2nd stay and still a wonderful hotel!”

Again a fantastic experience! We first stayed here in 11/2015 and now again in 5/2017; and both experiences were 1st rate! Predominately, a business hotel, it is in a quiet area not to far from the main Tokyo train station (which is an easy taxi ride or a nice 15-20 min. walk), and subways and buses are just steps away. The room sizes are large by Japanese standards, and very comfortable. I especially like the desks which are large and sturdy enough to hold my 40lb luggage, making it easy to pack and repack. It has a Royal Host restaurant downstairs, which is convenient, but there are also tons of places to eat nearby. The Japanese convenience stores are numerous in this area and are the perfect stop for all your needs, some of my favorite meals in Japan are the sandwiches and bento boxes which are so fresh they are restocked twice a day, and if you want your bento heated up they'll do that too. If you are into shopping, a short distance away is the Ginza with everything you could ever dream of. When we travel to Tokyo we will always stay Hotel Sardonyx Tokyo!

They value their guests!”

We stayed in Hotel Sardonyx Tokyo from Nov 23-26, in a triple sharing room. We will usually leave the hotel at 8am and arrive back at almost midnight. Whenever we arrive, the room was tidied up and all useables were replenished. Before we leave, we realized that my daughter’s stuffed toy was lost. It may have went with the linens when they were replaced. I reported it to the front desk, and Ms Meng was very amicable to us. Since we’re in a hurry, Ms Meng advised us that they will inform us in case the toy was found. I wasn’t really expecting any feedback after that. We’re already conditioning our child that the toy is lost. Until the next day, Ms Meng informed us that they have found it! Hotel Sardonyx will be sending the toy from Tokyo to Manila. My daughter was so glad. And I felt overwhelmed by the effort they made. Thanks to Hotel Sardonyx, especially Ms Meng, for the effort :) We really appreciate it!

Good Location with complete facilities ”

Hotel Sardonyx located near Hatchobori station which services 2 main lines (Hibiya Line and Keiyo Line). It is only 5 direct stations from Maihama (Disney station) via Keiyo Line, easy for us to transfer after our last shopping and fireworks @ Disney. Exit from Keiyo Line took about 10 minutes walk to hotel whereas exit from Hibiya Line is about 5 mins walk. Hotel room is clean, and big enough to accommodate family of 4 for Japan standard. We were given a room with Tokyo city view. Have to collect common amenities from the lobby. A nice surprise is free bath salt from the hotel, we used the bath tub with the bath salt every night. Really helps in a cold winter night. There are many many Lawson and eateries near the hotel, breakfast from Royal Host (directly downstairs) was very nice. There is a super market around 5 mins walk from the hotel where u can get fresh fruits, bentos etc at affordable price. We bought 2 huge japanese apples at SGD5, really a steal. Hotel Staff were courteous as always but need to find someone with good command of english. They helped to book our ski tour and luggage transfer services. Generally we like Hotel Sardonyx and will come back again.

A great hotel in Hatchobori”

Staff, room comfort, location

We booked 3 rooms at Hotel Sardonyx Tokyo. Few weeks before staying there, I mailed them about keeping our luggages in their storage, and they replied our mail less than half an hour later, it was really fast response. Before heading to Hakone, we asked one of their staffs about the fastest way to go to Shinjuku station to catch our romancecar, he helped us to find the fastest way, it was really helpful. Their staffs were amazing, thank you for a great service. The room itself was very clean and big. The sofa was comfortable, 6 persons can comfortably sit on it, they even put a coffee-table. The location is just one minute to metro station and 3 minutes to JR station. I tried to walk to Tokyo station and it took almost 40 minutes, not recommended to walk to Tokyo station, better go to Tokyo station by taxi (around 790 yen) or by train (133 yen with suica/pasmo).

Amazing hotel and staff!”

My parents and I stayed at this hotel for our last segment of our Japan trip and we had a wonderful experience overall. Staff was very welcoming and helpful from start to end. The hotel exceeded all of our expectations. It's hard to find spacious hotels in Tokyo, and this one was modestly big for the 3 of us. Room was clean and supplied with numerous vanity kits, not to mention all the other beauty goodies located at the lobby. My parents kept raving about this place and how awesome the hotel is. Location is great too as it's close by numerous train stations. There's nothing I can think of that's bad or needs improvement. Overall, a wonderful hotel and amazing staff! Thank you Hotel Sardonyx Tokyo for such a pleasant stay! We will definitely stay here again if we ever stop by Tokyo!

Perfect Place To Stay With Only One Minor Issue”

My whole family loved staying at Sardonyx Tokyo. I will start off with the minor issue, which is distance from transportation options to/from the airport. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from Tokyo Station (airport limo, keisei bus, express, etc.). However, you only do this long walk (with luggage) twice because during your stay, you have access to three train stations within a four minute walk from the hotel. As for the hotel itself, it is small (10 floors) and modern. The staff are nice and they can converse in English. The room is standard size for Japan rooms and very clean. For food options, there is a Denny's, Royal Host, and Jonathan's restaurant all within one minute from the hotel. If you want more of the Japan experience, there is a Yoshinoya and a udon restaurant across the street. There is a convenience store downstairs and supermarket within a couple minutes. We would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind the initial arrival and departure walk.

Superb! ”

The hotel is 10-15 minutes walk to tokyo station quite far but there are train stations near this hotel too going to tokyo station and disneyland just a minute walk to hatchobori and JR station. You can take a taxi going to/from tokyo station at 1000jpy if you got big several luggages. The hotel and staff itself are superb. The room is very clean, spacious and wonderful. We enjoyed our 7 night stay and all necessities were provided. The staff are very accomodating just keep it up Arigato! The hotel is impeccable I should say. We chose this hotel because compared to other hotels, with the same rate, Sardonyx is one of a kind and based on the reviews, they are all true- well maintained, seems brand new, complete with amenities, highly recommended.

A Decent Room Size without An Expensive Price Tag”

Those who have been to Tokyo would know that Tokyo's hotel room are very small and one would have to pay an exorbitant price to stay in a decent size room. Hotel Sardonyx Tokyo, on the other hand, provides a decent size room with a not so expensive price. It is slightly out of the main attractions but tokyo's train system is quite good and it does not take much time to get from one place to another. In addition, it is near Disneyland and Disneysea. I would definitely pick this place again if I am going Tokyo to stay.

This may have been the swankiest place I've ever stayed for such an affordable price”

First off, the hotel's aesthetics are top notch. From the street, you see a multi-story building with "HOTEL SARDONYX TOKYO" written along the side. The lobby has a cool curved automatic door leading to a stylish lobby. Everything from the elevator to the restroom had a very clean and classy presentation. My only frustration was with their no refunds policy. It was an error on my part, but it still stung realizing I lost money without a way to fix it, especially when it was a few months in advance. Other than that, I have no complaints at all about the actual hotel or room. The view was great from the 8th floor and all the facilities were fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to feel classy on their trip to Tokyo.

great value, location and room size”

Hotel Sardonyx is a great hotel in Tokyo. It is reasonably priced, the location is very central (15 minute walk from Tokyo station) and the rooms are comfortably large. They are not large by US standards, but they aren't small either - a double bed and a large desk left enough room to comfortably sit and talk. The rooms have full western style bathrooms. The showers had good water pressure. The staff was very attentive and helpful (as expected in Tokyo), and the buffet breakfast was quite good - eggs, bacon, fried rice, assorted japanese vegetables, breads, juice etc ... I will definitely stay here again when I next visit Tokyo.

Good option for Tokyo”

We had outstanding service at the Sardonyx. The staff was really nice and helpful — they helped accommodate our children in a bedroom with twin beds (we had booked a double bed for them by mistake) and helped us book restaurants. Breakfast was good value for money. The room was very spacious by Tokyo standards. The drawback was that the hotel was a bit far to walk to and from the main shopping street in Ginza (about 25-30 min).

Great location and staff”

We had a great, two-night stay at the Sardonyx. We were put in a smoking room at first (which was probably my mistake when I booked) but they quickly moved us to a non-smoking one. Staff was really friendly and helpful throughout. The rooms are equipped with lots of small touches that we really appreciated, like large bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the shower, fabric freshener, and English instructions on the use of the air conditioner. A nice breakfast (not fancy), clean rooms, comfortable beds, good local information. The location is great, just a fifteen minute walk from Tokyo station and right next to Metro and JR stations that lead to all the tourist hot spots. Particularly good for Disney as the resort is just two stops away. I would highly recommend this hotel in Tokyo and we plan to return.

a satisfying stay”

location, room size, cleanliness

Location wise: 5 min walk from hatchobori JR station on exit B2. If you have big luggage take lift from exit B1. There is a big map right in front of the hatchobori exit with Sardonyx in it. Although it is quite a long walk (12 min) from NEX platform to the keiyo line platform in Tokyo station. Room : big rooms, small double bed could fit 1 adult and 1 big child. Nice morning view to the canal from room 709. The bed for me is not firm enough, however I still can sleep well. Service: the Receptionist helped keeping our luggages when we went out of town for 3 days. They also have luggage delivery service. Overall it was a satisfying stay. Would love to stay in here again if I went to Tokyo.

Excellent hotel in Tokyo.”

We are a couple who visit Tokyo often for business and family reasons. The last 3 times in 2018 and 2019 we have stayed at the Sardonyx. It is very good value for money, with outstanding staff in all the hotel, excellent location right near Hatchebori station and a walk to Tokyo Station. On facilities - it is very good, with with things like washing and drying, and beverage-making. Its only downside is a small, but adequate, foyer area. Brian Jeffriess

Excellent hotel, appreciate the oranges/ amenities/ water dispenser at the lobby. One station from Hatchobori metro station, which in turn is one stop away fro the hustling Tokyo station. The walk from Tokyo station to the Keio line is quite a distance though Initially we wanted to take the taxi + limousine bus to Haneda from hotel (JPY 800 taxi, JPY 840 bus) but found out that Hibiya line goes to Haneda directly with 1 transfer from Hatchobori at Higashi Ginza station Overall a pleasant stay. Twin room big enough for 2 adults + 2 children. Pyjamas provided. Spacious room. Family mart across the road, Yoshinoya as well

A great hotel in a not so busy area!”

We spent 5 nights in a triple room. Hotel rooms in Tokyo are notoriously compact so this shouldn't be a surprise for those staying here. It's a few minutes walking distance from the subway station and around 10 minutes from the JR station. If you feel adventurous, it's around a 20 minute walk to Tokyo station, Ginza or Tsukiji fish market. The room was tidy and clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom . Staff were polite and although English was limited

Great stay and experience (location, facility, service, space, & meals)”

I stayed for 7 nights for Tokyo and surrounding area (Fuji, Yuzawa, Yokohama) with family of 2 children. It was a great stay and experiences. Good: 1. Spacious room for Tokyo (twin room with comfy and big bed that fit of 5 luggage) 2. Facilities (easy to use coin laundry, microwave, & vending machine at 4th floor) 3. Good tasting breakfast. Yes there's not much varities but it's sufficient for morning meals and good tasting as well. 4. Surrounding - I lost count on how many convenience stores around. Two are practically next door. Some restaurants are also in area (Yoshinoya just across the street). 5. Access. Hatchobori station is a gem and located across the street. With my tokyo wide pass and metro pass, it's just so convience to travel anywhere in Tokyo. Disneyland access is so easy. 6. Comfy bed, complimentary pyjamas, and good hot shower in the room are what you need to recharge yourself after tiring walking day. 7. Halal food. There are few around the Hotel. Bad: None Recommended

spacious for a tokyo hotel!”

the reason we pick this hotel was because it is rather spacious compared to other tokyo hotels, so our toddler and luggages can fit nicely. they gave us a corner room so we got that extra few m2 which was a bonus! the location is pretty good, 15-mins walk from tokyo station but located in a rather quiet commercial area (so it was pretty much dead at night unlike shibuya/shinjuku/kabukicho where we previously stayed), so if you want that glimmering tokyo night life, this hotel will not be suitable for you. also make sure that you take the yaesu south exit when you alight at tokyo station and just walk straight from there. we weren't informed and didn't do much research and we took the marunouchi exit and had to make a long detour around tokyo station with our 2 luggages, carry ons, stroller and toddler after one tiring red-eye flight! (what a bummer!) or else, you can also take a taxi from tokyo station (which would cost you about 7000-10000yen). overall, we would come back to this hotel if we come back to tokyo!

awesome stay”

Really enjoyed our stay in Tokyo at Hotel Sardonyx. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful, always ready to assist. Rooms were a tad too dark even with the lights all switched on but overall still a very enjoyable time in Tokyo with a handful of quality restaurants all within 10mins walking vicinity
