There are few Resorts in Nagarkot and the Manla Resort is best out of them in terms of view from the Resort, price, cleanliness and the staff. If you visit Nagarkot, Everest Manla is the place to stay.

Good place but harder to reach the number given”
We liked the place because of it’s location for sunrise view. However, the contact person was very hard to reach. Our taxi driver attempted several calls to get directions but he wasn’t receiving. Another thing that bothered me that he insisted us to stay in the market area in downhill although I particularly told him i chose this place for it’s view. Inside the resort the staffs were friendly and helpful. The veranda was not clean. Rest is okay.

Staff Behaviour ”
I found the staffs were too gentle, helpful and caring. They tried their best to help us make our honeymoon trip memorable. Specifically Prakash Timilsina, I really loved his assistance during my trip. No matter what he was always there to help us and ready to fulfill any requirements. Next time I would love to be there again. Really love it. Specially Prakash, such a great person. I really felt bad while leaving today morning.

Not good enough ”
Only positive is the view and food. Room is not clean enough. There was a big spider in the bathroom and ants on the bed. There was no hot water, no closet or hanger for clothes. The staffs are not professional enough. We had to ask for water and welcome drinks which was included with the booking.

Their cleanliness is something to be questioned. Staff has poor communication skills. The view is amazing.

One night stay in Everest Manla”
Everest Manla has the potential to be an eco resort in Nargakot but it’s not quite there yet. It is about 3km away from the main nargakot town. You can either hike or take a taxi up. We got there around 4pm, welcome drinks were given and then we were taken to our rooms. The room does need a slight refurbishment. Some of the wooden floor planks were damaged and covered up by other furnitures. Toilets/ showers were very basic and we weren’t told there was no hot water so we had cold showers instead. Didn’t bother making a scene as we were only staying for a night (Minus points here). Dinner was acceptable but they do charge service and VAT. There are some local cafes or restaurants around. They prepared a bonfire as well after dinner, which was nice. Breakfast was good, we were allowed second serving of eggs. The view point is only a short hike away. We didn’t get to see the sunrise but apparently it is very nice in dec to feb. Everest Manla is very high up on the hill and I can see why it will have a good view. Otherwise, I would come again if Everest manla does a little refurbishment to their facilities and rooms.

We are located in a secluded location inside the forests which gives us a great opportunity to make it as a eco resort. As we are new management, we are still working in the planning phase which might take some time to do the design and implementation. Regarding your complaint about the flooring and hot shower is concerned, we are serious about it and we are repairing it very soon so that there won't be any problem of damaged floor plants. in the meantime, we are glad to inform you that we have installed 24 hour hot shower in our bathroom so there won't be any problems about hot shower. hope you will givev us another opportunity to impress you in your next visit. best regards, caron

The resort is located at a scenic location where you can see sunrise and the mountain range. If you go by foot, it is a good 45 min uphill walk from the bus stop. Hot shower in my room was OK, although I heard some complained about this in their rooms. I guess it depends on your luck, which room that you get. They have a platform where you can sit outside to enjoy the view. Generally, it is a good place to stay.

We are the highest located resort in the whole nagarkot as we are located near the nagarkot view point with the best views , so, it is quite a distance from nagarkot bus stop if you are coming in a local bus as we are in the secluded location, 3 km from nagarkot bus stop. I am gonna give you both the pros and cons, this place has excellent view, if the weather is clear you can see Everest from here, problem is if you are like me and prioritize cleanliness you are gonna be disappointed. Other not so important thing is - not much food choice.

Had a nice stay. One can stay there for the view from the hotel. Staffs are very friendly. There is no extension phone in the room which made us difficult to communicate. Food quality needs to be improved.
