As a Detective Conan fan, I decided to stay in Dotory for three days to visit Yura Station. It's convenient because it's only 100m away from Totori Station and there are three convenience stores nearby. There are also restaurants and fast food chains like McDonald's and KFC inside the station, and there are restaurants near the hotel where you can have breakfast. There's a ramen shop at the entrance of the hotel that serves delicious and chewy noodles, which is perfect for breakfast. The hotel room is not as small as typical Japanese hotel rooms, and it can accommodate two 28-inch and 26-inch suitcases. The room has a window and an air purifier, making it comfortable to stay in. The bathroom is small but very clean, and there's a sauna in the hotel that you can use multiple times a day. The sauna is always clean, and I thought about going there to relieve my fatigue after my trip. The hotel doesn't provide water, but there's a vending machine where you can buy drinks, and there's a coffee and tea machine in the lobby that you can use anytime. The pillows in the room are soft, but if you prefer a firmer pillow, there are different types available on each floor. There are three washing machines and dryers in the laundry room, so you don't have to wait to do your laundry. After staying at this hotel, I went to Kyoto, but I kept thinking about how comfortable and convenient this hotel was, and how much I missed the sauna.

Small rooms but it has everything. Bathroom is clean. I booked 3 rooms. Check-in staff attitude can be better, we believe might be an English language challenge. Despite trying to clarify which of the 3 rooms are for 4pax, the staff insisted all rooms are the same. It was not the case. Imagine the inconvenience of retrieving the extra towels, amenities and pillows from another room. Feedback on this the next day, and got no apology from the staff. At one point, the staff even asked if we speak Chinese. Which the staff wanted to use the translator device for. We were puzzled, because we are adequate and conversing in English. That being said, it's still a good hotel. One of the newer ones around. Parking staff was very dedicated and reserved a lot for us every day which was very much appreciated.

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Tottori Station and bus stops. There are many restaurants within walking distance. It's at a great location. The hotel room is clean and the staff is friendly. The public bath is relatively small and having less amenities. Recommended to go in early evening if you want to avoid the crowds.
