"I am a beijingnese but been living abroad well traveled worldwide staying all sort of high end hotels. However this is the first time I would like to write a review for a hotel. Being sceptical at the beginning about the service standard due to some reviews but was only surprised by the high level of professional attentive care to guests. Our family has 9 members with old and young, we have arrived very late after 10pm but The receptionist Enlain Wang was extremely helpful and sorted out our rooms upon arrival with minimum check in time. My Parents' room was also upgraded to suite. Check out was also equally swift. Surroundings are beautiful countryside, a lovely retreat for weekend getaway from Beijing. Only an hour drive from the city. We had a wonderful weekend and wil definitely come back. "

"I will definitely return to this hotel. It's in the most perfect location and you can see the Great Wall from your room if you book a room with a GW view, the bed is very comfortable, restaurant food is delicious, and the foot & body massages at the spa were some of our best ever. The only downside is the bathroom toilet lacks a door, so it can make it a bit awkward, although we just laughed at it or left the room when the other person needed privacy. They provide eye masks for the plenty of windows which is great. The front desk speaks perfect English and helped us immensely with great wild section routes, taking us to/from the wall, and back to Beijing or the bus stop if you'd like. We took a taxi from Beijing and they found it no problem. A beautiful hotel built with a lot of love that is apparent in every detail. Highly recommend!! "

"Sansa Village is a beautifully designed oasis outside of the city near great hiking trails, nature, and quiet peace. The rooms are spacious, clean, with an excellent bathtub, and comfortable furnishings. The breakfast is a choice between Chinese, Western, or Japanese and the staff are friendly. Some things they can improve on is by having tea, coffee, and fruit in the rooms which is a standard for higher quality lodging. Also, there is no outside space for dining which seems silly since the location is so beautiful. Some of the rooms have no private sitting area outside and all the food took a long time to arrive because they were preparing the meals down the street at their other restaurant. The staff were not knowledgable regarding the hiking trails in the area or food recommendations other than their own. It has so much potential to be a fantastic place, but lacking in a few areas. "

"This is a great place. The hosts are extremely friendly and could not do enough to make our stay (with two small boys) comfortable and shuttled us to and from the wall. I also recommend not bringing any food with you and get them to cook for you. Cheap and really delicious. The only reason the facilities aren't top marks is there is no pool and it was really hot when we were there (pretty miserable complaint I know)."
