Nice Hotel”

The Hotel Selection Pattaya is conveniently located on the beachfront on beach road in pattaya. If you would like to do some shopping or go to the beach this is one of the many hotels situated on beach road. It is also very close to all the great nightlife that pattaya has to offer. When you come out of the hotel you can jump on the many baht buses that drive past and head to pattaya south and the famous walking street bars. The hotel selection pattaya has many rooms to offer and they are a very good size and are cleaned daily. I found the staff to be very friendly and cooperative and will cater to your every need and they can speak English quite well. I did find however that the hotel is a little bit older than some hotels in the area but they are in the process of refurbishing the rooms which was no inconvenience to me. The food on the other hand was a lot to be desired it always seemed to be cold and there was not a great selection of foods. Other than that I enjoyed my stay and have stayed here a few times now and would stay there again.

great location by the beach”

The hotel selection pattaya was a great place to stay during our trip to pattaya, bangkok. The hotel itself seemed fairly new as the room we stayed in stil were missing a few things such as the safety box. The hotel staff for the most part was friendly and efficient and we were able to check in a little early without having to pay extra for early check in. That was great as we were tired and wanted to unpack and rest before heading out for the night of dining and entertainment. I would definitly consider this hotel again for future visits. Taxi is really not needed if you don't mind doing a little walk to the nearest mall and the beach is just steps away from this hotel. All in all, a great place to stay for a very good room rate.

Rooms with Excellent View”

New Condo type Hotel on Pattaya Beach Road. Excellent view if you get a sea side view room. Horrible view if you face away from the beach or a room in the back of the hotel. Excellent location with everything near by. Hotel looks like is was hurriedly built as one can see the various design flaws and some contructions is still on-going. The rooms are very accomodating but the shower design is awful. No doors on the walk in shower and the water sometimes flowed into the rest of the bathroom. Still a great deal and nice hotel. Excellent breakfast, nice small pool and fitness center.

Best place to stay in Pattaya”

Hotel Selection located in Soi 5 , Pattaya beach road 2-3 minutes to the pattaya beach. Quite place and the street in front of hotel was not busy. In front of Hotel got a terrace of stall selling food , souvenir shirts etc. Beside Soi 6 the famous bar in pattaya. Room , toilet clean and tidy. Value for money. Best place to stay.

Rooms with sensational sea views”

This is a real find in North Pattaya, only a 15-20 minute walk from the Central shopping centre, & is great value for money. Rooms have sensational uninterrupted sea views of most of the beach of Pattaya, the hotel is almost on the beach being behind a block of low rise shops. Rooms are large & clean with big tv. I didn't use the restaurant so can't comment. Pool is at the back with no views, & the gym is small with not a lot of equipment. They could make fine use of the hotel roof with a roof top bar which would have sensational views over Pattaya (try next door at the Seven Zea Chic hotel). Staff were friendly & efficient. I liked this hotel so much I have just booked again.

The hotel is brand new. Location is excellent in Pattaya. The Chinese Manager are very professional. The view of the hotel is excellent, which can have a 180 degree seaview of Pattaya beach. It's not near the crowded area of Pattaya such that I can have a good sleep. But if I want to go there, I just use 10THB can go there. It's very convenient. Overall, it's a very good deal subject to the price and quality of the hotel.

Great location and facilities”

The hotel is at an excellent location whereby it is close to all amenities especially a mall in front of it. You also just need to walk out less than 50 metres to get on to a Bhat bus to get around Pattaya. The staff at the reception could be friendlier but the concierge and housekeeping are very polite and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious although despite my friends and I selecting the same room type, the configuration and outlook of the rooms were different. One of my friend got a bathtub in his bathroom, one of my friend had central water heating and the other an external water heater for the shower. Best check at the reception prior to checking in should you have certain specifications to avoid disappointment and the hassle of needing to change the room later. All in all, will certainly return and stay here in the future.

Good Seaview Choice”

The Pattaya Beach Resort is set back quite away from Beach Road so there is a lot less noise while still affording excellent views of the sea. The newly renovated rooms offer a little style, the bed is very comfortable, and there is a good sized balcony. Wireless internet access is free in both the room and throughout the hotel common areas, and there is cheap and convenient transport right outside on Beach Road. There is a decent sized pool for Pattaya as well as a fairly well appointed gym. Only a few drawbacks. One, it is an older building newly renovated, and there is a bit of a funny smell in the hallways (not in the rooms). Occupancy was very low when I stayed there as they were not fully opened, so this may have had something to do with it. Two, the breakfast was a VERY basic buffet offering. Again this was undoubtedly related to having just opened and being relatively empty. The only real failing was a shower which looks stylish with its fixed glass partition but unfortunately does not keep the water from getting all over the bathroom floor. But overall an excellent choice if you want to be in center of Pattaya with a seaview without too much cost.

Great location, service and value”

Having stayed in (now) 5 different places I found the Hotel Selection the best of both worlds. It was close enough to all the nightlife and/or shopping (eg a 7/11 right outside both front and back of the hotel). But it didn't have the noise etc you get staying in the nightclub areas. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and well serviced. It was across the road from the beach and the same road has a constant stream of Baht taxis to go anywhere you want (the beach side street is one way but behind the hotel the street is the reverse one way). Close to massage, shopping (eg Big C centre) and other attractions. Will definitely stay there again.

Selection comfortable hotel”

The Selection is a comfortable and a nice place to stay. The staff is friendly and efficient with good English. The room was clean medium large in size. The modern bathroom is large and clean. The hotel is near the beach road very quiet and <100m to the beach. The lift , shower, airco, lighting, frig, flat tv, wifi all operated well. There is good cupboard space,tables and chairs. The buffet breakfast and service was very good The hotel is very good value and recommended for all travellers with a large free car park at the door. I will stay again.

It works”

Booked a standard room with a back view [the ugly concrete view] in December 2009. This hotel was fine for one night but definitely a step down from where I was staying [Hotel Vista on Soi 4]. Standard room at Pattaya Beach Resort is small and as others have mentioned, & the bathroom drainage is an accident waiting to happen... the entire bathroom floor can go under if you like long relaxing showers. Aside from those two things however, this hotel is fine... Nice flat screen TV with a decent channel selection, the beds are soft & comfortable, nice furniture, & independent AC control. Will always book Hotel Vista when available but this place is very nice, you won't be disappointed.

Good value for the money”

I had the seaview suite, and indeed it had a nice view of Pattaya Beach across the street from the 8th floor. Staff is helpful and efficient. My suite came with a bathroom, which has a 'window' above it that looks into the bedroom which is a nice touch. Pattaya Beach is right across the street for convenience. For those looking for attractions on the southern end of Pattaya Beach road such as Walking Street, it's a bit of a walk so you'll end up taking a baht bus. No real minuses, would definitely stay again.

Great hotel, but give Mcdonalds a miss - ”

Hotel Selection is great, especially the Seaview room I had (720). The food service was also excellent. Cant fault the hotel or location. Just make sure you give the McDonalds a miss, which is right outside the hotel on Beach Road. Me and my mate both got food poisoning from there one night, which was horrendous. It took us at least 4 days to get over it, never ever going there again. Hotel is great. McDonalds is crap.

So so hotel”

This is very basic budget hotel. Location is walking distance to the beach, massage parlor, restaurants, Starbucks, Mc Donalds, shopping (and red district) The staff is the best thing about this hotel. 5 stars!!! Very helpful. However, for a little more $ there is a hotel next door called Discover Pattaya Beach Hotel, which has the beach view because it is not blocked by another building AND has a way better pool and restaurant. I would rather pay that because the sand on Pattaya Beach is not that great. So you end up in the pool. If you want a nice beach, speedboats are available for island transfer which will cost you between 800-1800 BH depending on your group size. So a good pool is necessary if you want to get a tan and enjoy the water, unless you are willing to pay 800-1800 BH everyday. In general, Pattaya is not worth the trip if you want to see a beautiful beach.

Located in the middle of Pattaya Beach coast line”

My Family had a very good time staying in Selection Pattaya. it is very close to many attractions like Tiffany and Alcatraz Show ( walking distance) . Near all the fast food resto and beach resto as well. Just in front of the coast line. water sport attractions can be found just in front of the hotel.24 hour transportation Bath 10 per person. very nice loacation for clubbing. Lots of Money Changer. Walking distance to a Big Mall.

Great Location with big rooms and good service”

this hotel is located on pattaya beach road, facing the beach. the location is very convenient for food, for relaxation on the beach and for night life. the gym and swimming pool are clean and lovely. the pool is very beautiful with a unified height of around 120-130cm. good service with very friendly staff! i will return to this hotel next time!

Great location ”

well the only Excellent thing about the hotel is its location its set exactly at the beach road cause if ur going to pattaya the main attraction there, is the beach road. the rooms are clean and nice as long as u take the sea view side, as for the hotel Staff they are ok, nice people Well as for the breakfast their wide selection but its not that good or that clean but its ok
