On my initial arrival, I was greeted by the front office staff in a very pleasant manner, after going to my room, i was surprised at the size of the room, and it's amenities. My stay at the Karon Living room Hotel was very enjoyable, along with the friendlyness of all the staff, I was most surprised with the "FREE" Internet for the Guests!! very pleasing to see this gesture from the hotel maagement. And I would love to stay at the Karon Living room Hotel, on my next visit to Phuket Thank you to all at the Karon Living Room Hotel!! - Mr Scott

highly recommended budget hotel”

Discovered Karon Living Room by way of searching cheapest hotels in Phuket. The rate is indeed reasonable yet the accommodation is close to five-star ranking. Karon Living Room is far from a grand hotel (but that's wishful thinking for a budget hotel), but you get all the basic amenities, including a TV set, wake-up call, free supply of two bottles of drinking water daily and free internet service. Its biggest asset, other than the price, is its cleanliness. The hotel is a three-story building but with no elevator. That can be a problem for guests with heavy baggage, but there's always a porter to help. Others may complain that the hotel is a bit distant from the beach--a walk of about 10 to 15 minutes. The upside is the place is relatively quiet, and has convenient stores, reasonably priced restaurants, and cheap Thai food stalls as neighbors.

Great place to stay on a budget”

Karon Living Room Hotel is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the center of Karon beach but without having the extra luxuries (and expenses) attached to the resorts and flash hotels such as a swimming pool and a seaside location. This is not to say that the hotel lacks though - it has lots of tv channels, aircon and good powerful showers and is very tidy. And surely you're in Phuket for the beaches - you can go swimming in a pool at a resort anywhere in the world! Highly recommended

Just FABULOUS!”

Our stay at the karon living room was amazing. We booked to stay for 2 night's and ended up booking in to another 7! The staff were fantastic, provided us with extremely helpful advice and suggestions about the area and also just super friendly and kind people. The location is perfect if you are wishing to explore phuket as there is a local bus that stops outside the hostel and can take you to any of the attractions and sites on the island. We used it to see the waterfall, Phuket town, Wat Chalong, the big Buddha, Patong, Katu and much more. We stayed in both a dorm and a private room and both were great. If you are visiting Phucket stay here, it felt like a home away from home.

my stayed in this hotel been very pleasant at an affordable price you get the quality of standard that most tourist want. i recommend this hotel without any doubts for whom can not afford or do not want to pay high prices for hotels along the beach. the employees are giving you a nice and polite service and are always ready to fill up your needs. free internet, coffee, and umbrella (when required)...are little things that are good to considerate.... if karon living room hotel is in your choices be confident to enjoy your stay..... thank you.

Karon Living Room Hotel - good value”

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Karon Living Room Hotel in Phuket. It would be hard to find another hotel with such spacious and clean rooms for this low price, booked through agoda. The simple but very sufficient breakfast was included in the price and served by a friendly waiter who would willingly top up your coffee and add more toast etc. It was a bit annoying that the shower water drained only very slowly and that the 2 PC's were out of service for most of the time. The walk along the busy but interesting road to the beach can be a bit tiring, especially in hot weather. To sum it up: We would book this hotel again without hesitation.

this was a good, clean hotel at a reasonable price. we arrive late at night in phuket and stayed just one night before our departure to raya island. karon living room hotel staffs were very helpful and kind. i would live to stay longer in this place in a future.

Pleasant stay”

We stayed here for the second time last year in December and this year in April! Both times we had an excellent time! The rooms are very spacious and very clean, you can also have a see view room at higher floors but there is no lift! The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel is very clean and breakfast is very good and value for money. Internet is free! you will not find a better and cheaper hotel in Karon beach rather than Karon living room! Guaranteed! excellent!!

Fabulous value for money!”

my son and i were very happy with karon living room hotel. it is a great hotel for the price. there were a few things that could have been improved, i.e. the sheets and towels were old, however apart from this the place was great. the room was clean and had a nice feel. the staff were friendly. i highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are on a tight budget.

Nice, comfortable and clean”

I had a great experience staying at Karon Living Room. The price was affordable. The room was clean and good size for family of 3 or 4. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly. You have any problems you get help right away. And, it's close to the beach. I just wish they would provide room service meals in the evening. Other than that I love the hotel and am definitely going back if I travel back to that area.

Value for Money”

I have booked a taxi from the hotel to pick me up from the airport. It is cheaper than directly taking other caps in the airport. It took around one hour to the hotel. The staff is very nice and let us stop by a supermarket to buy some groceries prior to arrival at the hotel. The hotel did not provide tooth paste and brush, no hair dryer. But it will provide two free bottle of water each day. There is a small fringe (workable) and free internet. Just remember to bring your internet cable if you bring a laptop. There are soap and small shampoo provided. You can also book a cap from the hotel to the airport, to the town etc and ask it to pick you up again. Personal view is Karon beach is better than Patong. It takes 10 mins walk from the hotel to Karon beach. On the way, there are a few restaurants and tour agents. Room services always come after I left the hotel. So I am not sure what time they come. But the room is clean when I come back to the hotel. Btw, I did not try their breakfast so not able to comment. Overall, it is a good hotel to stay. Value for money. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Nice and clean for a reasonable price”

I stayed there just for one night as me and my friends were renting villa first and my flight was later than others, so I needed a place for myself just for an oversleep but clean and close to beach. Actually there're plenty of such places on Phuket, but I really trust Agoda's reviews. Living Room Hotel is a member of Hostelling International, so if you've ever stayed at the hostels, you know what it is. They have computers and cheap airport and taxi transfer as well as cheap but good breakfast available. Room was very clean, pretty spacios and cosy by the way. A/c was a bit nosy and neighbours too though.

The Best we had in Thailand”

We have looked at other hotels, what Karom Lining Room Hotel offer you is your money's worth. The staff are frindly and helpfull at all times. Rooms are clean and neat so is the Hotel. When we go back to Puket we will only stay with them, it is big value for your money and a pleasure spending time in there hotel, Thank you Karon Living Room for making our Holiday

Karon Living Room was good”

for the very little i paid for the double bed, airconditioned room i got, couldnt quite ask for more. everything worked and was clean and cozy and the staff was really friendly, and the internet was speedy. it was all well. scooters were for rent nearby so its easy to get anywhere. it not smack in the town so it is pretty peaceful and nice there, while knowing fun is bout 10min away. massages are round the corner and hair and nail salons as well. a 3 min walk takes u to many food stalls with great cheap thai food! i'd really recommmend karon living room!

Great start to our Phuket trip”

We landed in phuket and after a 30 mins taxi ride we settled into our rooms. Always use a taxi meter from the airport to the hotel and try to get the taxi driver's phone number as when you leave, you can organise a ride back to the airport minus the airport or hotel booking fee. We spent about 400 baht each way. Check in was painless and we received complementary tea which was nice as it was really hot that day. The rooms are very neat and clean with airconditioner and upon request, our bed was decorated with rose petals in a heart shape which was lovely. The toilets are clean with hot showers and clean towels. There's a safe in the room which was easy to use and the mini fridge was handy for storing fruits that we bought along the way from the beach. Highly recommend Karon Living Room as its value for money.

Lovely hotel and big rooms”

I did enjoy my stay at Karon Living Room Hotel. The staff was so awesome and helpfull. The food was so good and the cleaning was more the satisfied. They have wifi at the room and in the restaurant. They do also have 2 computers you can use for free. It is just a place where the staff will make your day. It was an excellent stay.

good price good quality”

Firstable, very good price, located at karon, the second busiest beach in Phuket. Good location, Room in spacious size, clean and neat. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Thank you to Vicky for driving us around, Phuket is just beautiful, I will stay in this hotel again when I come back phuket.

Great budget hotel”

The Karon Living Room Hotel is well located relative to shops, restaurants and bars, if a bit far from the beach (which is the case with most of the non-5-star hotels in Phuket). Granted it would be nice if it came with a pool, but you get what you pay for. Rooms are spacious, well-docorated and beds are super comfy. Free internet in the room if you have your own laptop and ethernet cable. Air conditioning works well. One staff member even offered me a ride in her car as she was driving in the same direction as I was walking.

Spacious Room”

even though this is my first experience to stay at karon beach area, the hotel personnel is really helpful by giving us some brochures and propose some attractions. room is clean and spacious for its value. unfortunately, there isn't elevator to reach our room at 4th floor (it's heavy to bring two luggage to that floor). walk down the street (to the left of hotel) to find karon beach. nice beach, but crowded. when i checked out, i rent a car from travel agency. the car is late and the receptionist help me by calling the agency to ask how long it took for me to wait. i think it's pretty good. without i asked for it, the receptionist knew how to help her customers (even when i was checked out)

Wonderful place to stay”

We stayed at Karon LR Hotel for a week and had nothing but good memories about it. I do not want to comment about its distance to beach as some other reviewers do because the hotel never claims it is next to the beach, moreover, unless you are elderly or have problems with walking I can not understand why people find that distance too much. After all it is a pleasant walk which takes around 10-15 minutes to the beach and you get to see some seafood restaurants and local life on the way. As for the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed was on the 2nd floor not facing the main road so the lack of elevator and noise was not a factor for us. When are you booking make sure you add those preferences in the comments section if you want to stay in that section.
