Courage see a change rate is very good comparing to the bank of China which is around 6.95 so you don’t need to go to bank of China or ATM and pay the transaction fees. Located close to Dongsi and national Museum stations. I will recommend you to purchase ic cards and use them for bus to go to Subway stations and subway. 7-Eleven and attached small Chinese restaurant within walking distance like 10 minutes, and about less than 10 minutes to Family Mart with seats for sitdown eating. Location is very close to a subway stops for tourist attractions within one or two transfers depending on where you going. Breakfast buffet is about 89 yuan.

great location - near forbidden city, tian an square, chairman mao memorial hall, nation museum....just walking 25-30 minutes easy to find - just near the MRT station - beijing station 2 - zhong wen men station - walk 15 minutes will reach.... clean worker so great....she will inform us to clean room early......she cleaning room still we are in room ....she also ask and give what thing we need (mineral water, syampol and other) ....she always smile still she cleaning room (hard work)....

The hotel is right at Wangfujing Street and is only a couple minutes walk to the pedestrian-only section. A great location for food and shopping. Subway station is within walking distance, but I would advise taking a taxi to get there if you have luggage since it is several minutes of walk from the subway station. The hotel enforces the non-smoking rule pretty well. There was no cigarette smell in the lobby, corridor, and room. It is unusual in China. (Many five-star hotels in China don't enforce the non-smoking rule, even in non-smoking rooms.) If you can't stand cigarette smell, stay in this hotel. The room is kind of small and old but functional. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I will stay there again.

Great stay while for a few days while transiting. Staff helpful with directions. Bought a train ticket with very low handling fee. 10 minute walk to the metro (subway) station at Denshikou; buses (CNY2)near-by; taxis out front. 5 minute walk to Wangfujing with shopping and dining. 20-30 minute walk to Tiananmen Square, National Museum, Forbidden City and, another direction, same time to National Art Gallery.

we loved this hotel. we were really surprise with the beds especially. most china hotels have hard beds but tianan rega hotel provides its customers with soft beds that makes your stay relaxing and comfortable. although english is not spoken by many chinese, the staff try their best to answer your questions. we will surely stay in this hotel again once we come back to beijing.

i loved this hotel, value for money, what you see in the pictures is well, what you would get. travelling with family with older parents. booked 1 deluxe room and 1 suite room. both rooms were spacious, new, clean, bright, comfortable. you get fresh, clean and white towels daily, laundry service good, all in all very satisfied. hotel staff are all very obliging and polite. toilets are huge, there's 2 toilets for the suite room, shower area of the suite room comes with high ceiling, good water pressure, bathtub etc. front desk was very helpful in answering our questions (eg: how to get to places, where to go to get certain things). it does live up to its 4 star rating, since most 4 star hotels in china tend to be more like a 3 star hotel. subway/metro station: dongdan station, abt 3 minutes walk. nice and quiet area. cons: menu for room service was limited, not near amenities (eg shopping centres/super markets).

The Raffles Beijing is an excellent choice for any traveller looking to visit Beijing on a middle to middle-upper budget. Thanks to a superb deal from Agoda, stayed there for 6 nights on my first visit to Beijing. Without exaggeration, the Raffles Beijing's location couldn't be any more central - it's a 3-minute stroll to Wangfuiing Street (Beijing's main pedestrian street), a 12-15 minute walk to the Forbidden City, the National Museum of China and Tiananmen Square, and for those of you inclined to take the subway (which itself is an excellent way of navigating the city), the subway entrance is literally at the hotel's doorstep. Not to mention, just stepping into the lobby provides some much appreciated respite from the millions of domestic and foreign tourists that throng the streets of Beijing. For comfort, convenience, and privacy, can't go wrong with the Raffles.

I had booked this hotel at the last minute after being stuck in another crappy hotel for a night. As I checked in nearly 10pm at night, they informed me that the standard room I booked were no longer available. Instead, they upgraded me to a deluxe room at no extra costs which was a blessing for me. The room was clean and luxurious. Only down side was that the aircon turned periodically on and off. So many hotels in China seemed to do that! As they believe that maintaining the room at certain temperatures were healthier for us. I was happy with my deluxe room but I cannot be sure how the standard room might have turned out.

The hotel is in the middle of a vast tourist place of sites, museums, malls and shops including foodstores, fastfood, and souvenir shops. It is a perfect place to play tourists. Since Tiananmen is a short walk away, waking up early for the iconic flag-raising or staying late for the flag lowering is easily doable, and thus leave the entire day open for something else.

We've lived in China for 25 years but never stayed in a Hutong so we gave it a shot for something different and we are glad we did. The simple breakfast was pleasant to eat out in the courtyard while listening to the birds (early June). We experienced the Executive Suite which was very nice and opened onto the main courtyard, which is worth the upgrade from the standard rooms if you plan on having quiet mornings or evenings outside the room. The VIP suite is only marginally more expensive but 30% larger and definitely the best value unless you're going to rush out early in the morning and come home late at night. When we stayed there were very few guests so it was very quiet, if it was packed then it might have been nosier because you're literally surrounding the the courtyard where anyone can gather.

After staying so many hotels in China, I like this hotel as it is near to the busy streets with lots of food and during winter you can open the back garden door to cool down your room as the air con in China is usually too hot. Just 2 street beside the hotel is the famous Wangfujing street where you can buy or eat over there. Hotel services is good too except their cafe staffs always looks so blur or perharps I should say the way they work is very blurs - never us their mind to think when serving, I suggest their boss better send them for a better training in order to have more happy customers.

The room was big and clean with all the amenities I expected. Breakfast was ok, but I have to give props to the hot pot restaurant, it was delicious and reasonably priced than outside hot pot restaurants. Location was good since it is near majors attractions but the hotel itself is located between 2 metro stops, so a 10 minutes walk to either metro entrance. Staffs were overall great, friendly and helpful, with the exception of the check in staffs of that particular night, they weren't mean or rude, just not particularly friendly or informative. I would definitely stay again though! Well worth the money and reasonably priced compared to other 4 stars hotels in the area.

We are a family of 2 adult and 2 children,(13yr and 11yr), stayed in the Premier room(twin beds). Each bed is 1.4m x2m, quite spacious, can sleep 2 persons per bed. Room, towels and linens are ver clean. Clean and lovely pools for children(small heated pool) and adults. Hotel buffet is very expensive (RMB 150 per person), we did not try it. Nearest metro is National Art Museum. Win which you can interchange the lines according to your destinations. There are toilets in most of the metros, all about Beijing including various places of interest such as the Forbidden city, the Great Wall, Summèr Palace.and etc. Not easy to find food around hotel. Nearest mall (Apm Mall) iand Wanfujing Pedestrian Street is 15min to 20min walk away., many restaurants on 5th and 6th floor. The Gandma's restaurant at APM Mall to be cheapest, really worth the price, especially their big fish(RMB 150). Get a cab (Rmb 20)from hotel to Jing Ding Xuan restaurant, good dim sum+chinese dishes.

While the staff deliver 5 star service the hotel's infrastructure is no longer 5 star, with the exception of the pool/gym. Ownership needs desperately to invest in a refurbishment of the rooms/halls, etc. That said, at the right price point, this hotel represents arguably the best hotel value in Beijing. Through a prepay/no refund deal available only on Agoda, my wife and I obtained a great price (excluding breakfast but including taxes for 5 nights in early Jan 2014) and, thus, enjoyed an excellent stay. Our grand deluxe room was quite comfortable and, when a few things needed fixing, the staff responded immediately and quickly resolved the issues. The lobby lounge is a very good spot for meetings over tea/coffee and the gym/pool are excellent. We did not eat in the hotel so no comment on dining. The location of the hotel is great and, for those interested, there is a subway stop less than 5 minutes walk. There are also coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, etc., all within a very short walk of the hotel. In sum, while this property is no longer 5 star in overall quality and certainly not nearly the same quality level as the rest of the Peninsula Hotels around the world, at the right price point it is worth considering and for visits to Beijing. We will certainly consider it for our next visit.

Stayed all over China this place is at the top of its price range. Not for the hotel or facilities. Location...subway around the corner key to traveling big cities in China. 4 of the biggest malls a block away. Forbidden city, T-square, and a hill for amazing views like 5mins west. The rooms are not huge nor impressive. But clean and spacious enough to be comfortable for the price. Good showers. TV. Decent beds. Drinking water which is actually so needed. Didn't try the menu or eat at the hotel restaurant why bother the streets are cheaper and food courts in the malls are actually very good quality. This place works as a safe, warm, and we'll priced place to drop bags explore the city and easily get home to a decent sleep

My main concern of china budget hotels mainly are their cleanliness especially the toilets but Citytel inn Have no problem. Love the location very much. Housekeeping response very promptly and efficiently. Receptionist very helpful, and even help us getting a taxi without extra cost. The safety check they're having are troublesome but means it safety are good too. Wifi available at lobby. Hotel restaurant serve excellent foods.

EChoose this hotel cause it is new and in the best location in Beijing. Staff are nice and helpful. Facilities are all in top grade. There is room to improve. Like better communication on check in, reception should tell us the room to room line is disable between 22:00 - 08:00. Adding a small rubbish bin in toilet room. One more tissue box in living room. A small table next to sofa for placing tea and food...etc. Anyway, the overall experience in this hotel is great and comfortable. Would like to visit again

Though a little hard to find, hotel is actually conventiently located just 3 bus stops away from subway station Dong Si and is just a few bus stops from Tian An Men Square. Hotel is only a short walk from Xuan Wu Men or North Gate (exit gate) of the Forbidden City. Do note that visitation to the Forbidden City is currently uni-directional i.e. you could only enter from the the main entrance at South Gate at Tian An Men Square and exit from the North Gate. The hotel is located in the middle of a small road. Getting out of the hotel turning right is a small decent road which is the direction of access to the North Gate of Forbidden City. Getting out turning right however, is an alley "Hu Tong" which is lined with small shops which one would not imagine could lead to a decent multi-story hotel housed within a compound although at the beginning of the road is several signage in Chinese showing there are several hotel/motel down the road. So don't be surprise if you first hit this alley when you try to find the hotel. Trully worth noting is, housed within the compound facing the entrance gate of the hotel is the building which was once the resort home of Princess He Jia, the fourth daughter of Emperor Qian Long. In 1898, this building was converted to an educational instituion which is the predecessor of the current Peking University. It was once the tallest educational building in China. Hotel is also just next to Jing Shan Park. Wang Fu Jing and the Prince Gong Mansion (Gong Wang Fu) aren't too far to access too, although transport maybe necessary.

The Legendale Hotel made dreams come true for us. The details of the interior, the kind and attentive staff and the glorious rooms were what fairytales are made of! We enjoyed the location too since it is near bus stations and subway entrances. A little walk further down the street is wang fu jing street where tourists can buy street food and souvenirs at reasonable prices as well as high end signature items such as Prada, LV,etc. The food at the hotel is fantastic! There is hot water in the shower. Our slight problem was the air conditioner in the room. It was set at a warm temperature and we could not make it cooler since I think it is centralized. We asked someone from the hotel to fix it but it went back to warmer temperature. However, all in all, it was a grand way to visit China.
