Grand Diamond Suites Hotel is located in "Pratunam", next to the Platinum Fashion Mall. You can shop the whole day. If tired, just sit down and have Swenson ice-cream or coffee at Grand Canyon/StarBucks and walk back to the hotel, next building only. It is surrounded by major shopping malls, Central World Plaza, Siam Paragon, Pantip Plaza and the famous Shrine (Four Face Buddha) which is the place for my priority visit to Bangkok. The Executive suite is clean and spacious with a bedroom, living room and dining area as well as pantry area providing all comforts of home. It has two LCD TV, one each in the bedroom and living room. The bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub. It served buffet breakfast with a variety of food, such American breakfast, sushi, chicken and pork porridge, fishball and roasted pork ("Cha Siew")soup noodle, etc. It is easily accessible from Suvarnabhumi Airport by the Airport Link Railway at 40 Baht, alight at Ratchaprarop Station, just about 20 minutes to the hotel and many stalls are along the way. No need to spend on taxi fare from Airport to the hotel.

We have been to Bangkok several times and always choose to stay at the Grand Diamond Pratunam. Our son is 16 and feels like it is home away from home with spacious rooms, a flat screen T.V. and a fridge close at hand. He loves the nearby western fast-food of McDonald's, Burger King, A&W and 7/11 shops. We are from the USA, but have lived in India for the last 7 years, so the availability of these comfort foods are important to him. My husband enjoys the terrific breakfast buffet while I am impressed by the ambiance of the rooms with the terrific view of the city. We all love the location and easy access to a variety of shopping choices. There is the upscale Central World right around the corner, while right next door is the more market-like Platinum Mall. We all enjoy taking a quick tuk-tuk to the MBK Mall and on the weekends we go over to the Week End Market. Our piano, guitar and drum-playing son likes the 3 music stores that are within walking distance of the hotel. After shopping on-line for hours trying to beat the price, location and ambiance, I found nothing to compare with the Grand Diamond Pratunam Hotel in Bangkok. We always stay there and as my son says, if he can't stay at the Grand Diamond, he doesn't want to go.

The Grand Diamond Pratunam Hotel, Bangkok is good and cheap place to stay in Bangkok. The Grand Diamond Pratunam Hotel has the great location, on Petchburi Road, nearby BTS Skytrain. You can really walk to the main shopping areas of Siam Square. The Grand Diamond Pratunam Hotel designed Diamond cut shape pf building feature 4 wings that allow every room to be located on a corner, my room also then I can see city view from my room. The rooms of the Grand Diamond are really big as its a service apartment and not a hotel. I had a full kitchen, living room and bedroom and all was clean and comfortable. Not amazing but it was all good. And, the size of the room you could probably stay in there with several people together.The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good too.

Suite hotel”

grand diamond suite hotel was recommended from my friend. i had stayed at baiyoke sky hotel, arnoma hotel and centrepoint petchburi bangkok but grand diamond makes a difference among them. it was such a convenient to access to platinum mall, central world, big c, pantip plaza, amarin plaza and pratunam market. walking distance to bts chidlom or ratchathewi. service was great as they have one staff who can speak both mandarin and english. the rooms are well-maintained, spacious space in toilet and living room, tv could be turnable to either bedroom or living room. won’t want to go to swimming pool as it is located at the same floor where ploy restaurant serves breakfast, dim sum buffet and dinner on the 8th floor.

A 4-STAR HOTEL BUT WITH A 6-STAR SERVICE!!!”

I patronize the Hotel at least two days a month. When you reach the front office of the Hotel, you will be greeted by the most charming ladies who are very pleasant, courteous and extremely helpful. The lobby of the Hotel is very cosy despite being small! The hotel rooms are very spacious, clean and well equipped. The bathroom in the guest-room is large; complete with a large bath tub and a spacious shower closet. The food spread for buffet breakfast is really great. You have a balanced mix of both the western and eastern popular varieties of food for breakfast. The security aspects of the guests have been adequately taken into account. A front desk manager is stationed close to the lift lobby. Intruders are stopped from getting to the lift lobby. Lift access to the guest-room floors is strictly by key cards. The bell service is prompt and efficient. The Hotel is centrally located. Siam Square, which is the centre of Bangkok, is a short walking distance away. The Hotel is also close to numerous shopping malls; for clothings, computers, authentic designer labels of every kind, etc. The Skytrain station is walking distance away from the Hotel. Grand Diamond Hotel Suites is the only hotel which I will strongly recommend during your next visit to Bangkok. I can promise you that you will definitely have a very memorable stay there! You have to stay there to see and feel the distinctive service and luxury! STAYING AT GRAND DIAMOND IS BELIEVING!!!

Great Location and excellent service”

this is the fourth time i am staying at grand diamond suite hotel. i love the location though the nearest bts to me was at chitlom and it is about 15-20 mins away. but as there are shopping malls along the way to the bts, the journey hardly seemed long. there's many shopping around grand diamond suite hotel and a big c supermarket nearby which i enjoy going too. the rooms are spacious and their service is good too and the staff command of english is quite good. the only drawback is that i feel that they should provide free internet service to their customers. i think this will help to draw more guests to their hotel as most of the newer hotels in bangkok are doing so and i am willing to try those out if the internet is free as it will make it more covenient for me to reach out to family members when i'm back resting at the hotel.

Suite at an affordable price ”

Read through the reviews, was quite put off by Grand Diamond hotel being old. However, my girl friend and I wanted somewhere near to Platinum Mall yet safe, preferably along the main road so Grand Diamond was one of our choices but not the first choice. However, we didn't regret choosing it. In fact, I had a good impression of Grand Diamond. Not only is it connected to Platinum Mall, so much convenience for us to put our loots in the room and continue shopping, the bell boy helped us with our luggages and hailed a taxi for us the moment we checked out. The staffs were always friendly. Even though the facilities weren't brand new, we enjoyed our stay because it is very spacious with the fact that we paid a reasonable price for a junior suite. I would definitely consider going back to Grand Diamond the next time I visit BKK.

Great rooms but hotel currently under renovatio”

Grand Diamond Suites is right next door to the Platinum Fashion market which sells fashionable clothings at cost price. It was indeed very fun to go shopping. It's also a stones throw away from an IT mall. My daughters and I went specifically to shop and tailor suits on Sukhumvit road. We weren't aware that Bangkok traffic was so awful and that Platinum Mall closes quite early. So if you do go shopping, it'd be better to do so from the morning. Shops close around 7pm due to Bangkok's bad traffic. The rooms which we stayed in were nice and spacious though the water heater takes a while to work and the room had a musky smell. The hotel lobby is currently undergoing renovations but that didn't bother us, there were no loud sounds at night so we all got a good night's sleep. Overall, it was a fantastic hotel. Definitely, made our trip more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Great location”

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient when we checked in at the hotel. When we got to the room, we noticed that the room was very clean. No stained bedsheets or sticky flooring. The room was truly clean! The bathroom was huge and equipped with shower area, bathtub, etc. With regards to location, this hotel is merely a 3 min walk away from Platinum shopping centers. Local food is plentiful at the food court. Even after the mall closed at 8pm, we could still go back to the hotel for food and shopping. There are great restaurants in the hotel, not to mention the room service menu! It was the first time I saw such a comprehensive variety of food in a room service menu with all types of cuisines, like western, Chinese, Thai, not forgetting you can easily find appetizers to main courses to desserts in the menu. Moreover there are also boutiques located right at the hotel lobby. I would definitely recommend Grand Diamond Suites to anyone going to bangkok and I would sure stay there again!

Bangkok break”

Staying at the Grand Diamond Suites Pratunam Hotel Bangkok was very enjoyable. The room was clean, spacious and had all the facilities we needed, e.g. fridge, cooker, seating, TV, etc. as well as a comfy bed and a nice bathroom! The local shopping places were within 5 minutes walking distance and there were some really good eating places close at hand too. The staff of the hotel were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a week in the Grand Diamond and it finished off our holiday a treat. We would certainly stay there again when we get the chance!

Excellent Hotel, Great Value and Friendly Staff”

We have stayed many times in various hotels in this area but the Grand Diamond is the best we have encountered so far. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with a TV in both bedroom and the lounge. The bathroom is large with a separate bath and walk in shower, wash hand basin etc. Breakfast in the large restaurant is a wonderful spread - don't miss it! For shopping the Grand Diamond is located adjacent to the Pratunam shopping complexes and only a short walk from Pantip Centre if you are interested in buying computer related goods. The only slight downside of the hotel is that the reception area tends to be a bit frantic during the day as it is part of the shopping area so watch your baggage! Otherwise, security is very good - you even need your room access card to operate the lifts - tricky at first attempt! No hesitation to recommending this hotel - and as we are regular visitors to Bangkok we shall certainly stay here again

the grand diamond plaza suites hotel is my absolute favorite hotel in bangkok for that price range. i always stay at grand diamond and the staff always remember me , i feel like family and the hotel is like a second home.it is seriously that good!! i am actually reluctant to tell you all this because i like it to be my little secret but that is not fair to such a wonderful hotel.i stay at least 3 times per year and the always assign me the same room !!it is in a great location for shopping and basically everything is at your fingertips. don't hesitate trust me it is great .great breakfast too , in fact the best from all the hotels i stay in.

my stay at grand diamond suites pratunam hotel was really great, i loved it!the location was excellent for shopping and eating.i was pleasantly surprised ,as i travel alot,that the hotel food 24 hr service was really delicious and not expensive. a first for me as i usually don't like hotel food!! the suite was well appointed and i appreciated the extra space etc that the suite offered.i also loved their breakfast,very well organized & food great.the room was well priced and i will definitely stay here again.

very convenient hotel for first timers at bangkok, especially for those who doesn't like to travel using the mrt. located just beside platinum mall which makes life much easier with access to food and shopping within 5 mins. staff are very polite and handle english well as long as you do not use overwhelming terms. they may be busy at times due to the popularity of the hotel so please do have patience with them. rooms are very nicely maintained. love the fact that the master bedroom for the deluxe suite has a panorama view of the city from the bathtub which i believe adds on to your relaxation while taking a long bath after shopping. adaptors are available personally for every room in grand diamond unlike other hotels which provide them at the counter only. bad point is that its 10 mins away from the nearest mrt plus a sudden leak from the aircon. kudos to them settling every problems very quickly still. enjoyed my stay with grand diamond and would definitely choose them again when i visit bangkok once again!

Halal Kitchen”

This is my first stay at Grand Diamond Suites Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to see a Halal menu inside my room. Upon checking, I saw that they have a separate Halal Certified kitchen. I have tasted the food and it was very delicious and reasonably priced. I'm recommending this hotel to my family and friends.Grand Diamond Suites Hotel will be my first choice when I visit Bangkok again.

Comfortable, big, convenient location”

It was pleasant. Staff were friendly. Location was awesome, right beside hotel was Platinum Shopping Centre. every night there would be a "night market" outside the hotel selling clothes too. There are also many food option around the hotel. Room was big and clean. We took the junior suite. We were allowed to do late checkout at 200 Baht an hour. This is a good system as most hotels only allow late checkout of 1 hour latest. However Grand Diamond allowed late checkout til whatever time as long as you paid 200 Baht an hour which is a fairly good deal considering our flight was only at 8pm (checkout time is 12pm). Access to airport is also fast by taxi 15-20 mins. We tried the airport railway since we had time to kill and the train station was very near grand diamond hotel.

First Trip to Bangkok”

This was our first trip to Thailand, so we didn't really know where a great location would be. We picked the Grand Diamond because it wasn't expensive but seemed to be in a good location. We were thrilled to find that this inexpensive hotel gave us a large, comfortable suite, including a kitchenette, 2 TVs, plenty of storage, and a spacious bathroom. The hotel is also walking distance from excellent shopping from bargain malls to huge upscale malls. We didn't have to go far for anything. My wife had a little accident in which she pinched her pinky finger in the window. It drew blood and caused a lot of pain. The manager on duty walked us to a nearby clinic, which was clean and professional, and the injury was well treated. The manager then sent my wife a beautiful bouquet. It was a kind gesture. The only unpleasant thing was that, even though we were on the 18th floor, we still saw 2 little cockroaches near the sink. It was surprising because the place was really clean. (BTW: Our next destination was Ko Pha Ngan, where the insects in our room were monstrous in size. Didn't bother me, but my wife was worried.) We liked the Grand Diamond and would definitely stay there again.

Best Location Hotel”

This is our third time stay in Bangkok but it our first time stay at Grand Diamond Hotel and we really enjoyed it. The hotel staff are excellent and the location of the hotel close to all cheap shopping outlet and cheap street foods. The location of the hotel just right next to the new wholesale shopping center and a short walking distance to IT building. Other shopping center like Big C, MBK and Siam can be a walking distance too but to catch a meter taxi to MBK it only cost us around 60butt. We like the comfort of the hotel standard room size was big with separate kitchen and lounge. The hotel have big selection on their breakfast but the only thing is it the same everyday. We like the hotel, if we come back to Bangkok again we would like to stay at Grand Diamond hotel. We would highly recommended for people who have family and like cheap shopping and this is the hotel to stay.

what we like most is the location in the mid of pratunam shopping area. this hotel is near to everything we needed, restaurants and shopping centres are spreading around. platinum mall is next to grand diamond suites hotel, while pratip plaza is on the other side of the hotel. isetan and central world are less than 5minutes walking. breakfast is good with a variety of choices. our rooms are spacious and clean. we will surely visit this hotel again on our next trip to bangkok.

Great Hotel close to shopping area”

Have stayed at a few hotels in the Pratunam Area, and Grand Diamond Suites is one of my favorites in terms of Value for money and it's great location for shopping. It offers a varity of room types. It is located a few minutes walk from Pratunam garment market as well as is next door to IT center Panthip Plaza, where good deals can be found. There are numerous restaurants in area.
