            Set in Shihi, 400 metres from Eiheiji Temple, Hakujukan offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.             An unique zen experience”

            We were apprehensive about staying at this hotel, which is linked with the Daihonzan Eiheiji Temple with our two noisy young boys. However the staff was extremely friendly and helpful (the concierge spoke fluent Mandarin) and gave us a warm welcome. The dinner was excellent, including DIY tofu at the table and sashimi and other dishes. We loved our room and the design and the decor (the building was made from Eiheiji cedars), both inside and outside Harajukan. The most special part is its linkage to the hotel, offering opportunities to participate in Zen activities. We sadly did not have enough time on this trip to experience that, but we hope to return soon.

            永平寺に参拝したくて”

            年老いた両親を永平寺に参拝させたくて訪れさせていただきました。両親は昔に参拝したらしいのですが、杖をつくようになって、昔のようには拝観出来ず、山門で途中断念。でも、宿泊で丁寧な接客と精進料理を堪能出来て大変喜んでおりました。ありがとうございました。
