Literally at the center, right next to Wangfujing Shopping Street! So many stores nearby even souvenirs can be bought inside the hotel. The staff are not very good in english but they're very courteous and honest. We dropped my son's thermal jacket in the elevator and it was returned to us in more than 5mins when we arrived at our room. Just little concern about the toilet, it doesn't flush out easily and takes long to refill. Aside from that our overall Beijing experience was really memorable. We were all well rested after whole day tours. Very comfortable, and we highly recommend it to all travellers with young children like us. Most of other hotels will charge an extra fee for a kid, but in this hotel the child can stay for free for all 12 yrs and below! Very child & family friendly. The buffet was ok but it's just a plus. Thank you Sunworld Dynasty. We don't know when we'll be back but we surely had a great 1-week stay.

i arrived to a very friendly, helpful front desk with one member that spoke english. my chinese is pretty broken, but we were able to fumble through the check-in in reasonable time (i had lost my passport and was travelling with a temporary passport without a new chinese visa, so there were some phone calls that needed to be made to the government first; side note - don't lose your passport in china; it's one of the worst countries in the world to have this happen). when i went up to my room, i found it had not yet been cleaned from the previous guest. i left my luggage and went for dinner, hoping it would be taken care of by the time i returned. when i got back, it had been cleaned without my telling the front desk. the staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay. although i didn't try either of the restaurants, some of the other guests mentioned they were very good. i glanced at the menu, however, and found the prices extremely expensive. a quick 5 minute walk will take you to restaurants with better menus and way better prices. this hotel is right beside it's 5-star sister hotel, the sunworld dynasty hotel. this hotel is very nice, but in my opinion not worth the extra money unless you are travelling for business and need a nice place to meet associates (there is a beautiful central courtyard on the second floor with a skylight where they play lovely traditional chinese music in the evenings). overall, i would give this hotel a 4.5/5. the only real issue was my room not being cleaned before my arrival. i would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We used the hotel as a base to explore Beijing and it was a good choice. Your located close to the center and the best thing is the access to the subway (don't buy single tickets!). Atmosphere in the hotel is decent, the staff is nice and most of them speaking sufficient English - but the breakfast is bolt. If you did not book breakfast with the package - go outside to somewhere else, but don't pay that amount of money for this breakfast. That said, this is the only point we have to complain about - the rest is really nice (also the italian restaurant).

Stayed in Hilton Wangfujing over 2 nights (20/07 and 21/07) was a great experience... So far, it is the best hotel I have stayed in Beijing since many times... It has great location which is located just beside Wangfujing Walking Street and around the hotel you can find almost everything you need. For the room, it is well decorated. Everything in the room is like perfect. It has a huge king size bed by the brand of Serta, which is very comfortable. It has a seperate bathroom with bath tub, 2 choices of rain shower, one like raining from the head and one like massaging from the back, a folder seat attached to the wall, you can even watch TV in the bathroom. For the Hilton staffs, they are so great that they are always there to serve & help you with any requests. Overall, it was a wonderful experience staying with Hilton Wangfujing... This is one of the best hotel I would highly recommended for anyone who want to stay in Beijing, even though the price for a night staying in this hotel is considered on the higher side....

got checked in really fast as we arrived at about 2 in the morning. the receptionist that night wasn't particularly rude but he wasn't exactly friendly either. asked him if there's any shops that serves local food for supper nearby and he just told us to order room service. the food was alright and the portion's rather huge. anyways, the hotel is within really short walking distance to the famous da dong roast duck restaurant at jin bao plaza. the food's really good. great variety and lovely atmosphere. skip quan ju de. park plaza is also rather close to the wang fu jing shopping district though i have to say there's nothing much there and its literally made for tourists. it's also about a 20 minute walk to the forbidden city. take a stroll there. it's lovely and not too stuffy on the winter. we booked a deluxe room as it stated here that it's above the 8th storey and we wanted a view. and we were given the 8th storey. they said they had no rooms left which is ummmm ... but forgoing all that, the room was above my expectations. it's a really good 4 star hotel, there's everything you need there. hair dryer, a hot tub after a day in the cold weather, tv with many channels, lots of space for your winter luggage. and most importantly, it's really clean. and the best part is, when we realized at the airport after we had checked out that i had left my ring in the room, the staff actually brought my ring over to the hotel in a sealed envelope after we called them to ask if my ring is there and if it's possible to bring it to the airport as our flight was in an hour and a half's time. it's really the best stay ever. thank you.

i loved this hotel, value for money, what you see in the pictures is well, what you would get. travelling with family with older parents. booked 1 deluxe room and 1 suite room. both rooms were spacious, new, clean, bright, comfortable. you get fresh, clean and white towels daily, laundry service good, all in all very satisfied. hotel staff are all very obliging and polite. toilets are huge, there's 2 toilets for the suite room, shower area of the suite room comes with high ceiling, good water pressure, bathtub etc. front desk was very helpful in answering our questions (eg: how to get to places, where to go to get certain things). it does live up to its 4 star rating, since most 4 star hotels in china tend to be more like a 3 star hotel. subway/metro station: dongdan station, abt 3 minutes walk. nice and quiet area. cons: menu for room service was limited, not near amenities (eg shopping centres/super markets).

We are in Beijing from 9 to 14 Dec 2015 and stay in Raffles for all 6 nights. Initially, we only booked 3 nights for the landmark room and intended to stay in other hotels around the area, as Raffles have a promotion of 3 nights for the price of 2. After the first night, we decided to stay for 3 more nights and the staffs allow us to stay in the same landmark room although we booked the executive room for the next 3 nights. We have a twin bed, but they were big enough for 2 persons, so our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children, age 8 and 12) can all stay in one room. The twin beds can be adjusted to join together as one very big bed for 4. Location was great, close to WangFuJing Shopping area and lots of things to eat around there. We visited most of the places, including, Tianmen, Forbidden City, Beihai Park, Temple of Heaven, Yonghe (lama) temple, Nanshan Ski resort, all by Metro and bus. Only join tour bus for the 1 day trip to Great Wall and Ming Tomb. Overall, very pleasant trip in Beijing.

I arrived after a very long fligh,rather tired,to be greeted by nice,polite and efficient young people at reception.Another kind youn man helped me with my luggage to my room.The room:big,beautiful,very comfortable bed,excellent matress,minibar well provided.Lights well sited,air condition working well.The bathroom ,complete,a la francaise,excellent.I must say that all this was a great surprise,much appreciated by Latin people like me.I was given some complementary fruit in me room,this was another good surprise.Lets us go to the dining room for breakfast:the reception girls,the young French manager?very polite and helpful.The waiters,discrete,efficient,polite.Buffet both Chinese and European ,again with the French touch of croissants,baguette,crepe and many other things.The Chinese side had a huge choice of different dishes as well,all fresh and tasty food. Back to the bedroom:I forgot to mention how generous toiletries and how nice and polite the room girls are,they manage to communicate in spite of not being fluent in English,but they do their best to please. Shops:I tried the clothes shop,top quality of very modern clothes and very nice shop attendant.Same commentaries for the shop nearest to reception,which sells of ort of Chinese beautiful things.Very polite lady working there.I did not use the currency exchange,but it is available all the time. Again reception people were nice,polite and efficient when I had to check out,both sorting out my account,dealing with my now heavy luggage and finding a proper taxi.The door man wrote the number of the taxi on a card which was given tome,just to make sure that everything goes smooth.This shows care and responsibility for the hotel guests till the very end. I would certainly like to come back,both to Beijing and to Novotel,Heping,at Jin Yu Hutong numer 3. Yours. M.Rambau.

We stayed at Beijing North Garden hotel for 3 nights at end of Oct 2011. We enjoyed our stay. The best part of the hotel is its prime location on the first block of the busiest Wanfujing street, the start of this prime tourist pedestrian shopping street which is full of big fancy departments stores, huge bookstore next door, alleys full of small stalls and food stands are just steps away. It is located in the trendy new Mall of the Orient complex where Grand Hyatt is located but at the fraction of the price. It is approx. 3 minutes walk from the WFJ subway station, across the street from 24HRS McDonalds which has a dedicated coffee counter, surrounded by hundreds of restaurants and shops and shopping malls. Each nightly casual stroll discovered even more surprises on the main street and side alleys. The front desk ladies are reserved without smile, but they warm up later and proved to be helpful. The concierge bellboy doesn’t seem to know much but front desk ladies tend to cut in fast to help out. We had a very spacious executive suite on the top 11th floor with open living room with sofa and 360 degree flat screen TV, smaller queen bed, safe, fridge and small bathroom, all seem clean and safe. The carpet is tan color, may seem old and dirty to some picky ones, but it looks clean to me upon closer exam. The executive lounge on 12th floor is no longer operational and locked up. No free breakfast and we did not bother to check. There is constantly stream of empty taxis driving pass the hotel so finding a taxi is very easy. The front door is guarded by policemen 24 hours a day. No card needed to go upstairs. Elevators are always ready and fast, very few people around. Taxi to PEK airport from hotel was easy, we reached airport at 8AM in 30 minutes in slow driving in thick fog, 80rmb plus 10rmb toll, total 90rmb. It is not a luxury hotel, 3 stars, but clean and spacious, with the best location in Beijing, very satisfied with North Garden Hotel.

This is a great Chinese boutique hotel with a good location (10 min walk to subway station). The rooms are beautiful with Chinese decorations, but the AC and the bathrooms have been modified to modern times. I stayed during winter and the heater was working perfectly. The service is impeccable. I have been in 5 star hotels in Tokyo and this hotel was even better in service than them. Perfect English speaking staff. Always friendly and always accepted requests. This is a great value for the money. I recommend the bigger rooms as their decorations seem even better. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

we are overall satisfied with our stay at Hotel Kapok. The hotel staff are friendly and can speak English. Rooms are clean with good bathroom amenities. The location of Kapok is great, its just 10 min. walk to Forbidden City & Wanfujing shopping area. In the evening of late summer, you may take a 30 min. walk to National Theatre of Performing Arts & Tianamen Square. Oh, the food stall opposite the hotel serve very good 'braised pork knuckle'.

The location is a bit far from the 2 nearest subway station in between dongsi and nanlouguxiang. A number of good restaurants nearby, e.g Little Yunan. The room is fairly size and clean. Take the room facing front side is better as the back is facing west sunset and hot. Air con may not be fast cool down the room at night. Only thing curious me. On the 3rd day night we received a message from hotel by a piece of plain paper, not a hotel memo that night after our dinner slip under our door apparently from our tourist guide to meet at the lobby at 7:40am next morning whereby we already make appointment earlier at 8am as usual same as the first few days. Anyway, the next morning we were at the lobby on time 7:40am and we were told by the reception that a guy was looking for us and a man suddenly approach us said that he was instructed by our tourist guide to take us to the Great Wall to meet him there which happen we are going to the Great Wall that day as well. We refuse to follow as he is not our driver for the past few days and we told him to call our tourist guide and get a confirmation by phone with us. The man behavior become furious and impatient since we refuse to follow him. By the time about 8am we saw our driver show up at outside the hotel and As i talk to my driver and man left immediately with his car. May be is a scam trap as I have heard a lot of scam stories . Anyway, coming back, wondering how they get our informations like my name, number of people and room number?? Thinking back look like the arrangement timing made is just a few minute earlier than normally we leave the hotel everyday for the few days. I'm not accusing anybody but have to be very careful!! Do not talk or follow strangers! Just for sharing.

The hotel isn't too bad but just not perfect. Overall rooms and services are ok. Breakfast is the pretty much the same stuff every day although there is a relative wide spread. The hotel is not inconvenient but it is not within close walking distance. Perhaps the few minutes of walking would be tolerable but in the summer heat, any minute less in the heat would be good. The nearest subway about 5 minutes away is the Cultural Center station but it requires multiple changes of lines to get to most of the attractions in Beijing. Wasn't as convenient as if you would stay near Line 1 or 2 or 4/5. Overall, the price isn't cheap too and can be considered steep. For the price, much more is expected. Hotel staff at breakfast also needs to explain more about the signing of the bill every morning for the breakfast before guest misunderstood that we may need to pay for breakfast when it's included in our package. Pool wasn't too bad with a slightly hot tub besides it. Didn't go to the gym.

this hotel is located on the center of beijing, the aroud area is a commeriacl area where you can shopping and have a lots of other things to do, and it would only take you like 15mins to arrive at Sanlitun or CBD, so it's very smart to stay in this area, and the hotel itself is very elegent, the stuff are friendly and helpful,also this is the first all-suite hotel in beijing so it has very large rooms, there is a art gallary in the 3rd floor which is just near the spa, some creative artworks and shown there. in a word, it's one of the best places to stay with in bejing, but it would be a little noisy ouside of the windonw during midnight.

Stayed all over China this place is at the top of its price range. Not for the hotel or facilities. Location...subway around the corner key to traveling big cities in China. 4 of the biggest malls a block away. Forbidden city, T-square, and a hill for amazing views like 5mins west. The rooms are not huge nor impressive. But clean and spacious enough to be comfortable for the price. Good showers. TV. Decent beds. Drinking water which is actually so needed. Didn't try the menu or eat at the hotel restaurant why bother the streets are cheaper and food courts in the malls are actually very good quality. This place works as a safe, warm, and we'll priced place to drop bags explore the city and easily get home to a decent sleep

Pros: cheap and near to tourist attractions. A bus stop outside the hotel takes you to the temple of heaven and other attractions, less than 15 to half an hour bus ride. Very convenient. The hotel staff are friendly, managed to book the entry ticket through the staff for the forbidden city. The room is clean and the cleaner change the bed sheet daily, upon request. Cons: if someone smoke in the room or along the corridor, you won't be able to stay in the room. The cigarettes smell will make you faint. I had to use mask on one night as the smell is terrible. You will need a ear plug if you want to sleep soundly. You get to hear conversation when someone pass by the corridor, especially in middle of the night. If you are a light sleeper , think twice. The mattress is extremely hard and you will get backache easily. Best way, request for extra blanket to layover. Overall, as a solo traveller, I will book this hotel again.

I was very excited to stay at a Waldorf Astoria. The staff is lovely, and for the most part speaks good English. However, a bit of a disaster while sleeping after aling journey the lighting system turned itself on at 2:30 AM and when I could not stand it any more, at 4:30 AM they sent up a technician that stayed working with a ladder and crawling into the crawl space - not to be fixed , when I returned at 10:00 AM. I had to pack all my bags and move nyself to a new room. And the worst part - they offered no credit or accommodation for basically ruinibg my first entire day. Note, the breakfast was okay, service delightful, and beds and baths luxury for Beijing. I would stay here again - if the price was conoarable to alike hotels in the area. The lobby was very small - for a Beijibg grand hotel - For the price, I should have stayed at the Pennusula or Grand Hyatt. Overall - I was comfortable - but expected more. Again - the staff - TOP NOTCH.

I went there on January. A pretty cold winter hitting from -10 to -6. From the airport took a cap with the address provided by agoda, the taci driver had a hard time finding the place. But with the little map provided by the hotel, the taxi drivers didn't have any hard time at all. The rooms are nice and confortable and very nice comparing to the price I paid through Agoda. For walk in guests, the price was more than twice of the price offered by Agoda. There was a strange smell in the corridors and the lifts. The hotel is located in a very small ally and very hard to locate in the first time. The name of the hotel is not written in English from the outside and the entrance for the building is hard to locate as well. But roomwise, I'm very very satisfied. Becuase of the location, you might think that the hotel is not what you expected, but once inside the room you will have no complains. There is always one staff in the front desk that speak english and they are all very polite.

I stayed here on multiple occasions over a 3 year period, always in a junior suite because it's the same price as a regular room in another 5-star hotel. It definitively shows that they are trying to deliver luxury and opulence to their guests, i always like going there. I must say the rooms are starting to get a bit worn down, but nothing a coat of paint wont fix. Location is Wangfujing adjacent, it's the furthest luxury hotel on the row of luxury hotels (located across from the Regent Hotel), perhaps a 10 minute walk to big brand shopping centers. I will go there again.

Hotel was clean, the staff were helpful, most front desk personnel spoke well enough English to understand us. No breakfast included with our package but available for a reasonable 68yuan. Mix of Chinese and western food. Nothing spectacular but it was good enough. No wireless internet in the rooms but had free internet tv with wireless mouse and keyboard. Didn't have time to figure out how to use it so can't comment on the performance. Walking distance away from Forbidden city, etc.. but chose not to walk it because we had a 5yr old and 1 yr old with us. Just a couple hundred meters away from 'official' street food strip and a block away from mall-filled Wangfujing st. Across the road are a few convenience stores (one of which sold fresh fruit), a Subway sandwich place, and a couple of decent looking sidewalk restaurants which sold a variety of local dishes including a respectable Peking duck. They also had ready-to-eat food for those in a hurry. All-in-all, would stay here again.
