Best Hotel in Semarang”

I have had the pleasure of frequently staying at this hotel for many times over the past one year. The second time I stayed at the hotel, one of the staffs remembered my previous stay and happily welcomed me. Since then this hotel has been my first choice of stay in Semarang. I have stayed at higher-stars hotels in Semarang, but none has come close to the level of service demonstrated by the Holiday Inn staffs. They always greet guest with a wide smile and so hospitable. Despite slightly narrower interior, the rooms are tidy with high-level of cleanliness (shower room, towels, etc.). The rooms although not totally noise-proof, are properly designed against noise from the rooms next door and most of the traffic noise are filtered from the glass window. Sleeping hardly a problem for me even the hotel is located at the busy heart of Semarang - Simpang Lima. This hotel provides means for the guests to do their own laundry. Guests can purchase coins for operating the washing and drying machines along with liquid detergent. Although the parking area is limited, the outdoor staffs are so accomodating and helpful whenever help is needed for outdoor or basement parking. Breakfast meals served at the lobby is not 5-star level. However, nasi goreng and three other kinds of warm foods always there. Not to mention fresh bread, juice and coffee. Internet may be the weakest link in this review. I do not have quantitative results to share. Guests expecting to view youtube frequently may be disappointed. But browsing and checking emails are fine. I hope this review could serve as a great praise for the Holiday Inn staffers for their dedication and hard work. I also hope that this hotel can be an example for service industry in Semarang. I had a pleasant stay in Holiday Inn Semarang. The staffs were friendly and attentive. The location is near the Semarang Simpang Lima. The room is spacious! The bed and pillow - so fluffy and clean. Worth every single penny. Never had a chance to utilize other amenities due to pack schedule. Will definitely book here again if I plan a trip to Semarang.

Clean, comfortable, perfect location”

This hotel is located near simpang lima, the iconic landmark of Semarang. There are also many shopping malls, street food, not to mention Bowery restaurant which has excellent western food with affordable price (located just across the hotel). The room is comfortable, clean, but not too spacious. We can hear the TV sound from next room early in the morning. We booked for a non smoking room, but just when I opened the room's door, the smell of the smoke was very strong. Then i called the receptionist and he offer me to spray the room with an air refreshner, and i refused. I asked him to find me another non smoking room. And the staff was very helpful to find one for me. There wasn't any bell boy to help you with your luggages, but they provide trolleys on the lobby. Overall, this budget hotel is worth every peny.

cozy hotel located in heart of semarang”

This my first time came to semarang and luckily i chose to live in holiday inn expresss which is situated in heart of semarang which is convenience and there are so many food stalls near simpang lima as well as the sepeda hias. Thanks agoda!

Very good hotel at Semarang”

We were happy stayed at holiday inn express semarang. We were amazed with all good hospitality, cleanliness, good building maintenance, complete amenities in rooms & also good location (surrounded by good street foods). We'll definately staying at this hotel again whenever we're at Semarang.

New built hotel and perfect room design”

I am happy staying at Holiday Inn Semarang. New hotel and clean, good room design. Close to Plasa simpang lima and Ciputra Mall. Breakfast is good taste and Jamu herbal are available.

A Unique, Comfortable and Affordable hotel”

It was one of our family good experiences to stay at this hotel. It's a simple hotel but with unique decoration and other excellent services, it become a wonderful place to stay. It's quite close to Simpang Lima (walking distance), one of the best location at Semarang for relaxing. The food served during sahur time (early breakfast) was not too many but it is good enough with some variety provided. Another excellent services was wifi speed which even used together for many units, the quality was still maintain very good.

Good stay and Practical Hotel”

I was Solo traveler early of Jan 2021 and I found Holiday Inn Express a very good hotel with a very nice location at the city center and also convenient services. Bottom line is totally worth with the price offered. So for a situation where what you need is a good comfort room, decent breakfast and strategic location then Holiday Inn Express will be a good rounded option. But if you looking at to enjoy facility in the hotel then you need to find somewhere else.

We stayed in Holiday Inn for just one night, for business matters. Our reviews about the hotel: + Location: The location is great, because it is located not far (around 250 meters) from the Simpang Lima Square. You also can find food stalls, shops and convenient stores nearby. + Staff: The staffs were attentive. We only had 1 pair of slippers and when we requested it, they gave it to us shortly. + Cleanliness: Our room is quite clean, although we found some dust near bed, but it's not that dirty. - Breakfast: Their breakfast taste was actually good enough, although some of the foods were a bit salty. But the minus point is the variety of the food and the Cleanliness. The varieties are so-so, I can get a better Breakfast quality from other hotel that has a lower price. But the Worse part is I found bug in the Scrambled Egg. I think the hotel management should pay more attention about this. Overall it's a good hotel to sleep in and worth for the price.

Semarang on its very heart”

Staying at Holiday Inn Express Semarang is a wonderful experience of Semarang's latest city hotel. Situated close to the city centre, simpang lima, this hotel allows you to reach any corner of the city easily. Feel the heat of the day or the warm of the night as many attractions and culinary spots are available within walking distance. The hotel's also provide good facilities, one of my favorite is the city view gym. If only they had built a pool on top of its roof, there can only be 1 word to describe this place, Perfect..

Easy, comfortable and brilliant”

By staying at the Holiday Inn Express Semarang, all the needs as a short period traveer are fulfilled. I can easily access to the city just in a quick. Close to the shopping malls and restaurants. I have never worried of having final shopping before leaving to the airport. Near to the airport and getting a taxies is not a big issues.

Very good in all”

Very good location, easy access to simpang lima where there was central point in Semarang.. breakfast was good, limited variation but tasty 😂 staff were friendly and helpfull

Exceptional”

Nice hotel within easy walking distance of Simpang Lima malls. Breakfast was nothing spectacular, but they were constantly out of plates/bowls and food was low. It seemed that there were just too many people eating for the amount of staff that they has cooking and the kitchen could not keep the buffet stocked. Everything else was great.

Nice n clean room”

This was our second time stayed at this hotel. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and quite big for three stars hotel. The hotel location is at the downtown and you can easily find local food in the evening by walking for 5 minutes to simpang lima.

This is my second time staying at holiday inn express, Semarang on a business trip. Overall, okay except that the shower gel dispenser was empty and bidet not working but called housekeeping and they attend to it pretty quickly..

A Nice New Hotel in the Simpang Lima Area”

Hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly. Check-In and Out was also fast. Proximity to the shopping area in Simpang Lima and access to other areas of Semarang are also convenient. Good place to stay.

Good location”

The hotel is in simpang lima, good location to find foods and snacks at night. The breakfast is so so but convenient if you need to go early.
