Central, comfortable and well maintained”
This was one of my best stays on many trips in China. Check in took a little long but staff was very friendly and the room more than made up for it. Had a good view from the room, bed was very comfortable and there was a bathtub in the bathroom. Hands down best gym I have ever seen in a hotel, well equipped and big with a swimming pool. Staff is very well trained. Great location, close to walking street and well connected to public transport to go pretty much anywhere like the university, Mount Lu and the railway station. Didn't try their breakfast since there's so much food to try in Changsha. Had a fantastic stay.

First visit to Changsha and this hotel is very nice and with great location. City centre and a lots of shopping malls and restaurants at walking distance. LRT station just below the hotel. Room is clean and spacious with reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Good location”
Subway (railway station) just outside the hotel, so it is convenient to everything. However, be aware that many taxi drivers in Changsha are from outstation and are not familiar with Changsha's streets. Our family of four took two taxis (because of luggage) from the main railway station and both drivers could not find their way to the hotel. We had to use our own Google Maps (could not operate efficiently in China) to guide the drivers, and had to ask people on the streets also. It took a very long time to eventually find the hotel and we were exhausted by then. While at the hotel, the staff told us we could have just caught the train to the station outside the hotel. It was not far. The hotel is nice and staff are friendly.

It's my third time staying at this property, and I still enjoy the convenience of being in the city center and direct subway to Changsha South train station. The hotel is undergoing some renovation in the lobby and second level, so I reckon the main entrance will look more presentable in the future. While the rooms are generally good in size, it would probably need a facelift as well.

My first visit to Changsha, hotel is just 30 meters away from MRT station, surrounding with nice food and shopping mails. Standard Queen Room - clean , comfortable bed.

Comfortable stay at great location ”
After spending the rest of our China trip at mid-rate Chinese 3 star hotels, staying at a western international chain was a splurge well worth it. Mercure’s location at Wuyi Square was perfect - direct access to both subway lines. Most comfortable room and beds we stayed at in China. Only minus: if breakfast isn’t included in your rate then skip it and grab some food elsewhere. The breakfast buffet is all salad and Chinese fare, and at that pretty mediocre. Limited western food to speak of nor western breakfast basics such as as waffles, fried eggs, bacon etc. If you’re going to be eating dumplings and congee anyway for breakfast get it much cheaper and better outside.

Reasonably priced for the room. Rooms are reasonably big, well equip with amenities and very clean. Staffs are very helpful. Good location, near Walking Street for shopping, Restaurants and Metro station. Allow checkout extension up to 2.0 pm. Breakfast has verity of western and oriental foods.

Location's great close to subway and easy to find taxi ,staff 're helpful . Bed 's comfortable . The things that mistake 's we booked for 1 king bed and 1 twins but we got 2 twins anyway its same prices and kind of lazy to go down to get the new one in addition the air conditioner 's too hot .

It was a very old hotel. It had no restaurants fot lunch or dinner. There were only two front desk staff on duty, one serving the priority members. Concierge in charge Rolf Zhao was very helpful and caring.
