It was indeed a pleasant experience staying in this hotel for 5 days. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Further, the airconditioning system was superb especially the summer season in Beijing. The hotel is located near the major shopping street at Wangfujing and the nearest subway station is 10 mins away from the hotel. The hotel staff are also prompt in responding to my enquiries and have been very friendly throughout my stay. The only downside is that the swimming pool is small and can only accommodate a few people at any one time. Nevertheless, with its prime location and excellent room, I would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a 5-star hotel in Wangfujing area.

It may not be up to the five-star standard but is still as good as a four-star hotel. The room is spatial, clean and comfortable. The staff is in general friendly. The location is good - within walking distance to Chongwenmen Subway Station, Qianmen Dajie, Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing, and is accessible to the Forbidden City, Tiantan, Yonghe Lama Temple, Temple of Confucius, Xiushui Street, Beijing Railway Station, etc., within 5 subway stations.

Our 4-night stay at this hotel was one of the best I've ever had. This hotel's location is perfect for me and my group, since we didn't have any tour arrangements and so we are reliant on the city's subway system. Right outside the hotel is the Chongwenmen station of Line 2 and in Beijing there are many transfer stations so reaching just one station is already fine and you can go just about anywhere you want. Also across the block is Mr. Lee's restaurant which is open 24/7 and they serve pretty good food. There's also the Sapporo Bakery beside the hotel, also selling nice-tasting breads. A little farther walk across the street takes you to a commercialized avenue with 2 huge malls, New World and Glory Mall (they have foreign brands such as Sephora, H&M, New Look, etc.) On this lane you can also find a KFC, a McDonalds, Starbucks, Haagen Dazs, Costa Coffee, etc. The hotel is a member of the Accor Group (also includes Sofitel) so you can expect superb service and hotel quality. The room is clean, spacious, with flat-screen TV, a clean bathroom and friendly staff. It's also reasonably priced (a little more would probably get me nearer Wangfujing but then again, with a subway in front of the hotel, it's easy to get there anyway.) Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Hotel for 7 nights. The Hotel is conveniently located within the Wangfujing shopping area and also near to attractions like the Forbidden City (we walked there from the Hotel) and Tiananmen. The Wangfujing subway station is 10-15 minutes’ walk away but it is not a difficult walk as there are shopping malls along the way. Airport shuttle bus (25RMB) stops very near to the Hotel. The Hotel has a good gym and swimming pool. The room was a little old but spacious and overall acceptable and no problem with the air-con. The Hotel staff from the front desk to the concierge to the housekeeping were friendly and helpful. We would especially like to thank the young man from the concierge who was working on 18 May ~9pm. We were having problem with an external agent over a tour booking and approached the staff for help; he was polite and full of initiative to help and even used his phone to help us call the external agent. Overall, a very good hotel!

Me and my friend had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel is big and clean. The best part was the superb location, with only 5 minutes to the famous Wangfujing Rd and 5 minutes to the subway. Directions to Wangfujing: Go to left as you walk out and then turn left again and you'll reach Wangfujing and the shoppingmall Intime Lotte (if you pass a small church on your left side you know you are right). Directions to subway: Walk right as you walk out from the hotel. As you reach the red lights/crossing, turn right again and walk for approx 2 minutes. You will reach the 'Dengshikou' station.

One of the best hotel I've stayed for holiday. Everything about the hotel have a high end feel and look; from the hotel lobby to hotel room, swimming pool, gym and etc. Our 2 young children totally love the room the moment we stepped into it! We were given a room on 15th floor with a big ceiling to floor window facing the city. The two double beds are very comfortable and is bigger then the usual double bed given in other hotels. The hotel has good location. Subway station is just at the right side of the hotel building (1-2 min walk). For shopping and night market, the famous Wangfujing shopping street is about 10-15min walk away. Several convenient shops around the hotels including one 24hrs opposite the hotel.

The hotel is well located in the city and within easily travel to many tourist sites such as the Forbidden City, Tian Ann Men, Natural History Museum. The WangFujing subway station is within 10min walking distant. Hotel is located within walking distance of 2 large shopping complex. The staff are very helpful and all understand English and speak English, important for those who do not speak Mandarin. The rooms are large by hotel standards and comfortable. Condition is well maintained and are very comfortable. Service is good and prompt. Restaurants serve unique Chinses and Fusion food of high quality. Overall cost somewhat higher than average but I suppose one has to pay for the good things. Recommend to those who want the luxury and can afford it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room and service were top notch. The hotel allowed us to store our bags there a couple of days before we were due to check in, saving us from having to lug our entire bag to Xi'an and back. Coming back, we arrived early from an overnight train from Xi'an and were looking forward to a hot shower to freshen up before we head out. The room that we booked was not ready due to the early hour so the reception offered to upgrade us at xxx per night. We were reluctant to venture outside our tight budget and declined the upgrade, but the reception was kind enough to check with her supervisor, then offered us a complimentary upgrade. Awesomeness! Another thing to note: A room deposit is not necessary unless you intent to use the laundry, room service, etc services. The Room: The bed and pillows were heavenly - we were reluctant to get out of the comfortable bed each morning! Everything was spick and span and there were a good choice of channels available on the TV. We ordered room service one cold and windy night - the food was decent and service was prompt. We had to settle the bill promptly though, as we did not pay the room deposit. The Service: Service was warm and the staff displayed initiative in responding to customers. They were able to give good advice on estimated time to arrive at the airport and were familiar with which aircraft carriers report to which airport terminals. The staff were proficient in English as well and were able to suggest a few food choices for us when we asked. The Location: Hotel is located just behind The Regent, which cab drivers are more familiar with - we usually told the cab drivers to bring us to The Regent instead. The convenient location means that Wangfujing is just a short walk away and that the nearest subway station (dengshikou - Exit C) was just a short walk away (take the back door - from the lift, turn right and walk straight through the double doors). Fantastic hotel - will stay there again.

Of all the 4 hotels we stayed at for this trip, this was the cheapest by a noticeable margin, but by far the best value. Excellent and plentiful breakfast buffet, friendly staff overall-especially if you speak Chinese, very clean and modern room and facilities, next to a subway station on one of the major lines, minutes away from several must-see tourist destinations in Beijing incl. the Forbidden Palace, Wangfujing St., the Temple of Heaven, Qianmen St., and Tiananmen Square. What more can you ask for?! We will definitely put this hotel at the top of our list for next visit.

the rafles beijing is located within walking distance from the forbidden city in one direction and vibrant wangfujing street in the other. there is also a metro (subway) station nearby. other areas have more hutong life in the vicinity, but you can't have everything. it's a classic, old-world hotel with modern facilites like a pool and jacuzzi, fitness room, and a few bars and restaurants. food service is pricey like at most hotels of international caliber, but wangfujing and its sidestreets offer many options ranging from american fast food to vendors offering typical local street food to outdoor bars and sit-down chinese restaurants. i requested a non-smoking room, and it was fine within, but i did smell cigarette smoke in the hallway on the way to and from my room.

The hotel is in a great location towards the northern end of Wangfujing Street. It is well served by taxis and is 15/25 mins walk respectively from subway stations at Dongdan and Wangfujing. I stayed here whilst on business but the hotel would also work very well for tourists. The rooms are a little dated but they are comfortable. The hotel's best feature is an atrium lounge perfect for a relaxing drink.I would certainly stay here again.

The hotel is located in a "Hutong", i.e., a very small alley. Most taxi drivers refuse to go into those, but I arrived at 11 p.m., it was dark, and I couldn't see the hotel from the entrance of the Hutong, so I begged and pleaded with the taxi driver, who finally consented to taking me all the way to the hotel (I gave him a good tip for his pains). Once I arrived, I found that the staff had, indeed, read the message I left through Agoda about my adult daughter arriving separately and much earlier than me. Overall, the staff was very helpful ... from booking us on a tour to the Great Wall and rebooking it due to some unexpected health issues, to serving us breakfast extra early so we could make it to the tourbus on time. The facilities are nice, but in a few places could use some repairs. The (included) breakfast was a mix of traditional Chinese food (sweet and sour pork, rice porridge, etc.), and Western foods such as cereal, French Toast, regular toast with butter, jam, cheese, and some fresh fruit and yoghurt. The location is within walking distance of the Forbidden City (GoogleMaps helps a lot in getting there) and easy access to a subway station that gives quick and rush hour-free access to Beijing South Railway Station and other sites for just a few RMB.

This was my first visit to Beijing. I booked this hotel after reading good reviews about it. My consideration to book this hotel is finding optimal location to tourist attraction, more than 8 rating by at least 100 reviewers, cost effectiveness and availability of fast food like McDonald/Subway(I don't eat Beef and Pork and do not understand Chinese too), and subway station within walking distance of 10 min. From Beijing Int'l airport(Terminal3) to this hotel will cost 110 RMB by Taxi. The nearest subway station(Tienanmen East) is 12-15 min walking distance so not comfortable to travel by Beijing subway from airport with heavy luggage. The hotel staff can speak English fluently while I didn't found even a single person in my 5 days visit in Beijing other than hotel staff and Starbucks cash counter who can speak in English and can tell the direction. I booked courtyard room but I was allotted room at 6th floor while courtyard is accessible from 5th floor and ground floor. It could had been let down but it was -7 C outside so really didn't matter to me. If visiting in summer(Apr-Oct) then its preferable to book courtyard room(if budget is not a concern) and enjoy the morning tea/coffee or smoking in the small 6ftX10ft courtyard. Room quality is very good and varieties of toiletries. Small kitchen closet is present with fridge and water boiler. Microwave is not available. Television have English channel unlike many other hotels. Wireless internet is available free but speed is very low. Food: I didn't had the option to book the room with breakfast via agoda.com so not able to comment on food quality. The breakfast coupon can be separately purchased from the reception by paying 70 RMB each person. Better book room with breakfast online as other than subway sandwich shop outside the hotel no restaurant is open during 7-8am. There are 5-6 local chinese food restaurants is available opposite the hotel and a subway sandwich shop and 24X7 seven-eleven type of super s

This is the best hotel I stayed in Beijing. If you want to experience Chinese Culture in depth, you do not want to miss this hotel. The hotel is a heritage courtyard house of an ancient scholar back in the emperor's day (ask the luggage boy, he will tell you all about it). The layout of the rooms and garden, and the interior of the rooms and furniture are all very ancient style (not some cheap furniture), which will bring us back to the emperor's day, just like what you see in the movies. The staffs are all very friendly and polite, the receptionists and even the luggage boy. The luggage boy spend time tell us a lot about the history of this hotel, which make it more meaningful when you stayed in there. The location of the hotel is very near the City centre, in the alley way (hutong), but no big departmental store nearby. However it does give you a feel when you walk thru the hutong to the main street (quite safe in the hutong as there is a police station next to the hotel). 10 mins walk will bring you to a subway station, which will bring you to the downtown shopping area within 3 stations. Free wifi and broadband computer in the room, very handy. I will definitely stay in this hotel again if I go to Beijing as it leaves a very good impression.

The room is better than what we expected. Toiletries, hair dryer, international port (we are from Malaysia but we can still charge our phones here), 6 pillows and 1 bolster are provided for Standard King Room. For transportation, the bus station is on the right side of the hotel (50m). You can take bus 104 to Wangfujing to take subway. (only 2 RMB) Wangfujing subway station is in the mall, 100m after you got down from the bus. Before subway you can even grab breakfast at Wangfujing, you can find a few malls and plenty of food stores here. Very convenient. The staff at the front desk of hotel are helpful, they helped us to contact taxi to airport which only costed us less than 100RMB. The taxi arrived in less than 5 mins, at 1am in the midnight. The counter is open 24 hours. We are very happy with our stay (7 nights). Hope you guys will find this tips helpful to you.

Stayed here for 8 nights. Clean, nice and v safe hotel. Highly recommended for comfort. However, downside is a little far from WangFuJing, about 15mins walk. Nearest subway is DengKouShi 灯口市 station, at least a 10mins quick walk. Next nearest subway station is WangFuJing station, about 20mins walk. There is a little Family Mart right across the road. Next nearest eating area is at DengKouShi street, about 10mins walk. There are 庆丰包子，McDonald's and other cafes and eateries. I would definitely consider returning.

We had a lot of expectations about this hotel and truly it did not disappoint us. When we checked in, we were told that we were upgraded and the front desk staff even went out of her way to accompany us into our room to check that everything is alright. The room size is just right for us and the beddings and bathroom are just perfect. Breakfast for the three days were great, staff at the buffet breakfast (Jing) were attentive and some knows fluent English. Its a good thing I brought with me my smart phone that has a translator (its a must!) so even if they can't understand some things I requested in English, I could blurt out in simple Chinese words through my translator. The only downside of the breakfast is that in the three days, the food choices are almost the same. The hotel is very near the subway station, particularly Dengshikuo station. It is also near the Wangfujing shopping district and near the exotic street food area. A few more blocks are places of interests such as Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Great Hall of the People. Overall, our first time in Beijing was very memorable and a great part of it was the hotel experience.

The hotel is located in Wangfujing, the main shopping belt of Beijing. It is near to DengSiKou Subway Station with only a short walk of around 10 minutes. The nearby vicinity has many eateries and it is also a short walk to Airport Shuttle Bus Stop. The staff are helpful and although the hotel is small and no facility besides rooms, the rooms are comfortable with TV, water pressure is great and also slippers and toiletries are provided. This is a good hotel for budget conscious travelers and I would like to recommend this hotel to all,

Excellent hotel location with 5-6 minutes walk from Wangfujing Subway station. Also, great location by walking distance to Tian Anmen Square and Forbidden City. The outside facade looks old, but once step inside, everything changes. This is what you called “Don’t judge the book by its cover”. The room is clean, staffs are friendly and able to speak a little bit of English. I will surely book again this hotel if I will come again to Beijing in the future.

Took a bit of a tussle even with the baidu map to reach this place, but once you find it, you'll figure directions easily - great location close by Jingshan Park (literally 200m away), the forbidden palace and other closeby attractions. Location is not short of eateries and supermarkets, and is accessible with buses and a 15 minute walk to 2 different subway stations. Although customer service wasn't eloquent in English, they tried their best and was very helpful at check-in and when we had questions about directions and getting to the railway station. Room was pleasant and wifi works well too - nice place for a quick rest for a day of exploring. I'd definitely recommend staying here and would book another stay if I visit beijing again.

The hotel is in the city center and conveniently located near the Dengshikou subway station. It's within walking distance of Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing shopping district. The breakfast buffet has many choices and my family loved it. The staff was courteous and helped us purchase train tickets. The hotel is clean. However, the AC in our room wasn't cold enough in the hot summer in Beijing.

On websites, the hotel lists itself near Gugong (Imperial Palace) and Wangfujing, but it is 2-3 subway stops away. Nevertheless, it is conveniently located: walking distance to the Domestic Airlines Building (where you get on the airport bus for a one-hour ride), Tian'anmen Square, and Xuenwuming subway station (Lines 2 and 4). North of Tian'anmen is the Imperial Palace. The staff's service is excellent. I needed to repack a cardboard box, and the hotel provided me packing tapes. The wi-fi is complimentary, as are two bottles of water each day. There are a swimming pool and fitness center in the basement, but there is no wi-fi there. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are restaurants in small alleys (hutongs) across the street.

The hotel was very nice nice and offered very good value for the money. It's very near Tiananmen Square and about 15 minutes walk from Wangfujing Subway Station. It has some nice restaurants in the vicinity as well. The staff were nice and accommodating, but not exactly overly friendly, which is normal in China. The standard room I got was clean and spacious enough for two people to be comfortable. The bathroom was clean and it offered all the necessary amenities, shower, tub, lotions, towel, hairdryer etc. If you wanted, they changed the towel and sheets daily. It also had air conditioning which was nice. The room didn't smell of cigarette or anything like that. The only "negative" thing is that if you have to exchange money at the reception desk, they absolutely won't accept damaged banknotes, even if it's a 1mm cut. It has to be completely undamaged. If I return in Beijing, I will book this hotel again, I recommend it as a place that offers good value for the money.

We love this hotel. This is a big hotel. A local 5 star hotel with spacios room, big size bathroom, very clean room and complete amenities. Superb location it is only 100 mtr away from Dongdan station (line 1 & 5) exit B facing to the Jianguo hotel and 200 mtr away to exit A & F facing to the malls at oriental. Subway transportation is the best way to explore beijing since it is very very difficult to find a local who can speak english. Wangfujing street it is around 1 km away from the hotel (right behind of the malls at oriental). I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone
