1. Location: You need to go from the airport through the city to the western edge. There is a shuttle bus, but having a rental car is essential for easy access. The accessibility is somewhat lacking, but the resort provides good conveniences, so if you know some Japanese, it's manageable. 2. Service: This was a major satisfaction. During the staff's working hours, I never heard anyone say, "Please ask another staff member." Even if it takes time to get in touch, they strive to resolve most issues on the spot, which was very impressive. While the English skills of the employees are somewhat lacking for a large resort, their willingness to help is impeccable. However, for Koreans, they strictly adhere to certain unnecessary principles and procedures, which may feel uncomfortable in some ways (there's no flexibility). 3. Meals: We had breakfast every day and dinner once. The dinner was worth its price, with a variety of menus. However, the breakfast was so outstanding that the dinner didn't catch our attention. You must try the breakfast. There were many children (from infants to school-age), so it might be a bit overwhelming, but my family of seven had absolutely no complaints and were very satisfied with the breakfast. Personally, it seems the dishes are generally prepared lightly. I was extremely satisfied. I ate so much for breakfast that it disrupted our lunch schedule... 4. Facilities: Very satisfied with the indoor pool. The water temperature is perfect, and the slide, although it goes once around, can be enjoyed by adults too. The outdoor pool was too cold to use, but it would likely be crowded in the summer. Even though few people use it, the pool is managed very cleanly. The pool leads to the beach, and there is some sand near the bridge leading to the beach, but it doesn't seem to be a major issue. The massage parlor was visited by my entire family, but many reviews mentioned that the pressure was weak. If you ask for a stronger massage, they will accommodate you. Basic facilities such as water dispensers, ice makers, washers, and dryers are well maintained and work well. Overall, I think you'll be satisfied with the facilities. 5. Rooms: We stayed on the first floor of the garden terrace. There was a characteristic musty smell in the room, but it wasn't severe, and running a dehumidifier quickly eliminated it and cooled the air. However, the pillows were a bit disappointing; they seemed old and filled with plastic cylindrical filling used back in the 2000s or cotton, making it hard to fit and stiff for the neck. I ended up sleeping without it. The bathroom and lavatory are separate, and amenities are well provided. If you skip cleaning, you get a 1,000 yen voucher, and if you do a half-skip (only replenishing amenities), you get a 500 yen voucher applicable at any facility within the resort. We deducted it from our massage and dinner expenses. For reference, you need to turn on the water boiler to get hot water. Depending on the room, turning on the heating may increase the smell, so caution is needed. Overall, I'm satisfied, but there are some areas of concern. 6. Miscellaneous: There are some parking difficulties. The P2 parking lot within the resort is hard to park in the evening. If there are no spots, you have to go to the external P1 parking lot, and they'll send a shuttle bus immediately if you contact them (it's walkable but quite a distance). Snorkeling is available at the beach. You can bring personal gear, and there are lifeguards on the beach. There are also a lot of fish. If you go near the spots marked with red buoys, you will see anemones and clownfish, among others, up to giant trumpet fish. If you don't have time, snorkeling here alone seems sufficient. Of course, there are no turtles or mantas... The resort is long horizontally, so there are electric shuttles driven by staff to transport guests. You can board by using a QR code, calling, or asking staff. It's quite convenient. Snacks and drinks are sold at the shop in the central wellness center, so you can visit if you're feeling peckish. The animal square at the end of the resort seems to only have goats in winter. In summer, they seem to bring turtles and parrots as well. There is no water provided, but they give you a water bottle to fill and drink from. It’s a bit inconvenient, but I tolerated it as it’s environmentally friendly. By the way, if you max the refrigerator, the water will freeze. Adjust it to around 3 or 4 for use. Overall evaluation: There’s no better place for family use than this. This was our first time to Ishigaki island and Fusaki resort was huge part of making it a special holiday. The facilities were great we enjoyed the pools and the beach, the public bath was also very nice with outside onsen pool. Breakfast was great, both restaurants had many choices both western and Japanese. We used the resort shop for extra swimwear and snacks and drinks. There were coin laundry/dryer machines on each floor which was incredibly useful. One complaint was that the room cleaning was hit or miss, sometimes they would forget new towels, or clean the bathroom area entirely, and always left 3 adult pajamas even though we had a child.

The resort is very pretty and well maintained. The room is spacious and well-equipped making it for a very comfortable stay. The onsen and indoor pool are great (and ideal during bad weather). The beach is clean. The pool area is stunning. The only negative observation: I was surprised to see parents carrying their children and babies directly over the buffet. During my 14-day stay, I repeatedly saw children coughing over the food while being hovered over the buffet from their parents’ arms, so this wasn’t a one-off incident. This really shouldn’t be allowed, as it poses a sanitary risk and it’s unappetising to see.

Overall, I am satisfied. The hotel's facilities, the kindness of the staff, and the hygiene were all satisfactory. I can recommend it. However, there are some areas that could be improved, so I would like to leave a few comments. 1. Incorrect room assignment - I was assigned to a different room than the type I reserved, and on the day of check-in around 5-6 PM after swimming, I had to move to another room while washing up, which prevented me from seeing the sunset. When I was given the room key with my name printed on it at the reception, I mentioned that although the surname matched, the first name was different, and even checked my passport, but they insisted that the room was correct, leading to the need for me to move. While I was moving rooms, the staff member who made the mistake was still on duty, yet other staff members came out to apologize and take follow-up actions, while that employee did not acknowledge the situation at all. 2. Difficulty in handling lost items and communication - On the day of departure after a 3-night stay, I realized that I had left my phone in the bathroom only upon arriving at the airport. I tried to contact the hotel in a hurry, but as a traveler, I usually use a data-only SIM card and couldn't make phone calls. Therefore, I sent messages through the "contact us" section of the website and through Twitter and Instagram DM, but did not receive any response until two hours later, just before my departure time. The email reply came the following morning after I had already left. As the situation is still ongoing, I do not know how it will conclude. The two issues mentioned above are problems that can be adequately handled or prevented with proper training or a manual. I believe the staff could confirm both the first and last names when assigning rooms and that the cleaning staff could have checked the room and reported any lost items during the checkout process. Additionally, I had breakfast for three days, but the menu hardly changed. There is a severe shortage of parking space in the two-week parking lot. Tip for visitors: There is a cart available for free use within the hotel, so make sure to take advantage of it. The wellness center at the North Wing is quite far.

“The moment you step inside the resort, there is no longer a reason to go outside.”
The moment you step into the resort, the reason to go outside disappears. It is just right to say that this resort alone provides a perfect getaway. With restaurants, a health club, a sauna, and a swimming pool— even the beach— there is no time to get bored even if you stay all day. In fact, the condition of each facility is so well-maintained that I felt throughout my stay, “Indeed, this is the top luxury resort in Ishigaki.” However, if you don’t have a rental car, the location has its pros and cons. It is quite far from the city and there are hardly any places to walk to nearby, which naturally leads to a “complete relaxation mode” where you stay only within the resort. It might be inconvenient for sightseeing-oriented trips, but conversely, it is the perfect environment to unwind without external noise or hustle. The food was excellent, exceeding my expectations. I thought it would be mediocre just because it is a resort restaurant, but both the taste and quality were satisfying enough that there was no need to seek dining outside. The gym and sauna were pleasant, and the swimming pool truly captures the atmosphere of a vacation spot. The only downside is that customers have to fetch their own water, which was a minor but somewhat bothersome aspect. The service from the staff was very impressive. It was attentive without being excessive, and their natural kindness created a comfortable atmosphere. It seems that the word about it being the best resort among the local Ishigaki residents is not without reason. Above all, the highlight of this place is the private beach. You can feel like you have the sea and sky all to yourself without crowds, and the changing colors of the sea landscape at different times of the day become a journey in themselves. The moments spent walking quietly while listening to the sound of the waves will likely stay in memory for a long time. Overall, this resort is particularly suitable for those who want to completely relax rather than engage in active travel, for couples who want to spend time alone, and for newlyweds with babies. It might be boring if you are with teenagers, but if you desire a quiet and private getaway, it is hard to find a better choice than this. In a word — a place that makes “a vacation without needing to go anywhere” possible.
