Amazing value for money”

Foresto Sukhothai Guesthome was a beautiful hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed staying in. The value for money is amazing, our room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed. The pool was great and nice to cool off in. We also ate in the restaurant a few times and enjoyed our meals very much every time, the prices were also very reasonable. We'd highly recommend Foresto Sukhothai Guesthome.

Gorgeous Place”

We only stayed at Sukhothai overnight. I wish we could have stayed longer. My room at the Foresto Sukhothai Guesthome was absolutely gorgeous. It was very spacious and very clean. Wifi was very strong inside the room. The bathroom is just beautiful and I slept like a baby! I actually wanted to stay longer. I highly recommend this hotel because it exceeded my expectations. The management and staff were very accomodating. I am definitely going to stay here again when I visit Sukhothai in the future. Two thumbs up!

Best place to stay in Sukhothai”

Our stay was wonderful. We stayed longer than most guests stay in Sukhothai (7 days) because we were there for Loy Krathong. So we would go out to the historical site very early in the morning to take photos before the crowds arrived and return to the site late afternoon for the festivities. It was so good to have a place to spend time during the day that was so much more than a hotel room. If you went and sat in the restaurant you were made welcome (it was open all day) and it was very relaxing with the beautiful fish pond, there was the lovely gardens or the pool. All the staff were very friendly and it was like being part of a big family. Any questions we had about the area were sorted out, the owner helped us organise motor bike rental and even drove us to the airport bus link when we left. The food in the restuarant is fantastic, very authentic Thai. The breakfast menu is great with really interesting combinations that would suit everyone. So basically we loved staying here, would definitely stay again because we thought it was just lovely and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from big impersonal hotels to a smaller caring environment with great rooms, everything you could want in a lovely setting. We have been in Chiang Mai a few times for Loy Krathong and it is great but this festival in Sukhothai is just stunning. So thank you Foresto for a fun and relaxing time. We had never been to Sukhothai before and you were part of making it a wonderful experience.

3 nights in Sukhothai ”

I had the pleasure of staying at Foresto Sukhothai Guesthouse on a recent trip. This accommodation was outstanding! Upon arrival, I received a complimentary upgrade to a poolside bungalow. My room was large, clean and comfortable. The pool is very nice, especially in the evening, with the color changing lights. The restaurant is excellent. The operator/manager really made the experience. He was extremely helpful, and spoke very good English. I was able to book all of my tours and my transportation, through the front desk. The location is a short walk to anywhere you need to go in town. Beyond that, the manager will facilitate. The internet was solid and consistent. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend Foresto Sukhothai Guesthouse!

Lush oasis in Sukothai”

This is a wonderful family run hotel in a great location. The room was spacious and set within beautiful, lush landscaping. There is a nice swimming pool for hot afternoons. Breakfast is included with the room and is served in an open air dining room next to a lovely koi pond. The gracious host allowed me to hand feed the koi at their meal time which was one of the highlights of my visit. There is a night market a few blocks away for tradition food and a wonderful morning market across the street to the left if you would like to pick up fresh fruit or home made waffles for breakfast or a souvenir. I found a hat for 70 cents! . Foresto serves meals all day, but there are several restaraunts near by as well as a bar. On the street behind the hotel is a well reviewed pizza place as well as another fast food style pizza place on the street in front. The gentleman that runs the place can arrange just about anything for you. He is very dedicated and works at his place 7 days a week, usually from about 7AM to 11PM. He said that he loves his place and that this is the life that he is living. I highly recommend Foresto if you find yourself in Sukhothai.

Innercity Oasis”

The jungle-esque aspect of of Foresto is a world away from the bustle of the (very) nearby Sukhothai streets. You really are hidden away here, from people, noise and traffic. There is a large parking area at the front of the complex, then reception and dining area, then rooms. All the rooms have a little sitting area with chairs and the whole area is steeped in attractive gardens which gives the impression of much-needed privacy (not much in Asia generally). Our room was large and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was included which is a very welcome addition if you're site-seeing. Eggs are high on the agenda and there are also a couple of Thai soups with tea/coffee and juice. Locally there are plenty of tourist eateries, but if you prefer what the locals eat, as we do, walk over the bridge to the street stalls...yum! Overall Foresto is in need of basic maintenance...tiles coming off pool, some timber wearing out; however it is a delightful place and I would most certainly revisit.

Great value for a good room”

This is our second time we stayed at Foresto in Sukhothai, we decided to come back here again because of the hotel room was very impressive by the size, cleanliness, and design. The hotel owner was very friendly and helpful. The hotel located in the city center with a short walking distance to 7-11, restaurants, and food stalls. We enjoyed our time there and would recommend this hotel for Sukhothai visitors.

Very romantic and fantastic room”

We absolutely loved the 3 night's at Foresto Sukhothai. What a fantastic room it is! The owner has done some clever thinking with designing the rooms like this. We stayed here in december and with the AC off it's still not very warm during the day. We booked without breakfast but in the morning when we were going out, he was waiting for us to tell he has a promo that breakfast is now included! Very thoughtfull (thumbs up:-)). We also appreciated the big coach in the room. Unfortunately, by accident, i left the cap of a bottle of musquito repellant on the coach which caused a circle on the material. I noticed the owner about this and his reaction was full of understanding. To the owner: if you read this, sorry again but i love your Guesthouse!

Great Guest House”

We stayed at the Foresto for two nights the weekend of the Sukhothai marathon. Many other properties were booked, and for that we are thankful, else we would not have found this gem of a guest house. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us and efficiently checked us in, showing us to our beautifully appointed room, which was large and creatively designed. Since we were hungry, we risked ordering lunch, and was pleased with the taste, price, and room-service. In fact, we ate there several more times! The guest house is about 10 kilometers away from the ancient ruins, but instead of driving our own vehicle, the staff arranged for a tuk-tuk. We would easily stay there again.

Foresto is Awesome!”

'm going to start off by saying this place is AWESOME and you should book it. That's all I really need to say. To dive in further though... Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner of the hotel who seemed to stay up for our late rainy arrival. He was awesome and took us to room 4 situated in the back of the lot. Once inside, the room was extremely spacious and quite impressively modern looking. The owner showed us around the room and turned our TV and AC on both of which seemed to work exceptionally. The beds were extremely comfy, although I must say the pillow cases can feel a little "weird" for the first little bit, but nothing too bothersome. The WIFI worked great during our stay. The guesthouse is located centrally in the town and only a couple hundred meters from the nearest 7/11 and Trucks (30 Baht) to Old Sukhothai. The grounds are undergoing some construction, which didn't bother me at all to see they are making improvements to their already pretty courtyard. There was only one small mishap with the room, which the owner quickly took care of and more then compensated for in the end. Overall, the hotel was amazing for the price, and I highly suggest you stay here if you happen to make a stop in Sukhothai.

Great location”

We stayed 5 nights in the family suite (2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) during December. The location is fantastic, just down a small soi off the main road, with only a 100m walk to some decent bars, restaurants and morning fresh food markets, and a stones throw from the bridge that leads over to the night food markets and street food vendors. The guesthouse is relatively new, but already starting to show some signs of wear and tear. The pool was a nice temperature, but had tiles coming away which wasn't a huge problem and actually gave our kids something to do (collect the colourful tiles off the floor of the pool). The gardens could do with some weeding and care. The rooms towards the back of the complex (surrounding the pool) looked to have lovely surrounds, however the family suite is located at the front near the reception, and the sitting area outside is unkept and falling apart. The rooms are actually quite big and work well for a family, with 2 large bedrooms on either side of a lounge area. There is a small fridge in the room which stays on when the power cuts out (power goes out when you leave the room and take the key), and the aircon works well and is quiet. We didn't eat there for an evening meal, but both the Thai and Western breakfasts were decent and standard price for the area. The owner, while other reviews have mentioned that he seems disinterested, was actually very helpful with arranging tours, transport and providing information. I think that, rather than being disinterested, he's just quiet and calm - he was always polite and up front with us, and very helpful with all our needs. I'd definitely recommend Foresto as somewhere to stay in Sukhothai, for the location especially, if not for the lovely pool and decent rooms.

Great place in Sukhothai”

One of the best hotel in new Sukhothai city. Based on the new city is small and boring - the location of Foresto is great, maximum centered, all you need will be near in few steps. Bus station - about 2 km.

very contemporary room ”

Although not on the high-street foresto is very central. Bus stop to old sukhothai is nearby and is very cheap Also several restaurants and bars. The meals are very good. Especially the soups. Very attentive staff. We would highly recommend this hotel. After a day at the temples the small swimming pool looks a treat

Great service,value and location”

From the moment we arrived till departure 3 days later, nothing was a problem. The rooms were modern extremely clean and comfortable. I could not not recommend this establishment more highly. Foresto is close to everything you will need to make your stay in Sukhothai a memorable experience.

Our standard room was huge, well equipped & very confortable. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Excellent value for money - would not hesitate to recommend Foresto, or indeed stay here again if I was in Sukhothai.

Stunning rooms”

Great service from the staff there, they bent over backwards to help us and get taxis etc. rooms , compared to general hotels were stunning, well furnished and considering this was close to new town centre it was peacefull and quiet. There is not much to do in Sukhothai new town, and having this little oasis with nice outdoor patio to have late night drink was great. Food is average to be honest, but not much choice in this place. If they i proved the food this would be the best place in town by far Overall a fantastic place to spend a night, or two while in Sukhothai. THANK YOU

Superb value for money”

Nothing to complain about this accommodation. The only small thing would be the mosquitoes, but a traveller to the Thai countryside should be prepared for that! The room comes with everything you need and the rooms - more like private bungalows - are really nice. The restaurant is also quite good, with a great selection of Thai dishes and drinks. The bus to the old city leaves from a stop, which is about 5-min away (30 bt, 20-30 mins). The communal can from Sukhothai airport (180 bt, 45 mins) can drop you off right at the foresto. Highly recommended!

Best place to stay in new Sukhothai”

Have stayed here several times and things are only getting better. They now have a new pool and have added to their gardens as well. Rooms remain well maintained, spotlessly clean, roomy and with very comfy beds. The owner has put an effort into design and giving the rooms some culture and character. Together with delicious food in their restaurant and genuinely warm and helpful service at this family run business, we highly recommend them as hands down the best place to stay in Sukhothai city.

Value to money, room is cleaned”

Overall is good. Some difficulty on check in since room was not ready once I arrived, but it was not a big deal. There is Italian restaurant (same owner as hotel) in front, taste is not too bad. Price is reasonable. If I come to Sukhothai again, this hotel is definitely on my list.

Nice guesthome in Sukhothai city”

We had a great stay at the guesthome. Nice room, friendly staff, good breakfast. We enjoyed the bicycling eco-tour of the historical parc of Sukhothai.
