The hotel is showing its age, but the staff were very friendly and the facilities were good for a 5-star hotel. Even though it was a 2-night stay on a weekend, they upgraded me to a corner room on the 51st floor for free, which was still available. I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Honest review of 22nd floor of Hiwon Convention Hotel”
When asked if I wanted a high or low floor at check-in, I chose high and was given the 22nd floor. Upon entering the room, I was greeted with a beautiful autumn view of the mountains covered in colorful foliage. The bed was comfortable with soft pillows, and I had a great night's sleep. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet, which may be a bit pricey, but worth the cost. The food was delicious and satisfying. The parking system was a bit inconvenient compared to other hotels, but understandable given that it is a hotel with a casino. Overall, I had a great experience and highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel with strong softness rather than hardness!!”
Everyone from the parking attendant to the front desk to the skyway cart tour staff was very friendly. Especially when we checked in at 9 pm on Saturday night, despite the crowded time due to the fireworks show, the parking attendants were very kind~~~^. Although we are a couple in our 70s, we want to do the skyway cart tour again in early June next year when the Shasta daisies are in full bloom!!! (The scenery around the skyway cart path on July 3, 2022 is also 100 points)

Spacious interior, pleasant air quality in the room. High mountains visible beyond the window. It's great to get away from the city and enjoy nature by riding the Gonjola to the Hiwon Tower. Especially the trail to the top of Baekun Mountain is great for feeling the natural forest (be prepared with trekking or running shoes, and be aware of spider webs and insects in the summer). The staff were kind and helpful in guiding us. I recommend it if you want a relaxing vacation.

3 hours from Incheon, but worth the effort”
Thought this hotel was part of High1 on the other side of the mountain and not in Kangwon Land Casino, turned out I was wrong and it is right next to the Casino. Anyway, it all turned out great. It actually is confusing there entrance door says Kangwon Land Convention Hotel, but agoda calls it High1 Convention Hotel. There are a few signs saying High1 Convention Hotel, but most of the visible signs say Kangwon Land Convention Hotel. So I was very confused during check in. But the available photos confirmed it and a few visible signs confirmed it. The food around the area is really good, but you must order what the restaurant is good at. World Fusion is good at buffets so eat that and do not order from the menu. Orien is great Japanese food, so dont order the chinese... etc I was afraid the noise and the casino crowd will be annoying, turned out the hotel keeps this crowd far far away from the hotel crowd... so all is great. It is very easy to get to the ski area, it is just a few stops away. In general a bus comes by every 30 min. Ask concierge for the schedule. Or just take a taxi, it is very near and cheap; about 6000 krw.

Best New Year's Ever”
My stay at High1 Convention Hotel could have not been any better. We spent a 4 nights at the hotel and we were pleased to be allocated to a room that had a fantastic view of the snowy mountains, and a luscious bathtub that faced the same view too. New Year's eve fireworks were on display strategically just from our window view and it was bliss as we were able to stay warm indoors, in the comfort of our room. All in all, very please with the hotel. Only downside is that food can be quite limited and costly. But we ordered Dominos pizza and fried chicken on two evenings post-snowboarding, meaning there are cheap options too.

The Best Accommodation for Summer Vacation”
I was looking for a place to take a rest with my wife and baby son. High 1 convention hotel would be the best place for summer vacation if you travel with a baby and with relatively lower budget :) My wife was amazed with the room condition since it was extra clean and quite spacious for a standard room. You can get an easy access to a variety of entertainments all around the resort(incl. condominium) such as free outdoor swimming pools, playgrounds, and indoor kids rooms. Staff was ready and kind enough, but they weren't in their uniforms since there was a demonstration of the labor union going on... I'm planning to go back here for this coming autumn.

Modern hotel inside a casino complex”
The Convention Hotel is a new hotel built on a new wing with convention facilities at the ground floor. Food is slightly on the pricey side(but you can conveniently can the shuttle to the nearby towns, Sabuk or Gohan to eat local), but the room is nice with a large round bathtub which can easily fit 3.

Spacious and clean room”
at first we thought this is the "high 1 hotel". however, this is actually the kangwonland convention hotel, which is right next to kangwonland. you will require to wait for the shuttle bus to take you to the mountain valley, or condor, to enter the skiing site, this is a little not too convenient indeed. i've stayed in "superior double". the room is spacious, however, it is slightly smaller than the photo published on the web. the bathtub also not as big as shown on the photos. i've called the front-desk to check if they arranged a smaller room for us, however, they mentioned its the right room and can't be change. anyway, the room is clean and the view is nice. it was a nice stay at the end. the staff was helpful as well.

Wonderful Winter Skiing 1night stay”
We had to take the shuttle bus to the hotel. That is the only inconvenience from the ski house. There are hotels nearer to the ski house. However, the breakfast is good but pricey. There are also only one bar for a drink and is closed on Mondays. Nothing much to do in the night but the room is simply amazing. The toilet with bathtub is spacious, shower is comfortable with easily adjusted warm water. There is a 'museum' like a Hanok village near the hotel, viewable from my hotel room. It is beautiful and we built our snowman there.

Overall was a good experience. The hotel is not far away from Gohan station, you can easily grab a cab from the station to the hotel or u can wait for hotel shuttle bus free. Every 20 to 30 min there is one bus, that send u straight to the hotel. There is casino in the hotel. The room is clean, i dun consider very big room. The view fr my room is good. There are shuttle bus that send u ard HIgh 1, eg to the ski resort. The staff is friendly.

Great location and room”
This hotel is centrally located in the main shopping district and right next to a subway station. There are lot of restaurants and even a nice part near by. The room was lovely very spacious and with a spectacular view of the city. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet; great selection of both western and asian food.

i stayed at a corner room with wonderful view, fireworks was on during christmas at 8:30pm. can just enjoy the fireworks right insides the room. what a wonderful experience. Morden hotel room design.
