Though I have been hopping around guesthouses in Busan, there is definitely a lot of extra value in Kimchee guesthouse that comes down to the staff working in there. Not only are they willing to show you around and hang out with you, they also host different events which Victor kindly informed us about. The pub crawl as well as the rooftop party held in Gwangan were good ways to spend time and get to know more about the nightlife in Busan.

Had a great stay at the Kimchee Guesthouse in Seomyeon. It is very easy to locate and walk to from downtown. Amanda especially took care of me and other guests around (both with check-in/check-out process and also during our stay), she is a sweetheart! Would recommend to anyone that wants to stay in Busan for a short or long time :)

Exceptional”

The hostel staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. The hostel was relatively clean as well. However, going to one of the other Kimchee Busan Guesthouses would be better as it is about 30 minutes to an hour to most things. However, it is in the middle between the Haeundae area and the Songdo area.

Super helpful staff, perfect location”

Our stay in Busan would not have been so great if not for the friendly people in Kimchee! The staff was very nice and helpful. When we accidentally had to extend our stay in Busan for a few days, the staff did all that they can to ensure that our multiple transfers to the only available rooms were swift and comfortable. The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the subway station. It's also super near Seomyeon's lively night life. We appreciate that there's a nearby convenience store and a vending machine outside. Lastly, the shared kitchen/lobby is also a great place to meet fellow travelers. :)

Great place, great price”

Kimchee has everything you could want in a budget accommodation. Clean, spacious rooms, helpful staff, information (on the walls) on everything to do and eat in Busan, rental wifi, plug adaptors for sale, etc. They've thought of everything. The living room is pretty comfy and a good place to meet people. It is a very large hostel so the vibe is not as friendly and cosy as some. You can easily walk to all the nightlife in Seomyeon, 1 minute from a 7/11, 2 minutes from the metro line 1 and 10 minutes from the 2; these will take you everywhere you need to go. The staff were always friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Only downside is the tiny kitchen that's usually very messy. Cooking here will be difficult. Had a great stay, I highly recommend it!

kimchee guesthouse got 3 branches , definitely Busan branch the great as it located at nice place ( near subway station ) which also short distance to Seomyeon subway mall . hostel environment is lovely compare to others branch. staff always helpful & things is in well organised

Good value for low price!”

I had a pleasant stay in Busan thanks to Kimchee Guesthouse. I used the guesthouse as my base to have a place to stay and store my bagage at all times. Showers are good, beds are clean and the rooms are spacious enough for single travelers. Location is very good! Really appreciate the help of Sezer by the way. He was kind and helped me with information, my baggage and other tasks. Thumbs up!

Best Budget-Accommodation in South Korea”

Lovely helpful staff, clean rooms with lockers and comfy beds. Bathrooms are modern, hot water, and are checked/ cleaned more than once a day. When ever I'll go back to SK Kimchee Guesthouse is my first choice!

Location is really near from subway especially exit 8, staff is really friendly, the guesthouse is feel alive, our roommate also nice, at night we could strolling around to have some snacks, we took night bus from Seoul to Busan and so glad that we didn't need to transfer on subway :) would love staying here again if i go to Busan!

Been staying in the guesthouse for longer than I expected. It has a great atmosphere and a big part of it is due to the staff members. Victor especially has provided with a lot of help and care for our needs while also being incredibly friendly and fun to talk to. The facilities are well worth the money itself, and the value added by the staff makes it one of the best experiences for travelers in Busan.

This is my 4th Time here. Everytime i went to Busan, i want to stay here! The best hospitality ever! Nearby subway Beomnaegol Station, just walk like 2 mins from the guesthouse. I love the room that they gave us, its superb ! So comfortable for us as muslim.. will come again later next year!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The sink basin in the women’s bathroom on the 4th floor clots up a little which was the only downer during my stay but apart from that, overall it’s a great hostel. The staff in particular are very helpful, friendly, and very accommodating. The social area was a little small but the small size paid of because I was able to meet and socialize with a lot of other hostelers which was great. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. Thanks for a great stay Kimchee!

Value for money, good location”

Great location, very close to Beomnaegol station which is located in Line 1 of Busan MRT. Only 1 station away from Seomyeon area which has a lot of restaurants. Also on line 1 is the Jagalchi and Nampo area and Busan Station, hence it was easy to travel to these popular places. Room was clean and spacious, bunk bed was pretty comfortable. The shared bathroom was clean and there was never much a line. They don't provide locks for the lockers so keep in mind to bring your own. All in all it was a short but pleasant stay!

Great Location!”

This guesthouse is literally a stone throw away from Beomnaegol Station. Hence the convenience of connectivity was just exceptional. We took the subway directly from Gimhae Airport to the guesthouse which saved us a lot on transportation fare. Food outlets, cafe and 7-Eleven are available within walking distance. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Plus they speak English which is a definite plus. We took a twin bed private bathroom room which was located on the 6th floor. Room was really spacious and clean. So was the bathroom which also comes with a tub! They charge a deposit on towels and rooms are cleaned upon request. There is a common kitchen which is a pretty great meeting point to get acquainted with the other guests. The only minus point was about 10 pm at night, we lost water supply to our bathroom. Which means we couldn't shower the next day either. I'm guessing the increase in the number of guests must have caused water shortage problems.

Home away from home guesthouse ”

Good : pretty close to Beomnagol metro station( 50 stepps from Exit NO. 8),clean both bathroom & Dorm room, They also provide fridge where you can put your own food or beverage inside. Downpoint : I wouldn't say that it's weak point, but for me, I really need some place to hang my clothes after washing, which they don't have the area for me. Tips for travelling in Busan, I recommend yo buy Metro Day - pass ticket (4,500 KRW) to explore many tourists attractions in Busan and you will enjoy hop on & off unlimited times.

Enjoyable stay”

We had an enjoyable, comfortable stay at Kimchee Busan. We stayed in a double which had two double beds, TV, fridge, toiletries, table and chairs and lots of space. Location is close to a metro station and walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Affordable and Clean!”

The guesthouse is near to the train and bus stations, about 1 minute walk. It also provides towel and basic toiletries such as shampoo and body wash. We had the freedom to prepare and have our meals in the pantry which was definitely a great thing for us. Just made sure we cleaned after we used the area. We could use the utensils and basic kitchen appliances for free except for the washing machine and dryer. We had the whole room to ourselves which was good for 6 though we were only 5. The guesthouse practices honesty is the best policy. It also has an elevator which was convenient for the elderly and those with heavy luggage. Overall, it was a good experience staying in this guesthouse. I'd recommend it!

Great hostel”

Very near to Beomnegol subway, only 3min walk from exit 8 and about 10 min walk from seomyeon subway, exit 11. It easy easy to find, just keep ur head up and look out for kimchee and follow goggle map.. there is no steep road or stairs. There is lift in the hostel.... staff can speak very good English..

Kimchi Downtown Hostel”

I have stayed at this hostel 3 times! The first time was in 2017, and I was in a dorm room. The second and third times I had my own room. This hostel was really warm, comfortable and convenient. Both the dorms and the private rooms are very pleasant, and good value for money. The staff are very helpful, and will give you all the advice about Busan that you need. I had a great time on my most recent visit, despite Coronavirus and so on. I observed social distancing rules of course. All in all, this is a very pleasant place to stay. I would recommend it.
