Sanctuary in the Jungle”

Jetwing Yala with its swing seats overlooking the sea and set on the edge of the Yala National Park is indeed a getaway. The whole trip though only a weekend worth was just enough to go back to Colombo rejuvenated and well fed. The breakfast covers the whole range and is quite exciting to be having your cup of coffee and glass of chilled sweet king coconut on a deck overlooking the jungle with superb service. The safari ride which of course stands as the highlight of the trip is pure FUN! Book your own safari jeep, equipped with two chilled glass bottles of water (courtesy of the eco-friendly Jetwing Yala) and we were off. Our driver was an expert driver maneuvering through the difficult terrain and having his eyes peeled for elephants, wild boar, deer, peacocks and to our delight a leopard. Overall, worth the money and worth the 5 hour drive.

Fantastic hotel”

A hotel that gets everything right! Great facilities, a truely massive pool, a beautiful setting, lovely interaction with nature. Rooms are of a good size with a nice balcony and spacious bathroom. There is a definite focus on environmental responsibility which is great to see. We ate a mix of a la carte and buffet with all meals being enjoyable. Food price was also very reasonable. Staff were also great offering the extra level of service rarely found in hotels. Jetwing Yala is a hotel that gets how to provide a great experience Highly recommended!

One of the best stays ”

Although the Yala National Park was closed and we couldn't go for the game drive, our stay in Yala was one of the memorable parts of our trip, thanks to Jetwing Yala. The staff and service are best. very helpful. The view from the room it self is worth the money. Spacious and well designed rooms. Good facilities. Worth the money.

Amazing people, amazing place......”

Its my first visit to Jetwing Yala and my experince at the hotel was just awesome. One of my friend was sick and the support given by the hotel staff was amazing. I felt like I was surrounded by my family. Iam grateful to everyone I met at the hotel including Mr. Punsisi. Thank you guys... you guys are amazing... I wish all success for every one of you and the hotel to have 110% occupancy every day. Trust me this hotel is amazing...........loveeeee it....

Fantastic hotel with hospitality and details”

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel pays attention to environment protection. Little details reflect the management standard, e.g. Put towel against the balcony door in case the rain comes in (rain season now with heavy thunderstorms daily), post card with the guest name and bananas in the room. Bed is extremely comfortable, which is what you need after bumping safari drive. I would highly recommend this hotel to guests planning to visit Yala. The only shame is that hotel didn't inform guests upon booking that Yala is closed until Oct 15.

A Beautiful Hotel”

We chose the Jetwing Yala because of its proximity to Yala National Park. But the hotel is so beautiful we wished we had more time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Excellent!!!”

We travelled 12 days and stayed in 8 different hotels in Sri Lanka. This one dedinetly made it to the top one. 10 min from Yala National Park entrance, with beach and extremly long pool. The breakfeast was huge and quality of food also for dinner was excellent. We finally again could enjoy good espresso :), which is not always easy travelling through Sri Lanka. Rooms are big, with bathroom nearly the same size as the room. People working in the hotel have been very nice too. Definetly a place to come back again!!!

Great spot for access to Yala Park Safaris”

Overall this was a great stay and this is a nice hotel to stay at while you're doing safari in Yala National Park. We have a 5 and 2 year old so we found there were a couple challenges. There are a few areas which could be a safety concern for kids, the koi fish ponds are beautiful but we were constantly having to watch if our youngest was going to fall in, koi fish are pretty exciting for a 2 year old. The second floor lobby area has a beautiful view but there is only a 2 ft tall flower bed between a child going over the edge, again only an issue for people with young children. The bar at this hotel was my favorite place. Very cozy and comfortable seating, nice music, good atmosphere. The bar could use some board games to help both adults and kids pass the evening in this environment The staff at this hotel are excellent and everyone went out of their way to provide great service. Rooms were very nice and clean. The food and beverages were always well done.

We wish we could have stayed longer ”

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was close to the entrance of Yala National Park and the team were kind enough to organise a packed breakfast for our morning safari. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and tentative and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the chocolate milkshake!! Although we only spent one night here we really wish we extended our stay. When we return to Sri Lanka we will definitely come back for a longer period to make full use of the facilities. The best stay in Yala”

Want to enjoy Yala then there is no other place bettter. For the total safari experience and then all the luxury when you rerurn from a safari drive. Great staff with friendly management led from the top who are always seen speaking to the guest. Any special request for food the cheff will accomodate and do their best. A place not to be missed if one is traveling to that part of the country. I wish i could give it 6stars!!

Elegant hotel on the beach”

We had a wonderful, spacious room with luxury bathroom, and were sorry to have booked for just one night. Nice bar with ocean view, nice food served on the terrace. Big pool, where you are watched by monkeys – very refreshing after a leopard safary in the dusty Yala National Park. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Perfect paradise”

I couldn’t recommend this place any more - it is a perfect, luxury, eco paradise, set 5-10mins from Yala National Park, with all kinds of wild animals roaming through the grounds, near the infinite pool and on the beach - elephants, wild boar, monkeys (and cows)! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. We extended our stay because we couldn’t bare to leave!

Beautiful spot in Yala”

I enjoyed my stay at Jetwing. Buffet breakfast and dinner was fantastic all times. I loved the room and showers too. I did try to leave early by one day and that was no allowed via Agoda without me paying full price which I thought wasn’t excellent since the hotel wasn’t nearly full but I booked three days so I had to stay. Would have liked to try another city but oh well. Staff were great. Fun stay.

Breathtaking setting”

Loved this hotel, quite modern feel with beautiful pool and big wide sand dune beaches. Great restaurants and perfectly location for Yala safari as is one of the closest hotels

Excellent resort in Sri Lanka”

I really loved this resort. Its location is great for Yala National Park and it has animals in the grounds which I really enjoyed seeing. And a great design. At the end of the day I loved the cocktails in the bar.

Great hotel by the beach”

Well appointed hotel, pretty isolated, but great pool with resident wildlife and good beach for body surfing. Food OK. 15 mins drive to Yala game park

Experience worth the price ”

We absolutely loved Jetwig Yala. The stuff was very helpful and accommodating. The location is great if you plan on doing safari. It was a great experience for our entire family.

Excellent hotel close to yala safari national park”

Excellent stay, the hotel was a breathe of fresh air, clean, amazing pool, close to the beach (which the hotel staff lifeguard), great rooms, friendly staff. We would have loved to have stayed longer but they were fully booked and we then stayed next door at laya safari, although this was still good it was definitely a step down from jetwing. Thanks for a great stay.

A large Hotel in the Yala jungles ”

This is the largest property close to the entrance to the Yala National Park. Good wifi. Huge pool which was stunning. The food could be better.
