Extremely convenient location ”
Breakfast was delicious. Close to everything - the Aomori bus and train station, convenience stores, tourist attractions, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Onsen was decent. Hotel room is dated and could use a renovation to compare with the more modern rooms of APA Hotel or Toyoko Inn.

Great location, value for money ”
I always enjoy staing at Hotel Route Inns in Japan. There are not all in the same state of maintenance, but ususally you are guaranteed three things: a good standard Japanese hotel room, a communal spa to enjoy the tradional hot o'furo and a good buffet breakfast. The Aomori Hotel Route Inn didn't disappoint. In addition, the location was excellent as the fish market, festival museum, tourism information office and main railway and bus station where just a few metres away. The staff was efficient and friendly. I would recommend this hotel as it represents excellent value for money in a great location.

Nice budget hotel typical of this style”
This is a low rise budget hotel typical of this genre of business hotels. The room was super small by western standards but clean and tidy. They had an LCD tv and refrigerator but no closet. Hotel staff is friendly and understands simple English. There is a public bath which is nice for a hot soak after a long day of touring. No sauna. Our reservation included breakfast which a mini buffet with Japanese and western style selections. The food was tasty and selections are changed daily. Location is great. The hotel is located directly across the street from the front of the Aomori station east entrance. There are reasonably priced restaurants nearby and a convenience store around the corner. Downtown is about 5 minutes walk. If you like a soft bed, forget this place. It seems that the Route Inn brand uses really hard beds. It was almost like sleeping on a tatami mat floor with a blanket for a matress pad. We slept well as we have also stayed in ryokans so it was no big deal for us.

Nice hotel in good location”
If you want to explore Aomori prefecture, this is the hotel I recommend to you. It's just in front of the Aomori station. From this hotel, you can easily explore around Aomori by train and/or bus. The breakfast is nice and delicious too. There are many restaurants nearby the hotel, and it's walking distance to Nubuta Museum, A-factory, and bay bridge. We went to Hirosaki castle and Ashino park in the spring (end of April) to see sakura blossoms. If you take shinkansen hayabusa from Tokyo to Aomori, you'll arrive at shin-aomori station, and you have to transfer to JR Ou (local train), only 6 minutes to arrive at Aomori station.

Hotel is located right in front of the Aomori station. You can see the hotel from the station itself. Fast check-in and check-out process. The room is clean. The area surrounding the hotel is very quite at night, even on New Year's eve. Breakfast is given free although it is not included in the room price. Good variety of food.

Unexpectedly good”
It was the 1st time I travelled to Aomori and I had a wonderful experience. The price here in Agoda was very low and I did not have high expectation to this hotel, since I know many hotels in Japan are all small. Yet, although the room is small as expected, the breakfast was nice and the service is good. There is a free rental service for router, and communication through the internet is not a problem. Also, it has a public bathroom, a relaxing experience for those like public bath.

Stayed at this hotel before. Returned because it is reasonably priced and the location is excellent - across a small road from JR Aomori. Breakfast was great with a variety of Japanese and western dishes.

Not Cheap but Good”
The hotel is very well located in the centre of Aomori next to the railway station though the name is not written in English:(. The Internet was the fastest I have ever experienced on my travels - 50 Mbps. Breakfast was excellent too. The hotel was not cheap though.

Right in front of the Aomori JR station. ”
Location was why I booked this place. The hotel is located right opposite the Aomori JR Station. Cut out the inconvenience of taxi-ing between the hotel and JR station. Easy access to other parts of Aomori - like Hirosaki or even Akita prefecture. Also within walking distance to the famous Aomori Gyosai Senta (Aomori Fish and Vegetable Centre) - where the famous Nokkedon (seafood bowl) is a must-try.

A tired but inexpensive hotel in a convenient location”
I booked Hotel Route Inn Aomori Ekimae because I had an early morning departure and it was near the station. I wished I'd chosen a different hotel even if it was further away. I like a firm bed, but this one was too hard even for me - like sleeping flat on a tatami mat. Also, the bathroom smelled bad. I think the room was clean, although the walls were scuffed. On the plus side, the room was inexpensive (although I've been staying in nicer places for the same price) and the staff were really nice...and it was conveniently located across the street from the station.

One night stay for Oirase stream travel”
Hotel is quite close to the JR station when you walk pass the bus stop areas. Room is clean with free wifi available. The shopping & dining street is nearby in walking distance. I can see the Aomori bay bridge from my room at night. I can left my baggage at hotel when I go out for Oirase stream with the 1st bus and come back at evening. Breakfast is good with some variety for you to choose.

Location is perfect! Right opposite train station and very close to A Factory and famous Hotate Goya restaurant. Room is small and no option for non smoking. Price is not cheap comparing to other hotels in Aomori but cant beat the location.

good location right across Aomori station”
the hotel was very easy to find; just a 3-minute walk right across the street from aomori station (even with heavy suitcases) the breakfast was so so self-service western and japanese style. there were hot soup, rice, grilled fish, ham sausage,salad milk and water. the room overall was quite spacious. we wanted to try the public bath but unfortunately didn't have the chance.

This hotel is located directly in front of the JR Aomori station.. the city is not big, so everywhere is within walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast provided is consistent and good, bath facilities clean. Recommended.
