Overrated ”
Mold in the shower. Very disgusting! Breakfast was a cheap 50 NTD sandwich from local shop. In no way a replacement for a proper breakfast menu but have to say also on my last visit the breakfast menu was terrible and low quality. Can’t understand how a so called „Grand“ Hotel can offer such low quality food and can’t instruct their staff to clean properly.

Grand City Hotel is located in a very convenient place and right next to the train station. The hotel is super clean and has many excellent facilities for your comfort. In addition, the breakfast was delicious and offer many varieties that should satisfy your taste buds.

Awesome service and amazing big room”
The room was so clean, nice and big. The toilet could fit a single bed inside - that was how big the empty space in the toilet is. This is weird but I loved the toilet. Breakfast was alright - same food everyday but we enjoyed it still. Their service was really good - the doorman (doorwoman? doorlady?) were awesome. The first one was a lady and she was so helpful, bringing us up first then bringing the luggages up herself. Location was good, just beside Fengyuan TRA, but Fengyuan itself is kinda at the sides of Taichung already so it takes more time to travel to the attractions in Taichung.

Old town hotel”
This hote located at old town . It is easy access to old town night market and conventional train station ( just next to hotel ). But other than that , it is quite far away from city center . I have miss leading by agoda review and book this hotel . Hotel itself is clean and nice . Just location is not the ideal for me . Beside , I'm not very happy that taxi called by hotel is not public can . Im not sure is it uber car service or hotel personal car. But charges is very expensive From hotel to speed train station , it took me TWD 550.

Fantastic Stay”
The hotel room is clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. Staff were friendly and approachable. We took the room with 2 queen size beds. Stayed over as we need to take train to another town the next day. 5 min walk to the train station which was just beside the hotel. Not much things around the hotel though, need to walk at least 10 to 15min to the nearest night market but overall, its lovely! Worth the stay.

Near Railway station”
This hotel is just located next to the railway station which is very convenient. Apart from that, the night market which is located not far away from the hotel as well. Definitely suitable for everyone who which to spend their weekend within Taichung

Excellent location but older facility and moldy bathroom”
Stayed at this hotel for Flora Expo 2018. Booked it for great location (right next to train station) and great price, about $70 per night all together. “Free parking”- they only cover your parking during the stay, which means only from 3pm to noon the next day if you’re only staying for one night, and you have to pay the rest, which is only about $1 an hour. Very friendly staff. Room is clean overall, decent size, sheets are clean, bed is comfortable and huge. The real problem is the bathroom. Toilet and sink are fine, but the caulking around tub is pretty molded and gross, same for my other family’s room. And for my room, section of the ceiling right above tub is also molded. The bathroom does have a moldy smell because of that. Also hard to take a shower- you have to stand in the tub but the hand piece doesn’t reach high enough so it was very awkward to use. Breakfast included- not very good but good enough to get you going for the day, especially when it’s only $70 a night!

very close to the train station!”
I think it's a very normal hotel, nothing special. But the bed was sooooooo big, love it! I literally woke up and was thinking where was my boyfriend, because the bed was just soooo wide! I miss that bed... :( It's also very close to the train station, u just walk for 1 minute and ur there! Location is great because there's stores around so you'll never starve. The bus station is also just a 2 minute walk away, so you can take the bus to Lipai park just from there. the food was ok, had juices, cereal, chinese breakfast style or toast~ I think if I wanted to go to Lipao amusement park again, this would definitely be my first choice! Clean, location, big bed, ok breakfast. What more could u ask for?

The location is perfect, just next to the train station and it’s not noisy. There are a lot of restaurants nearby as well as a small night market only 9mins walking distance. The environment is clean and comfortable. A police station just next to the hotel, feel safe.

Very nice”
Overall this hotel is very pleasant to stay in. The staff and amenties are not like 5 star international hotels, instead they are less 'in your face' and this makes a pleasant change. This is reflected in the tariff which is lower due to less overheads while keeping very high standards. There is no mini-bar in the rooms but to me this wasn't a concern.

The hotel deserves 4 stars and the room is super big. Despite the entrance of the hotel is a bit strange that cars and mobiles were coming from every direction which made one to be very careful once you left the hotel, other things were pretty good. Good location, good service
