Best location”

There are so many hotels in Siem Reap to choose from but for the price I think this hotel offers real value for money. It's the location which is the real appeal as you are about 5 mins walk away from Pub Street but still far enough away so that you don't get disturbed by outside noise. The hotel is part of one big block where at the front (near the main road) is the older Somadevi resort and at the back you have the two hotels Somadevi Residence and the Somadevi Angkor Boutique & Resort. Hence, as this hotel is at the back away from the main road (shopping street) it is a bit quieter. However, the hotel is in Siem Reap central so don't expect big grounds as it's part of a main block and so surrounded by shops. If you want something big and secluded there are plenty of these types of hotels on the highway (airport to Siem Reap) but then to get around you will constantly need a Tuk Tuk. I would recommend sacrificing on the star rating for location unless you plan to spend a lot of tme at the hotel. This hotel was perfect for our needs as we prefer to walk around. Service The staff are extremely friendly and polite. You are greeted with a smile and nice touches such as opening doors and generally asking you how your stay is, anything you need, etc. It's a very clean hotel and no complaints with the room service/cleaners. The shuttle service to and from the airport is a proper car and not a Tuk Tuk. Room Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Free WiFi in the room. Quite a big room with plenty of space. The shower had very little pressure but it doesn't matter because you can switch to the rain shower which is much better and then pressure is not an issue. Bathroom is very big, modern and clean. There was a private balcony but we didn't use this. It's a city hotel so don't expect great views. Food Only had breakfact once which was very good but other than that can't really comment. Faultless”

I just spent 12 days travelling around Cambodia from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville and then Siem Reap. The Somadevi hotel provided top class accommodation that was absolutely faultless. Food at the restaurants and at breakfast were excellent and were complimented by genuine friendliness from staff. Everyone involved with the hotel from gardeners to drivers to cleaning staff, reception etc were all friendly helpful and always smiling. There isn't too many hotels that I would recommend so enthusiastically but the Somadevi is certainly one that falls into that category.

Excellent hospitality”

The staff at this hotel especially the concierge Kim Ien and the driver have been sincere, kind and compassionate right from the moment i landed in Siem Reap. I discovered that i lost all my USD's the moment i exited the airport and the driver waited patiently for me to sort out my things and even brought me to the currency exchange in town for a better rate, all this without extra charge. They were always cheerful and greeted me every morning and totally sympathetic with my plight. I would definitely come back again because of the staff. Hotel facilities are great and the rooms are clean. The tuk-tuk driver associated with the hotel, Mr Sopheak, was also excellent and took care of us well during our excursions to Angkor

Staffs were very helpful and friendly especially the girl at reception, she helped us planned our trips,and provided everything we needed. We had return flight late at night after travelled all day long and she offered us to take shower before we took off to the airport..what a great service!!! I really really appreciate it. Breakfast was very good and vegetarian friendly. Coffee shop& restaurant are good with reasonable price(special discount for guest). Room was spacious and clean, comfy bed. We also like fruit basket in room. Good location, 10mins walk to Pub street. Highly recommend this hotel ... they provided great service. It’s worth your money. I have plan to Siem Reap soon so I definitely stay here again.

The best hotel!”

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days.From check in to check out, everything was all smooth. We were welcomed by their staff Eng Rotha who was very courteous and accomodating. He also recommended some places to go and see as we dont have an exact itinerary. Me and my friend was very thankful for that. Was amazed by their hospitality and very friendly attitude. The hotel looks new. Facilities were all good. Has a pool, a sauna and gym that was free to use. Also went to their spa in the evening after a tiring day and it was all good! Breakfast was great too! Definitely will go back in this hotel if i visit siem reap again. Also appreciate the late check out as our flight would still be in the late afternoon. Overall stay in cambodia was amazing and relaxing also because of this hotel.

Marvellous!”

Excellent service begins when the hotel operates a car to pick me up at the airport. The driver was very punctual, helped me to carry our luggage to the car and greeted us with a cold towel. After that, a reception welcomes me with a traditional tea which is quite pleasant to refresh me and give me all information’s inside a city map. Trust me! Stay here and you will never be disappointed. It’s not a swash buckling one but an extremely clean, neat and tidy one and has an excellent location in the city. The breakfast is perfect. Not too much but what they have is very well balanced. All their staffs are extremely cheerful, soft spoken, always smiling & ready to help. Moreover, I have a lunch at the restaurant. However, the quality is not too prominent compared to other restaurants. Especially T bone steak needs to be improved, should ask customers choose the level of steak ripening after order. Keep up the good work guys. Hope to see you all soon. You guys made our stay in Siem Reap memorable. Thank you!!!

Great hotel, Great Staff, Minor things need fixing”

From beginning to end the staff was ready to make our stay at the hotel and our visit to Siem Reap the best. They were very helping without going overboard and making it uncomfortable. The only thing negative I have is waking up to a room full of crickets. The rooms are great but there is no seal on the bottom of the room doors so with the rooms leading to outside, crickets come under the door at night. Waking up to them hoping around everywhere was not cool. If they fix that one problem I think the hotel would be flawless.

Highly recommended, don’t have to read too many reviews to choose a good hotel in Siem Reap. As good as those 5 star hotels that charge up to $300. Staff are friendly and try very hard. Ms Pisey at reception is helpful and attentive at arrival. Overall the hotel is pleasant to stay good design with pool and spa. Airport pick up and drop is efficient . Fantastic.

nice swimming pool”

The staffs were kind and warmhearted. The room was large and clean. I like the swimming pool a lot. I'd say we had a very good time in Siem Reap and also in Somadevi except the noise (laughing and speaking very loudly) that we heard almost incessantly from the room next to us in the midnight. I called the front desk to figure it out but he said that noise might from the street until I let his colleague standing on my balcony and hearing the noise very clearly from the next room. I felt a bit upset. Besides that, the breakfast was kind of boring, there weren't many choose and the food was almost the same in three days.

Fully satisfied”

Accidentally reserved this hotel but no regrets at all. This hotel has everything that i am looking for 1.Descent room condition 2.Distanced from market so can quietly sleep but still walkable(less than 10min) 3.Good food 4.Kind manner 5.Unexpectedly tasteful illy coffee shop in the first floor. Siem reap deserves full amount of love itself and this hotel makes the city lovable even more than that. Definitely want to visit again.

Clean and new facilities compared to other hotels in the area, very accommodating and friendly staffs, clean and big rooms, adequate choices for breakfast, nice pool and sauna. I have nothing to complain about this hotel. I will stay here again if I go back to Siem Reap and would recommend this to other friends.

We stayed for five evenings. After exhausting and physically demanding Angkor Wat sightseeing everyday, it was refreshing to return to the spacious room, the pool, the spa and steam room Somadevi Angkor Boutique & Resort offers.

Facilities need to be improved”

The network is unstable but not sure the bad quality of wifi was due to telecommunications in Siem reap or due to hotel itself. Cuz even 4G is unstable as well. Most of facilities is good except the hot water supply is really unstable. Not hot enough at some time throughout the day. breakfast is great and cleanliness is great too.

Above and beyond expectations! ”

We booked this hotel based off ratings on Agoda for a last-minute 26-hour trip to Cambodia. I tend to be picky about hotel cleanliness, and have to say that Hotel Somadevi did not disappoint. The whole property was spotless, and management was kind and went above and beyond to make our stay great. They even called and translated with our tour guide when my husband mistakenly forgot his phone in the tour van. We would definitely come back again, and would recommend this to anyone staying outside Angkor Wat!

This hotel is good for its service, room cleanliness, and facilities. Breakfast has many things to choose from, taste good. Room is nicely cleaned, spacious, with big bath tub! :) Recommend for business, couples, solo travels if you come visit Siem Reap.

Brilliant boutique hotel”

It’s about a 10min walk to Pub street which is where the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap is, at night. The staff were great, facilities awesome, it was clean and value of money in our opinion. Definitely recommend!

Great Stay”

We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Somadevi. The staff have been helpful friendly and super attentive. Cocoktails are great and food as well. Breakfast isnt much to shout about but fills your tummy. Most boutique hotels arent kids friendly but this one i, aside from the fact its by a busy road. Its pretty safe for kids. We'll definately stay again and would highly recommend this Hotel.

Stand out customer service and a modern/clean hotel in a nice location”

My girlfriend and I stayed at Somadevi for 5 days / 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The customer service by the staff was so really great -- on par with much more expensive hotels! They all knew our names, took great care of us, and helped with all our requests. I hurt my ankle and they went out of their way to provide ice, offer to get a doctor, help us with our bags on check out, etc. So nice of them! The hotel is modern/clean, in a great neighborhood and is great value. I definitely recommend Somadevi!
