A great hostel at a great pricee”
We originally were booked for one night, but extended our stay. So happy we found this fantastic hostel. It's really modern with new facilities, perfectly clean, breakfast and food provided, good kitchen facilties and a lounge with Netflix! The staff are super friendly and helpful. We were stuck during the coronavirus outbreak and they allowed us to stay on longer, saving us from being homeless when everything was shutting down. Can't thank them enough. The hostel is separated across three areas of the shopping centre, so not all rooms have views of the sea, but they're all good rooms regardless.

Stayed 5 night including with agoda booking,the owner was super super friendly and recommended me a ton of local food to looks out for and that's help alot, really appreciates it. Beside the room and hostel was very clean and tidy and way worth the price u pay for, breakfast is provided and they even have hot/warm water freeflow. Their living hall had seaview and it's perfect to just laze around and their tv had Netflix too. Thoughtout my stay in KK I would have to say homy can be consider as the best hostel or must stay, of coz there are cheaper option, but considering their service and hostel facilities u won't regret choosing them as your staycation

The best guest house ever!!!”
Homy Seafront Hostel is the best guest house I’ve ever stayed!!! The owners, named Matt and Cindy, were so friendly and helpful. All the facilities were really clean. I also liked the atmosphere of all the guests. I was nervous because I arrived there alone, but everyone in the guest house talked to me and invited me to go out together. They became my good friends. I really appreciate everything that the staffs did for me. Thank you very much. I’m sure I’ll stay there when I visit Kota Kinabalu next time.

Lives up to its name of being Homy Seafront!”
This is the one of the best hostel I’ve been to. I was truly happy the moment I walked in. I knew it will be a comfortable stay. I really enjoy the sea view from the lounge and I got to enjoy the sunset while reading a good book. The sitting area at the lounge is really comfortable. I love the layout of the dormitory. The place is very clean and it offers good breakfast ! The staff at the hostel are always cheerful and helpful! Great hostel! I’ll love to come back!

The best hostel in KK”
Matt and Cindy are the best! They made me feel like I was at home and part of the family. Suppose to stay 4 nights. Ended up staying 9. Matt took me and the other guests out to eat at local places. Places that you will not find on your own. Also took us around to go sight seeing. Only hostel that will go out of their way. Trust me. I’ve been traveling for 6 months and stayed at a lot of hostels. Great location. Really clean. Super nice, friendly and helpful. Thanks for everything!!!

Best hostel I stayed at! ”
I booked for four days. Ended up staying for six weeks. Hostel definitely feels like home. Matt and Cindy are the best!!! Sooo helpful and nice. They definitely go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. Awesome sea views. Great sunsets. All the guest are friendly. Easy to make friends and explore KK. Netflix and PlayStation. Perfect location. Close to everything. Really clean. Beds are comfy. The only place I will stay when I’m in KK.

Exceptional Service and Value for Money”
I arrived early morning because of my flight schedule. Check-in was a breeze and showed me immediately my room, shower area and the kitchen with free coffee, biscuits and free breakfast. The whole place is really squeaky clean. The hostel is also near ATM, 7-11, Orange, CKS Grocer (mini supermarket), 24/7 restaurant/eatery who serves malaysian food. It is walking distance also to Filipino market( you can buy souvenirs here). Over-all my stay is pleasant and I want to stay here again if I will be back in Kota Kinabalu.

Favorite hostel ”
I’ve traveled to many countries and stayed in a lot of hostels and this was definitely my favorite stay. I stayed here near the end of my travels so was a bit burnt out but this was a great place just to chill and hang out. The staff was really helpful in arranging activities and making suggestions. One of the staff members (the Filipino guy) even made sure to put aside 2 beds for my friend and I during the weekend when they got fully booked and we had been too slow to book for ourselves online. I really appreciate how helpful they were. I’d recommend to stay in either the female dorm or smaller rooms because the lockers are outside so you won’t be woken up by all the shuffling. They provide free earplugs and have curtains though so you can maintain your privacy and get rest, but of course this always depends on other guests and if they are considerate about sound.

Best Hostel ever ”
This is by far the best hostel/accommodation I’ve stayed in throughout my South East Asia trip. The owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They are so committed to making your stay with them the nicest possible. I had initially only planned to spend 2 nights traveling with a friend. We ended up staying almost two weeks! The hostel is very modern, clean and the common area is extremely cozy. You really feel at home here. Thank you Matt and Cindy for everything!

Homy Seafront hostel is amazing! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, guiding us to good food and helped prepar breakfast for us. The location is great, near to mega malls, many seafood restaurants within walking distance and home to an amazing sea view. The place is cozy, clean and well-kept. All necessary amentities and facilities were also available to provide a comfortable night :) will definitely recommend, Super value for money!

Thanks to the hosts Matt and Cindy, I was able to have great memories in KK. First of all, Matt and Cindy showd great hospitality and that made me so comfortable staying there. Secondly, the place is new so it is very clean and cozy. I felt like I was at home. Thirdly, the location is so good that I could visit almost every spots on foot. I will definitely visit again if I have a chance to visit KK again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights. The Homy seafront Hostel is in the best location, close to the Filipino market and all the central area of the city. The staff is always available, and kind, for any problem or indication, just ask them, they are fantastic !! The whole hostel is extremely clean, the bathrooms are spacious and the common areas very comfortable. What can I say? I highly recommend this hostel!!

Truly a hidden gem!”
This hostel is a hidden gem in most literal terms. The way up through the staircase is somewhat obscure (due to construction work), but defying those odds will be rewarded with a truly lovely stay! The rooms are modern and bright, bathrooms are clean and the staff is most helpful. Location is superb and common areas are tidy and comfortable. I've seen many hostels, but this one is definitely top-notch!

After staying two days at Homy hostel, I stayed at the hotel for two days. I stayed at Homy hostel for one more day. I was worried about what to do because of the flight at 6 o'clock in the morning. But you listened well and solved it. Besides that, I went to see the sunset with other guests. He drove us directly to take us. When the guests were worried about the dinner menu, they moved together and had dinner. The kindness of facilities and staffs was very good. Even the breakfast was very good. I went to guesthouses and hostels in many countries, but this was the best hostel.

At first this place is so clean and amazing sea view. The bed is comfy. And the owner both of them r super nice helpful and kind. They give me some tips about nice local restaurant and nice places to visit and it was all good. The breakfast was good as well. Anyway. Big recommend this place.

Your best choice to stay in KK!”
The hostel locates in Central Business District, super convenient to go around kk. People I met here are more impressive than the beautiful scenery. Cindy and Matthew are soooooo nice😭I couldn't describe how nice they are. Since we checked-in the first morning, they helped us a lot. They'll recommand authentic and very reasonably priced food, even take you to the destination. Cindy&Matthew help every tourist to get what they want as much as possible! It's the best guest experience I've had, thanks to the hostel and ppl I met here. Thanks!!

Fantastic ”
It's a little hard to find the hostel at first since I arrive past midnight, but they have a midnight reception there to help us. Checked us in easily, gave us a brief about the hostel rules. Rooms were small and clean, cosy and bright. Breakfast is amazing too. Toilets are clean and equipped with shampoo. Totally amazed with the services with the money paid. Would definitely come here again if I ever visit kk.

Clean and cosy hostel, with very friendly owner”
Stay here was amazing. We had a very good rest in this clean and cosy hostel, before our hike up Mt Kinabalu the next day. Came back here to rest after the hike and had a very good rest as well. Owner as well as his staff was extremely friendly. Extremely value for money, with various food and massage options around too!
