aswered fast and friendly. When we arrived we learned the long tail boat service from ferry to Koh Jum works very well and you don't need to worry about a thing. Staff was super nice, polite and there for you. The place was beautiful and the beach was clean and paradise-like. We are vegetarians and the food at resort was also good and they have tofu. Notice that if you stay in a upper hill bungalow the stairs really are long and quite rough to climb in heat. Bungalows 1-6 are easier to acces! Our last extra night we got the Honeymoon Hut 2 for the price of Agoda Upper hill bungalow and it was beautiful! Everything is slighty better when you upgrade: the bed, the pillows, the shower, the mirrors and decorations - and of course the view. Eat at Lash Fisher and Baan Tiew!!

Great resort on the beach”
We went to Koh Jum for the first time and stayed here for 4 nights, loved this beachfront resort. It has just a couple of nearby additional dining options to choose from, so going to other places for meals is kind of limited unless you drive. (Note: the first portion of the road is a bit "tricky" for taking the scooter/moped, so maybe walk or take a taxi would be best to go to the local village, or to get to further South locations on the beach where you can find additional bars and restaurants. The beach otherwise is lovely, great sunsets, good swimming. The staff is truly amazing, so helpful and sweet! We loved the restaurant, and especially the breakfast buffet. They even grow some of their fresh organic veggies in their own garden!! Would definitely stay here again, on a future visit of the island. And recommend this hotel to others - who are NOT opposed to climbing some serious stairs to go to their room for the night! ;-)

Great choice - loved it!”
The hillside bungalow we stayed in was excellent value and exceeded our expectations; decent sized bed with best mosquito net we have come across, the room was cleaned and fresh towels provided every day (amazing for a budget room), lovely surroundings, friendly staff, good restaurant. Would definitely recommend. In fact Koh Jum was our favourite island that we visited and we are already planning a return trip! For a great place to watch the sunset try the bar at Oonlee (the raised white building at the end of the beach) - great music and comfy chairs - or the small shack on Magic Beach.

Best holidays of our lives!”
We loved the stay at Ting Rai Bay Resort. Koh Jum is a must-visit place if you want to enjoy some quiet days. We stayed for 3 days and it was perfect. We stayed in the bungalow that looks like a boat right in front of the sea. It's really worth to book! The people of the resort are all very friendly and the food was delicious. We haven't had any other food experience like this on Koh Lanta or Ao Nang afterwards. We can recommend Ting Rai Bay to everyone and would definitely come back!

Excellent Location For a Quiet Weekend”
This is a great place if you seek peace and quiet away from the tourist-infested neighbors of Koh Jum. The beach offers private serenity with warm clear water, located on the property with views of Koh Phi Phi in the distance. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Our bungalow was quite pleasant but a little too hot as we were hesitant to open our windows due to monkey warnings. The bed was large and the bathroom was surprisingly comprehensive for a bungalow. There's also a very fun bar on site with a very enthusiastic tender. On the downside, we found that although the thai food was good the western food was awful, especially the breakfast. We often ended up eating at other restaurants in the bay area. Also, since our longboat from the ferry to the resort was diverted to a location further down the island due to rough waters, we ended up getting charged for the ground transport to the hotel. While not much of a surcharge, it felt petty as we had no control over the weather conditions.

Ting Rai Bay was absolutely amazing. Great food, lovely staff, love the location. loved this place!”
We've been nothing but amazed by this place. And we would definitely go back again. It's a lovely resort and everyone that works there is beyond nice. We can also highly recommend the dive center on the island. Koh Jum diverse.

Beautiful island, wonderful resort ”
Our expectations were exceeded at Ting Rai Bay. The small details at the resort make it stand out from other places we've stayed in the region. The island is quiet with a small village a short walk away, but this is exactly what we were looking for after the busier areas around Ko Jum. My only recommendation would be to stay in one of the cabins closer to the beach, which have the best ocean views.

Best stay i Thailand”
We went to Koh Lanta and even Krabi Resort in Krabi (luxury hotel) This place was better than both. Friendly staff, and relaxed place. The standard is 5/10, but the service is 10/10. The local people are the best, and they do everthing they can to make you have a great stay. If you want to party, dont go here, if you want to have a drink and chill by the pool or beach and think about nothing, GO! I will be back.

Quiet and peacefull”
Nice place, comfortable beach area and bar. Did not like the food at the restaurant at all and there is no choice but 3 places around. Also nothing worthy. The road to Koh Jum is a mud road, not a nice walk. Beach is suitable for a swim at the low and medium tide.

The best place there is !”
Wonderful garden resort, with beautiful sunset over Koh Phi Phi, every day. Very friendly staff, cosy decorated houses, perfectly cleaned, and soft beds, Clean and easy accesible beach, lovely swimmingpool, surrounded by pristine jungle. This is what we were looking for, so we extended our stay much longer than planned.

Exceptional”
We stayed in one of the boat bungalows. Fantastic experience. We had never heard of Ko Jum until a week earlier, we owe that French couple that told us about to some good advice. The bar at the beach is great too (Mr Boy)

Beautiful, but could be better”
I was very excited to get to Koh Jum and Ting Rai Bay Resort. The island is beautiful and unspoilt. We were not, however, convinced by the resort's hospitality efforts. Because it is largely an undeveloped island you can't really walk down the road and have your pick of restaurants to eat at. This means we had to either eat at the resort or neighbouring resorts. This said, the restaurant at Ting Rai, although in a beautiful setting, desperately needs to up their game with the food. Everything was slightly overpriced, which I would not have minded if it was good food, but everything we ate was at best average. While the Thai food was decent (not great), the Western food was terrible (save breakfast). Other small things also add up to make your stay just a little less special (note we were in the cheapest room, but still expect some basics). No complementary water in the room, bed was not very comfortable, rock hard pillows and everything felt a little warn by time. Generally the place needs a bit of a revamp, to make the most of the beautiful surrounds.

Good resort - boat houses very nice”
Very good. We climbed the hill and walked into town one day and found a few bars on the beach that gave us a different view and a change from the menu than at Ting Rai Bay. We had a longtail boat snorkeling tour around Koh Phi Phi that was beautiful. Overall a nice spot to stay for a few days.

great place for relaxing”
We stayed in beach front bungalow, actually there are two such bungalows, one is on the beach and the one we stayed in a little set-back and somewhat close to the restaurant so we had to keep the curtains closed as people might see in. I would of preferred the actually bungalow that appears on the photos, the one right on the beach so be sure to check with the resort when you book! Beach is rocky at low tide, water color and sand not as beautful as Phi Phi island but I went for the quietness. Overall the place is very well maintained, staff are polite and friendly, food is ok. Breakfast doesn't start until 8am but you can walk to next resort which opens at 7am and does a simple buffet breakfast for 250 Bhat. Private long tail boat day trip to PhiPhi is 1250 Bhat, well worth it but they will charge a tax to go on some areas such as Monkey island and Bamboo island. This is another 400 Bhat.. It's a little hard to get to the resort but that adds to its charm, we went from Phuket to Krabi town then taxi to Kruad Pier (800 Bhat) and long tail boat (100 Bhat each) to the pier on the north east of the island. Then taxi journey to the resort. Its a bit of a trek to get there and well away from the hustle a bustle and massage parlours of Phuket. Going back we took speed boat from Phi Phi island to Phuket Marina and minibus (1250 Bhat each) I would go back again. It's a lovely place to relax although you might want to move on after a few days as very little to do.

Great location, great staff!!”
We stayed 3 nights at ting rai bay and throughly enjoyed our stay. We had one of the honeymoon bungalows which was great! Nice bed, lovely furnishings with a great view over the garden and ocean. The staff were so friendly and always laughing, the lady behind the desk helped us with transfers and scooter rental. The beach was great, with good swimming and snorkelling, I would say it's the best beach along that bit of coast line. The tide does go out quite far but there are far less rocks than the other beaches either side. Recommend hiring a scooter to explore, head south to find nice beaches and small village for shopping. Be warned though, the road at the top of the resort is a dirt track with deep holes and crevices, it only lasts for a mile or two then normal roads resume. Throughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning!!.
