"I stayed at the Pine Tree hotel for three nights whilst visiting my Partner who is from Batu Pahat. I wasn't really sure what to expect in this region of Malaysia but in the end we had a very enjoyable stay. From the outside the hotel looks a bit run down and I was a bit worried when approaching in the car. The rather shabby looking underground car park did not help with this first impression either! Once into the hotel lobby however all this changed. The lobby was light and airy with quite tasteful decor. We were very impressed by the staff at the reception desk who were friendly and efficient. We went to our room and found it to be very comfortable with modern wood style furniture and a large European style double bed. The bathroom was also nicely appointed with bespoke style fixtures and fittings. The TV was brand new and had a reasonable selection of channels. There was a good selection of Tea and coffee facilities and a nice touch was that water was provided free of charge every day. One criticism would be that the air conditioning was not terribly effective. We found the room overly warm on the first day and it seems to struggle to keep the room cool. We did ask about it but the technician seems to think it was working normally. There were no alternative rooms available. Anyway, we got a second key card and left it running when we went out and just left the curtains closed all the time. We made do! A little bonus was that although my agoda booking said breakfast was not included we actually got it with the room price. The breakfast wasn't bad with a good selection of cereals, omelettes and Asian style food such as noodles and spring rolls. Overall I would say that the Pine Tree is a good value option for visitors to Batu Pahat who want a clean modern hotel. It is correctly rated at three starts due to the lack of other facilities such as a pool and gym."

The mall attach to the hotel do have a supermarket and a small foodcourt at the outside of the mall. The nearest mall that everyone should visit will be the Batu Pahat Mall. "It was good to find an Ironing Board and Iron tucked away in the closet, for guests to use. However, I missed having a kettle in the room so I could have tea/coffee when I felt like it. I did enquire at Reception upon arriving whether there were facilities for making tea/coffee, but the guy at Reception seemed not to understand; later he said there was a Water Dispenser in the corridor for Hot/Cold water, and packets of three-in-one Coffee in the room (i.e. no sugar/milk supplied; there were 2 pouches of the three-in-one coffee, which did not taste good). I was a bit disappointed; the Water Dispenser in the corridor is no substitute for a kettle in the room. However, Location great, parking easy; Breakfast very good. "

"Everything was super great, free banana, coffee and tea. Large room. Beautifully renovated. Hassle-free check-in and check-out. I am a bit disappointed with breakfast since I was persuaded to book a room in view of the hotel's reputation for great food. The breakfast is not buffet style, so it is limited choices. The outside noise is also super annoying. Parking is limited, thankfully we came right on time when parking is available. That said, I like the place. One of the better hotels in the area. "

"For that price, I get 2Q/1S beds. That's value for money. Plus a table for writing my journal. Water pressure is fantastic. Great for travellers who need no frills but just need a place to retire for the day. Food available around the corner, available round the clock. Car parking no issue: plenty around. Room WIFI available to keep my teenage sons occupied. Downside, preferably use own towels as those provided are thin and best for wiping feet. For those who can, bring own pillows for comfort. Overall, I will return as I rather saved excess money on shopping than staying in those "starred" hotels. "

"Booked Saturday one night stay in Silver Inn hotel with best pricing from Agoda. Prompt check-in (within 5 minutes) and friendly reception staff upon arrival. The standard room was spacious with two single beds and comfy with princess theme on the wall. Air-cond was in good and cooling condition, toilet also clean. Must try the 顺来粿汁 + fried kway teow just opposite the hotel. Strongly recommend from internet and indeed was delicious. Overall stay was pleasant and hotel parking lot are plenty. For sure will consider Silver Inn hotel again if happen to be at BP."
