Fantastic Property, Memorable Experience!! ”
I, my wife and my 10 yr old son, stayed for a day at this hotel and we really had a good time. What we loved: 1. The room (Deluxe with Garden view) was quite spacious and well furnished. Garden view through the large window gave a refreshing feel. Attached washroom was also adequately large, sparkling clean and well designed. 2. An outdoor swimming pool in the middle of a reasonably large and very well maintained garden looks awesome. 3. Plenty of plantation all around the property gives it a very green and natural look. Nature lovers will rejoice the calm and peaceful environment in a busy city like Delhi. 4. The property has a pretty large banquet with amazing interiors and a huge live screen behind the stage. It is an awesome venue for weddings or other functions. 5. Staff is very helpful and accomodating. Restaurant staff is very polite, well behaved and courteous. We were allowed a late checkout (almost 4 hrs. beyond normal time) as our flight got delayed. The security staff got the entire lighting switched on at the banquet, for us to see it in its full glory. What could be better: 1. No buffets, only a-la-carte ordering option - may not work well for small families/groups. Combo meal options or small potion ordering options can help such people with more variety and lesser food wastage. Food, though, is good (especially breakfast). I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs quick access to airport and wants to spend quality time with family/friends. For those, who would like to explore Delhi, the location may not work very well as most of the places of interest are quite distant.
Pool was not functional ”
We do not often write negative reviews, but we came to Atrio specifically to let my children play in the pool while I had a long day away. I had emailed weeks ahead of time to inquire about the pool but there was no reply. We came and the pool was very dirty and they said it was not operational and could not be cleaned. Although another front desk staff said it was fine the next day (which it was not). My family had to go across the street to another hotel to use their pool with fees. It would have been GREAT if Atrio would have offered to reimburse those costs and even offer to transport my wife and young children across the busy road. Also, when leaving it would have been nice if the staff explained to us, as foreigners, why there were many armed government officers in the lobby, and one at the gate (I now assume was not hotel staff) who did not offer to help us with opening or closing the gate as we were rushing off to the airport. I would expect more from a 4 star hotel.
Disappointing ”
This is a nice hotel with nice rooms and a comfortable bed. It was fairly clean but our bathroom had several small but annoying problems, leaky faucet, low flush toilet, poorly designed shower with low quality plumbing. Also, either we were there during low season or this property is going out of business soon. It seemed the front desk staff were very bored, the restaurant, particularly the breakfast seemed to be only functioning at 50%. Our dinner waiter was good and the front door man was polite but generally speaking the hotel and staff had no energy and the whole place was slow, boring and disappointing. I assume for this price level there are many better options. The outdoor swimming pool was clean enough to swim in. It is around 25 meters in length. A long oval shape. 3-4m deep. The area around the pool has no shade and it is obvious no thought was given to making the pool area inviting. Also, this property has no fitness center. From the airport you should take a prepaid taxi for IR400 but to the airport you should take an Uber. For a small Uber the wait is only a few minutes. But for a premium/bigger Uber you should assume you will need to wait 30 minutes. The airport is around 15-20 minutes by car due to traffic and some small roads.
