a lots of mould in toilet, broken shower faucet, broken furniture, dirty carpet, the air-conditioner is not get cold temperture. It is too hot in the room.

The hotel reception staff are bad attitude and rule, i try an hour to call reception at my room phone but din't get anyone to answer. Aircon are not function. Very bad hotel.

Good hotel in a convenient location”
I stayed at Jianguo Garden Hotel for one night and then left for another city then checked back in again two nights later. I booked the superior room, but when I checked in again, they upgraded me to the deluxe room since I was a return customer. That was really nice of them. The hotel is nearby a walking street where there are food vendors and many shops. It takes about 15-20min walk to reach the Forbidden City. I used the pool and the gym, the facilities are ok.

Best location & Highly Recommended 5 star hotel”
We love this hotel. This is a big hotel. A local 5 star hotel with spacios room, big size bathroom, very clean room and complete amenities. Superb location it is only 100 mtr away from Dongdan station (line 1 & 5) exit B facing to the Jianguo hotel and 200 mtr away to exit A & F facing to the malls at oriental. Subway transportation is the best way to explore beijing since it is very very difficult to find a local who can speak english. Wangfujing street it is around 1 km away from the hotel (right behind of the malls at oriental). I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone

Jianguo Garden Hotel”
I really liked this hotel for the price of it. I was first staying in a different hotel that was more money and moved after a few days. Jianguo Garden is big with nice lobby and restaurants and the taxi drivers knew this road and how to get here which was not the case of the other hotel I stayed in. Jianguo Garden is on the same road as Tiananmen Sq., several shopping malls, Silk Market and other things of interest to visitors. I thought it was a great deal and wish I stayed here my entire visit.

Good Location, Nice and Clean”
The hotel is conveniently located not too far from the Forbidden City (15-20 min walk). There's a walking street where only people are allowed to walk only (no cars). Many fast food vendors can be found along the walking street. The gym and swimming pool are not too bad. They give a coupon worth RMB 200 to be used at their spa, but I didn't have to use it, so cannot comment on the quality of their spa service. Overall, I enjoy the stay at this hotel very much. I would return to this hotel again if I have a chance to come to Beijing again.

Great location and reasonable price”
First impression came up on my mind about this hotel is a very convenience place to stay for a traveler because its in the middle of Beijing city, the place is very near to tourist spot overall. Tianamen square and forbidden city are very close to the hotel, only 2 stops by subway line no.1. 3 stops by subway line no.5 to temple heaven, also, not to far if you would like to go to Beijing olympic stadium (bird's nest)

Good hotel and friendly service with a smile”
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for four nights as part of our China vacation. The hotel is situated in the business district, and is a 15-20 minute walk or short subway ride to Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. The rooms were average - decent size with large bed, but small bathroom. The bed was hard, but the pillows were comfy. The room did include a safe and a couple of complimentary bottles of water were provided daily. The air conditioning worked very well and the rooms lacked the overwhelming smell of mustiness we noticed in the other hotels we stayed at in Shanghai and Xi'an. The staff was very friendly, especially the doormen. They always greeted us with a smile and most spoke English well enough to have a conversation. The front desk staff were also very friendly and were able to check us into our room, even though we arrived before check-in time. We ate at Kitchen Asia, located in the hotel. The food was okay, but very cheap! Overall, I would recommend this hotel to travelers. It is not a budget hotel, but very reasonable (easily less than per night). Pros: Good location; friendly staff; restaurants/spa on site; great air conditioning; clean; good value Cons: Small bathroom

Very nice hotel with great location”
This is a very smart Beijing city centre hotel which is close to the main central attractions. The staff are efficient and helpful and speak good English. Rooms are very nice. It is right next to a subway station which is generally a much more efficient and quicker way to get around rather than to leave yourself at the mercy of unco-operative Beijing taxi drivers and the constant traffic gridlock in the city. Highly recommended as a good and pleasant base for visiting Beijing.

Good price-quality hotel, well-located”
The hotel is well located near the Dongdan subway station on line 1 and line 5, which makes that it is easy to reach many places in Beijing via the metro system. The rooms are spacious and the value for the price is very good. The only downside is that the furniture is getting a bit dated, but this gives it also a certain charm. Internet access is a bit expensive but according to the standard prices in Beijing hotels (1 yuan/minute). Staff is friendly and the room service is correct.

the location of the hotel is very convenient. walking distance to the shoppig street, forbidden city/tianmen square and the silk market. the subway (if you like growded places) station only 200 m away. also the main railway station is close by. the room was clean, although a bit old, and functioned well. the breakfast was very good, also for a western taste. although the staff did not speak much english, they were helpful. we tried the gym and squash and they were ok although costly. the travel agency on the second floor arranged a nice half day trip for us to the great wall.

Pleasant, Convenient and ”
This hotel is strategically located in Dongcheng District, Beijing, a two minute walk will fetch you to Dong dan MRT / Subway station, a five minute walk will land you into the bustling Wang Fu Jing Shopping street. The room is being tidied at a promptly and proper manner, Chinese newspaper is provided everyday, ironing board and iron is also available. All the staff are very nice, especially Mr Gong (龚先生) from Conceirge, he is very patient and attentive to my request even before my actual stay in the hotel . Let me take this opportunity to send him a bouquet of thanks.

A nice place to stay in Beijing”
A very nice spot, on Changan Ave, close to Wangfujing, Tiananmen, etc. and close to Dongdan Station on Line 1, very convenient. The staff is ok, but make sure to ask price at Business Center before making anything there. Was frustrated to have free printing one day (because room on Executive Floor) and be charged 2$US per page the day after. Excellent breakfast. A very nice hotel for a first visit in Beijing and adapt yourself to Chinese life. The evening band in the lobby makes you feel in real China.

Great hotel and very central”
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Location is great for places like Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Silk Market etc (if you don't mind a 20 - 30 minute walk) - no problem for taxis. Clean hotel with plenty of amenities/services. Most staff spoke English and well enough to address any issues etc. Room was very clean and spacious. Overall, would definitely return here again.

Pros: 1. Location is excellent, very close to Wangfujing Shopping District, Tianmen Square and the Forbiden City. 2. Rooms are comfortable. The hotel provided two bottles of complementary water everyday the whole time I stayed there. This was unheard of. 3. The staff's response to room service was very expeditious. I never had to wait too long for my order. 4. Friendly staff, but not all of them could speak English. 5. They had a quite nice spa center. Cons: I had to pay to use their Fitness Center and the rate was 160 RMB (Chinese dollars) for one hour, which was almost thirty US-dollars for just an hour.

Over all the experience in the Jianguo Garden hotel was very pleasent, comfortable and good value for money. I would stay there again purly for location and cost. Location is the best part of this hotel being 10 minutes walking distance to Wang Fu Jing Street for shopping and food. Also in the opposite direction the silk market is an easy short walk away taking 20 minutes while enjoying the sights.

The hotel is located in the heart of Beijing and very close to Oriental Plaza Shopping Mall. The location was quite convinient having many good places to eat inside and around the hotel. The staff was very kind and supportive. I wish the hotel to improve its internet access to be available at any time of stay. Very reasonable price for the service.

I'm used to come back to this hotel regularly, I made it my first choice because of the location on Chang'an Avenue (the main street of Beijing) near Wangfujing, Tiananmen, etc. The morning breakfast is very nice, you will stand your whole day with that.
