When you arrive in the hotel, you will think you're in a movie. The beautiful hall is a preview of the class of this hotel. Rooms are clean (really clean, not so easy in this country), big, the bed is the best one i got in the country, the swimming pool is really good and you can have your relax. Anything is perfect in this hotel, and the price i paid is really little for an hotel of this level. A plus i got: i paid a superior room, but when i arrived my room was upgraded to a deluxe ;) I visited several hotels in Beijing, and definitely i suggest you the capitol hotel. I guess is really difficult find another hotel that can offer you much more for the price you can find on the site. Btw, remember that all the services not included have a 5 stars price! Drink a can of coke from the mini bar inside the room will cost 8 or 10 times the coke street price, the laundry service to wash your panties will cost much more than buy a new one, use the internet cost 100 yuan per day, and so on. But if you avoid to use the additional service, i guess the room is really cheap considering the class of the furnitures, the beautiful bed, the number of towels, etc etc.

Our stay was nice. The hotel is clean and well-kept, although many floors are smoking floors, which does limit the number of non-smoking rooms. We had some check-in issues because we did not request non-smoking up front. We were offered a king size smoking room (but we couldn't breathe) or a 2-twin non-smoking room (same price because it was pre-paid). We took the non-smoking room, but were told breakfast was not included. After finding the reservation that showed breakfast included, I described to someone at the desk our problems thus far. She offered to move us into a king-size, non-smoking room and just explained that none were available at the time of check in (although we did say we would wait). So, we ended up getting the proper room with breakfast included. The staff were all very helpful...it just seems that their booking software may not be the best. Anyway, everything was satisfactorily fixed. The breakfast is awesome, and we kept finding more and more options. The room was large and comfortable, as was the bathroom. We wouldn't mind staying there again.

At the last minute, we booked Sunworld Dynasty hotel through the Agoda website. We stayed for five nights and the service we received is on par with standards of a five star foreign-own hotels (e.g. Sheraton). Most staff could communicate in English, which was helpful. (Not a lot of locals in the city can speak/understand English so it was nice to be able to speak our first language at the end of the day). Complimentary bottles of water were provided every day. We had a fair size room with a king bed. Bathroom was also a nice size with a shower and a bathtub. Turn down service was a nice touch. Note that there is only one non-smoking floor. Gym and pool facilities were also very good.

it was really a great experience at sunworld hotel, me, my family and friends really enjoyed our 5 days stay in kuala lumpur. they have smiling, friendly and accommodating staff and the rooms are very clean but cheaper. if you want to go on shopping you can just walk around because it's just steps away to shopping areas. oh our buffet breakfast and lunch were also the best, the foods and service looks like as if you are in a 5 star hotel. we recommend our friends to stay at sunworld hotel, the best place to stay in malaysia.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 days,after travelling from Shanghai on the bullit train(4.5hrs express G train)Travelled by taxi about 30 mins from South Beijing railroad station.The room size for a standard queen bed is good,although if you can ask for a room with a view of the forbidden city do so, as because of the hotel roof shape,many rooms have only ceiling windows which only alows for .The location is unbelievableas it is close to so many must se tourist attractions,Wangfujing street(the main street for disigner shopping and also local street market,which sells just about anything.Travelling to badaling wall which is the best section of the Great Wall is easy by bus (2hrs from Wangfujing station Line 1 then line 2 station.Catch bus number 877 at the bus transit.Overall the stay at this hotel for price and location will impress any fussy person.

We stayed here for 3 nights for Easter weekend and the hotel was a perfect base for sightseeing. Traffic is a nightmare so we took the subway everywhere and the station is right next to the hotel. The hotel is 5 star in quality, the concierge was the best concierge service I have seen in a long time. The rooms were large, clean and had everything you would expect of a luxury hotel. I will definitely stay here again next time. Although, opposite the hotel is the Legendale Hotel (very blingy and over the top but also quite interesting!), worth checking it out.

The concierge was great. The frontline staff at the check-in desk are second to none, fluent in all languages, friendly and welcoming. The room and restaurant facilities meet the 5 star rating. The breakfast was the best I had in all of China, including Shanghai. The experience exceeded all my expectations for a hilton hotel. My next stay in beijing will be here. Internet was fast and flawless which was critical to my work. This cannot be taken for granted in China. Beijing is a large city so if you are doing activities downtown, then this is the place to stay. If you are outside of the 3 ring roads, then you may need to pick a hotel more suitable to your location. Traffic around Wangfujing district can be brutal especially during rush hour.

got checked in really fast as we arrived at about 2 in the morning. the receptionist that night wasn't particularly rude but he wasn't exactly friendly either. asked him if there's any shops that serves local food for supper nearby and he just told us to order room service. the food was alright and the portion's rather huge. anyways, the hotel is within really short walking distance to the famous da dong roast duck restaurant at jin bao plaza. the food's really good. great variety and lovely atmosphere. skip quan ju de. park plaza is also rather close to the wang fu jing shopping district though i have to say there's nothing much there and its literally made for tourists. it's also about a 20 minute walk to the forbidden city. take a stroll there. it's lovely and not too stuffy on the winter. we booked a deluxe room as it stated here that it's above the 8th storey and we wanted a view. and we were given the 8th storey. they said they had no rooms left which is ummmm ... but forgoing all that, the room was above my expectations. it's a really good 4 star hotel, there's everything you need there. hair dryer, a hot tub after a day in the cold weather, tv with many channels, lots of space for your winter luggage. and most importantly, it's really clean. and the best part is, when we realized at the airport after we had checked out that i had left my ring in the room, the staff actually brought my ring over to the hotel in a sealed envelope after we called them to ask if my ring is there and if it's possible to bring it to the airport as our flight was in an hour and a half's time. it's really the best stay ever. thank you.

i loved this hotel, value for money, what you see in the pictures is well, what you would get. travelling with family with older parents. booked 1 deluxe room and 1 suite room. both rooms were spacious, new, clean, bright, comfortable. you get fresh, clean and white towels daily, laundry service good, all in all very satisfied. hotel staff are all very obliging and polite. toilets are huge, there's 2 toilets for the suite room, shower area of the suite room comes with high ceiling, good water pressure, bathtub etc. front desk was very helpful in answering our questions (eg: how to get to places, where to go to get certain things). it does live up to its 4 star rating, since most 4 star hotels in china tend to be more like a 3 star hotel. subway/metro station: dongdan station, abt 3 minutes walk. nice and quiet area. cons: menu for room service was limited, not near amenities (eg shopping centres/super markets).

We are in Beijing from 9 to 14 Dec 2015 and stay in Raffles for all 6 nights. Initially, we only booked 3 nights for the landmark room and intended to stay in other hotels around the area, as Raffles have a promotion of 3 nights for the price of 2. After the first night, we decided to stay for 3 more nights and the staffs allow us to stay in the same landmark room although we booked the executive room for the next 3 nights. We have a twin bed, but they were big enough for 2 persons, so our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children, age 8 and 12) can all stay in one room. The twin beds can be adjusted to join together as one very big bed for 4. Location was great, close to WangFuJing Shopping area and lots of things to eat around there. We visited most of the places, including, Tianmen, Forbidden City, Beihai Park, Temple of Heaven, Yonghe (lama) temple, Nanshan Ski resort, all by Metro and bus. Only join tour bus for the 1 day trip to Great Wall and Ming Tomb. Overall, very pleasant trip in Beijing.

Novotel Peace Hotel is situated in close proximity (10 minutes walk) from the Forbidden City,Tian’anmen Square and several of the main parks ,as well as Food street and major shopping facilities ,only a short taxi ride from other attractions around the city. This is a good choice hotel, worthy of its 4 stars; the entrance lobby sets the scene of space and tranquillity in an opulent style. The staff speak English and are very helpful, they seek to please. The room was light, clean, with Coffee and tea making facility, a good TV; it was quiet thereby enabling a good night’s sleep. Shower and bath good with fresh towels and soaps each day, room service excellent. The hotel has adequate gym facilities and a pool, a valuable asset after a long day walking the attractions. There is a massage parlour although I didn’t have time to try it out. The bureau de change is open each day till late and their rate is competitive no need to shop around! The restaurant caters for all tastes is bright clean and attractive the price reflects the hotel quality. If this Hotel fits your budget then look no further you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at Beijing North Garden hotel for 3 nights at end of Oct 2011. We enjoyed our stay. The best part of the hotel is its prime location on the first block of the busiest Wanfujing street, the start of this prime tourist pedestrian shopping street which is full of big fancy departments stores, huge bookstore next door, alleys full of small stalls and food stands are just steps away. It is located in the trendy new Mall of the Orient complex where Grand Hyatt is located but at the fraction of the price. It is approx. 3 minutes walk from the WFJ subway station, across the street from 24HRS McDonalds which has a dedicated coffee counter, surrounded by hundreds of restaurants and shops and shopping malls. Each nightly casual stroll discovered even more surprises on the main street and side alleys. The front desk ladies are reserved without smile, but they warm up later and proved to be helpful. The concierge bellboy doesn’t seem to know much but front desk ladies tend to cut in fast to help out. We had a very spacious executive suite on the top 11th floor with open living room with sofa and 360 degree flat screen TV, smaller queen bed, safe, fridge and small bathroom, all seem clean and safe. The carpet is tan color, may seem old and dirty to some picky ones, but it looks clean to me upon closer exam. The executive lounge on 12th floor is no longer operational and locked up. No free breakfast and we did not bother to check. There is constantly stream of empty taxis driving pass the hotel so finding a taxi is very easy. The front door is guarded by policemen 24 hours a day. No card needed to go upstairs. Elevators are always ready and fast, very few people around. Taxi to PEK airport from hotel was easy, we reached airport at 8AM in 30 minutes in slow driving in thick fog, 80rmb plus 10rmb toll, total 90rmb. It is not a luxury hotel, 3 stars, but clean and spacious, with the best location in Beijing, very satisfied with North Garden Hotel.

The Crowne Plaza Beijing was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in - and I've stayed in a lot! The staff were amazing - they were so helpful, great English speakers and willing to do anything for anyone. The food was great also at the Club Lounge, Room Service & the Espresso Lounge. My room was huge! Super modern and great facilities. I would reccommened this hotel to anyone visiting Beijing - particularly if it is your first visit to the city. I can't wait to go back next year and stay at the Crowne Plaza Beijing again. Thank you to all the staff who made my stay so unforgettable!!!!

This is a great Chinese boutique hotel with a good location (10 min walk to subway station). The rooms are beautiful with Chinese decorations, but the AC and the bathrooms have been modified to modern times. I stayed during winter and the heater was working perfectly. The service is impeccable. I have been in 5 star hotels in Tokyo and this hotel was even better in service than them. Perfect English speaking staff. Always friendly and always accepted requests. This is a great value for the money. I recommend the bigger rooms as their decorations seem even better. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

We booked this hotel through Agoda (which offers the best deals for hotel bookings in Asia). Our rate for 4 nights was US 131.75 a night for a courtyard room inc breakfast. There was an issue with the power on the floor to our room when we checked in so they helped us to move next door to the Jade Garden Hotel for one night and for the inconvenience they upgraded our room to a fashion suite when we moved back to the Kapok Hotel. Breakfasts had plenty of local and western choices and even an egg station so you could have eggs cooked to order. Pros - the fashion suites are spacious and very funky. The bathrooms are really fabulous and large with huge circular bathtubs. There is a lounge/sitting area and large walk in wardrobe. There is also a large desk and office chair so it's ideal if you're there to do any work especially as internet is wireless (with also a wired option) and it's free. They also offer free water, free juice, nice toiletries, and have slippers and robes so there are definitely luxury touches and absolutely everything you need in the room - and that includes a couple of English channel TV stations. Cons - these larger suite rooms are on the front of the hotel and we were on level 2 and it's a little noisy early morning with the honking horns you get in from Beijing drivers but it wasn't too bad and I'm sure a higher floor would be better, the lighting in the bathroom and main room is dull - moody but dull if you're trying to put make-up on, or try to find things in the walk in wardrobe. The location of the hotel is very convenient ie walking distance to the Forbidden City and across the road from inexpensive restaurants. We would stay here again. It's a funky hotel and while it's not 5 star, it's pretty darn good and we've stayed at a lot of hotels in Asia!

This is the best hotel I stayed in Beijing. If you want to experience Chinese Culture in depth, you do not want to miss this hotel. The hotel is a heritage courtyard house of an ancient scholar back in the emperor's day (ask the luggage boy, he will tell you all about it). The layout of the rooms and garden, and the interior of the rooms and furniture are all very ancient style (not some cheap furniture), which will bring us back to the emperor's day, just like what you see in the movies. The staffs are all very friendly and polite, the receptionists and even the luggage boy. The luggage boy spend time tell us a lot about the history of this hotel, which make it more meaningful when you stayed in there. The location of the hotel is very near the City centre, in the alley way (hutong), but no big departmental store nearby. However it does give you a feel when you walk thru the hutong to the main street (quite safe in the hutong as there is a police station next to the hotel). 10 mins walk will bring you to a subway station, which will bring you to the downtown shopping area within 3 stations. Free wifi and broadband computer in the room, very handy. I will definitely stay in this hotel again if I go to Beijing as it leaves a very good impression.

The room was big and clean with all the amenities I expected. Breakfast was ok, but I have to give props to the hot pot restaurant, it was delicious and reasonably priced than outside hot pot restaurants. Location was good since it is near majors attractions but the hotel itself is located between 2 metro stops, so a 10 minutes walk to either metro entrance. Staffs were overall great, friendly and helpful, with the exception of the check in staffs of that particular night, they weren't mean or rude, just not particularly friendly or informative. I would definitely stay again though! Well worth the money and reasonably priced compared to other 4 stars hotels in the area.

The hotel facility is superb, the staffs is excellent, my wife had a fracture and she ( Circle ) took all the trouble to find the good hospital and all goes well, the room boy who did clean my room is 👍, the only negative is the attitude of the parking man ( with black NY jacket ) who stop my rental car to move, I don’t understand what he said - actually asking a fee of rmb 8 ! I almost missed my flight because of that !

While the staff deliver 5 star service the hotel's infrastructure is no longer 5 star, with the exception of the pool/gym. Ownership needs desperately to invest in a refurbishment of the rooms/halls, etc. That said, at the right price point, this hotel represents arguably the best hotel value in Beijing. Through a prepay/no refund deal available only on Agoda, my wife and I obtained a great price (excluding breakfast but including taxes for 5 nights in early Jan 2014) and, thus, enjoyed an excellent stay. Our grand deluxe room was quite comfortable and, when a few things needed fixing, the staff responded immediately and quickly resolved the issues. The lobby lounge is a very good spot for meetings over tea/coffee and the gym/pool are excellent. We did not eat in the hotel so no comment on dining. The location of the hotel is great and, for those interested, there is a subway stop less than 5 minutes walk. There are also coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, etc., all within a very short walk of the hotel. In sum, while this property is no longer 5 star in overall quality and certainly not nearly the same quality level as the rest of the Peninsula Hotels around the world, at the right price point it is worth considering and for visits to Beijing. We will certainly consider it for our next visit.

This is a wonderful, cheap and convenient hotel. I had a great time. The location is slap bang in the middle of Beijing. The closest subway is only a few blocks away. Reception don't speak any English, but people who complain about this lack creativity and insight. Just download a translation app, and vuala you're in business. The people here were very nice and smiled every time I passed by. Do your research on the places you want to visit because unfortunately the English level is very low.

Pros: cheap and near to tourist attractions. A bus stop outside the hotel takes you to the temple of heaven and other attractions, less than 15 to half an hour bus ride. Very convenient. The hotel staff are friendly, managed to book the entry ticket through the staff for the forbidden city. The room is clean and the cleaner change the bed sheet daily, upon request. Cons: if someone smoke in the room or along the corridor, you won't be able to stay in the room. The cigarettes smell will make you faint. I had to use mask on one night as the smell is terrible. You will need a ear plug if you want to sleep soundly. You get to hear conversation when someone pass by the corridor, especially in middle of the night. If you are a light sleeper , think twice. The mattress is extremely hard and you will get backache easily. Best way, request for extra blanket to layover. Overall, as a solo traveller, I will book this hotel again.

EChoose this hotel cause it is new and in the best location in Beijing. Staff are nice and helpful. Facilities are all in top grade. There is room to improve. Like better communication on check in, reception should tell us the room to room line is disable between 22:00 - 08:00. Adding a small rubbish bin in toilet room. One more tissue box in living room. A small table next to sofa for placing tea and food...etc. Anyway, the overall experience in this hotel is great and comfortable. Would like to visit again

Took a bit of a tussle even with the baidu map to reach this place, but once you find it, you'll figure directions easily - great location close by Jingshan Park (literally 200m away), the forbidden palace and other closeby attractions. Location is not short of eateries and supermarkets, and is accessible with buses and a 15 minute walk to 2 different subway stations. Although customer service wasn't eloquent in English, they tried their best and was very helpful at check-in and when we had questions about directions and getting to the railway station. Room was pleasant and wifi works well too - nice place for a quick rest for a day of exploring. I'd definitely recommend staying here and would book another stay if I visit beijing again.

I used to work in one of the only 4 diamond hotels in my state in the United States. So i know what goes into a hotel and am usually very picky. This hotel was amazing. It was clean, they were polite, the staff spoke english. This was the highest class and overall best hotel i have ever stayed in. The pools were remarkable. Inside the changing rooms near the pool are a massive hot tub which could fit 30, a cold bath which could fit 15, and a suana and steam room. All seperated by sex. (My partner had her own in her changing room.) The restaraunt had a buffett for i think it was 88 yuan which was a deal. Great location. I live in beijing as a foreigner so this was just a get away night to have fun on the weekend. I will definitly be returning.

we booked 3 rooms for a total of 8 consecutive nights. the hotel is situated in a great location in between two train lines. the hotel capitalizes that mainly westerners use the hotel and charges everything at ridiculous prices. after a few nights we desperately needed to wash our clothes, but to wash our clothes with the hotel services would have easily costs over (to wash a tie for example). when we asked reception if there was a coin laundry nearby they recommended we use the hotel and only reluctantly gave us directions when we told them that we didn't want to use their services. breakfast is overpriced, do not go there if you don't have it included. for five coffees, two breakfast cereals (cornflakes), one bowl of fruit and toast came to 498rmb!!!! ridiculously expensive. avoid buying anything from the hotel. i paid 44rmb for a beer in the lobby the first night but bought my own beers for 6rmb and drank them there the following nights. housekeeping were good, the only mild complaint would be that my single bed to be against the wall and the carpet underneath was really dirty. however, whenever we needed anything (like a needle to fix my button or an iron) it was delivered promptly. they also shine your shoes for free. didn't use the facilities because we were too busy (leaving early, returning late), but the gym is very cheap looking so don't book this hotel just for that feature. apart from the ridiculous prices, the hotel is great. just walk out reception, turn right and walk for 500m and there is a great shopping district complete with markets (if you're looking for the markets, it's on the same side as the hotel and it's in a building with a mcdonalds - the markets are awesome). i had a great time in beijing and the hotel really is in a prime spot do carry out everything you need. if they just lowered their prices they would be fantastic.

Better than what people complained about, not as good as some raving reviews. Yes I too had problems with the internet...it was intermittent and signal was weird, my gf had it working sometimes...I gave up. To be fair to the staff, 2 people came and made it better. Service was good, most staff knew enough english to get by. Breakfast...I heard complaints but i didn't try til last morning there...no complaints from me...I have to have something close to an american breakfast everday, and being right there with such a variety. Place was clean, gave plenty of towels, water and supplies. Bathroom smelled a little moldy, mildew. They have a wonderful book there about the old neighborhoods and the quadrangle courtyard homes from 100's of years ago...check them out,take a bike-shaw and see them in a tour. Never used room service. There seemed to be some limited parking. TV worked but we enjoyed the music shows. Like has been said before...its a wanna-be 4 star with a great history and location. Price was comparable, looking at other reviews of other locations I think there are less problems here. Many good areas & restaurants nearby. But all in all...it was more than ok, & I would stay again. If they fixed it up...it would be about perfect for me.

We love this hotel. This is a big hotel. A local 5 star hotel with spacios room, big size bathroom, very clean room and complete amenities. Superb location it is only 100 mtr away from Dongdan station (line 1 & 5) exit B facing to the Jianguo hotel and 200 mtr away to exit A & F facing to the malls at oriental. Subway transportation is the best way to explore beijing since it is very very difficult to find a local who can speak english. Wangfujing street it is around 1 km away from the hotel (right behind of the malls at oriental). I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone
