Review for Dusit Buncha”
The Dusit Buncha Resort on Koh Tao was a fabulous find through agoda. The Sea View Villa's are stunning and worth the extra money. The staff @ the resort went out of their way to make sure my family & I were well taken care of. All of Ah's recommendations were top notch, from the diving school to scooter shop. The food at the resort is right up there with all the fabulous food on Koh Tao. The resort is still under some finishing touches such as stone work on walk ways and such, this did not bother us. However you must be in decent shape to walk up and down the steep pathways from rooms to lobby and dining areas plus a super steep hill to get out of the resort it self. Over all a most enjoyable stay.

Beautifully Terraced Hotel”
My boyfriend and I stayed at Dusit Buncha Resort over New Years. Our stay was not only relaxing but also fun. Before even getting to the resort I emailed them regarding a shuttle from the pier to the resort along with a few other questions. The staff responded promptly and were very helpful with answering all my questions. If you arrange a shuttle they will wait on the pier for you and take you back to the resort. I recommend this since otherwise to get to the hotel you will spend between 300 and 500 baht. The resort is a little out of the way which I find to be a plus. You can easily rent a bike, atv, or take a taxi into Sairee beach where there is great nightlife, restaurants, and spas. The resort also provides a shuttle to Sairee beach at 8:30, 9:30, and 1:30. My boyfriend and I went in everyday either by taxi and shuttle but we loved the out of the way location for a calm relaxing setting. When we arrived at the resort about 5 hours earlier than check-in time. We went to the pool and though it is a smaller pool the area was nice and there was only one other couple there. We relaxed for an hour then went to grab a bite at the restaurant which was right next to the pool. They did also have a pool bar, however, since we were their during the "off season" they didn't have all the bars open, only the one at the restaurant was open. The lobby informed us that they had done up our room early and we were able to check in 3 hours early. That was a plus! Then we took the shuttle into Sairee beach. We booked the Superior Villa Seaview which was lovely and clean. There are three small buildings to this villa. A bigger bedroom, a pavilion to suntan or relax in, and a separated bathroom. It was a great place and we would book this option again! There was also a balcony outside the pavilion so you can move the chairs out and enjoy a drink and the ocean view.

Brilliant resort on a beautiful island”
As far as Thai organisation goes, Dusit Buncha Resort is as good as it gets. We were picked up directly from the main pier at Mae Haad by a manager and the resort 4x4 taxis, and taken straight to the resort. Throughout our stay at Dusit Buncha, the staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help in whatever way they could. The only draw-back I could foresee would be the very steep hill on which the resort is located. We didn't mind the climb up the hill to our villa (it kept us fit during our holiday!!) but an elderly or disabled person would probably have trouble staying at this resort. In terms of value for money, I would say that we were very satisfied, the included breakfast had a vast array of foods to choose from and the location of the restaurant is at the viewpoint restaurant with a fantastic view of koh Nangyuan, and the villas were of a very high quality. I have nothing negative to say as this resort and I would recommend this place to anybody looking for an incredibly relaxed, family friendly place to stay, in beautiful surroundings.

Amazing hotel, feels like your own little world.”
We had an amazing stay at the Dusit Buncha Resort. First of all, you should know that this hotel is a little bit isolated but Ko Tao is such a small island and the hotel provides free rides to the town at certain times (and a discounted rate for other times) so you never have to feel far away. Second, the fact that this hotel is isolated, I think works in its favor. Ko Tao is a touristy island so its nice to feel a little bit away from the crowds. Third, this hotel has a place to snorkel that is right on the hotel and makes for some very clear and beautiful snorkeling. Another thing is the amazing view you have of Nangyuan island. Finally, the rooms are very clean, big and offer a fantastic, romantic view. When you combine this with friendly staff, this hotel is hard to beat.

Nice Hotel in naturally surroundings ”
We really loved Dusit Buncha located north west on Koh Tao away from The sea and garden view Bungalows are located uphill but in very nice naturally surroundings between rocks and trees nice integrated into the beautiful rocky nature of this Island and which becomes obvious in this area (which it is not when staying at the busy main beaches Sairee and Mae Haad). Even though we had a garden view bungalow the view from the terrace was very good. The Bungalows are very nice and cosy with lots of space. The staff is very nice and helpful. Just in front of the restaurant and the nice pool beside the restaurant Koh Nang Yuan is located. There is no real beach connected to the hotel but for snorkeling its ok if the weather is not to rough so water is quiet. The hotel is located away from other restaurants and shops outside but Sairee Beach can be reached by 15/20 minutes walk.

A restful stay in Koh Tao”
We stayed for 6 nights at the Dusit Buncha resort. The villas are really different. They are built on the hillside and the bathrooms are built around stone boulders. There is a lovely swimming pool. The reception staff are very helpful. They arranged onward transport to Koh Samui including Taxi,ferry,hotel and flight for us. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel did have a taxi transfer into town at 50 bahts per person each way but they did not operate this service late at night. We therefore had to take a local taxi back and this cost 300 bahts.

Fantastic Private Villa!”
Okay, this was a total gem on Ko Tao. It's north of Sairee Beach, but not too far - easily accessible by scooter (the roads on Ko Tao are pretty bad, so drive carefully!) It's a total Paradise that's off the beaten path, but in a good way! The villas are gorgeous, large, and clean, great A/C (you'll need it), and spectacular views from the villa! Simply walk down the stairs to the ocean - the clearest water on the Island is right here! Excellent snorkling. The restaurant is OK - nothing spectacular - you are better off exploring the island for amazing local food (at a fraction of the price). The pool is sweet, layout is super-cool, we'd definitely come back to stay again. Only real downside besides the breakfast is the occasional smell that leaks out of the sewer lines, BUT that can happen anywhere in Ko Tao (or Samui) no matter HOW nice the place is! Buy some incense to burn & problem solved! I would recommend Dusit Buncha to anyone looking for a sweet Villa at a fair price with stunning location.

Romantic Resort”
My first time at Koh tao and I choosed Dusit Buncha because I like to see sun set and I impressed that at Dusit Buncha, you can see a beautiful sunset and you can see Koh Nang Yuan. Also at the resort's restuarant, food is nice and room is very comfortable includes WiFi. I think Dusit Buncha is very suit for a couple to enjoy the sea and great view. I'll come to Dusit Buncha resort again for sure. love it

the dusit buncha is a place to be seen to truly appreciate. i loved how the hotel incorporated nature into its design. i didn't know that koh tao can be hilly, which gives one a postcard view, but also requires some steep walking. having a suite up the hill though is worth the climb when sitting out on the deck. the owners and staff truly want to make your visit enjoyable.

Dusit Buncha resort”
We spent 9 days of our honeymoon at Dusit Buncha resort, and was upgraded from a deluxe villa seaside to romantic villa seaside, which was really nice and had a great view of Nanguan island. The staff is very friendly, both in the reception and the restaurant. The location is great if you want to relax and be away from the more busy Sairee beach. But since it's a bit far from town the best way to get around is to rent a motorbike. There is no beach, but it's still no problem to go swimming, and there are lots of beautiful corals, so great for snorkeling.

Nice View - no beach”
The Dusit Buncha Ressort we booked shortly because we dont like to stay longer in Koh Phangan because it is so touristic. Nice View and nice service. The infinity pool infront of the island is amazing. We were warmly surprised by arriving Koh Tao that all the hotels picking up there guests for gratis. The Dusit surprised us because they really made the best of its mountain area ground. You find a lot of different floors, all with a amazing view into the sunset. You should choose this hotel only if you are able to climb up ( and down ) a lot of stairs. It was clean and sufficent furnitured, breakfast was good. About the location a scooter is recommended. for 65 $ a night absolutely recommanded

Beautiful resort”
Our stay at Dusit Buncha Resort was great. Although we did have some issues with our outdoor tub in the paradise villa, the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs and reimbursed us for the issue. The views from our room could not have been better. We were right next to the water. We also enjoyed dinner on the private Rock, the sunset is unbeatable and would definitely recommend eating up there. The infinity pools are also stunning.

We had a fantastic time at Dusit Buncha, the hotel is unique, set among massive rocks right on the edge of the sea. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the environment was very relaxing and peaceful. We extended our stay twice staying in 3 different rooms, all were great. Steep climbs around resort and lots of fish to see snorkelling off the rocks.Thanks Dusit Buncha :0)

Fantastic hotel, amazing view and friendly staff!”
a friend and myself originally planned to stay at dusit buncha for 5 days and ended up extending our stay for 3 weeks as we loved it so much. it's an incredibly chilled out environment with great views of koh nang yuan and the sunset each evening. the staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating and though it is a bit further out from sairee but there is a taxi service from the hotel that is much cheaper than the local rates. i would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere picturesque and relaxing to recharge.

Beautiful hotel with great service”
I really enjoyed my stay at Dusit Bauncha. The room was huge and looks exactly like advertised. The resort is beautifully set amoungst the boulders and forest but there are alot of stairs to climb-which is maybe a good thing consierding how much you eat at the restaurant (very well priced). All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Management speaks good english. I was very impressed with the assistance i got organising my onward transport from Koh Tao to Phuket. The manager checked in with me at every stage of my journey to make sure I was ok.

Lovely stay at Dusit Buncha”
We enjoyed our stay at Dusit Buncha which was at the end of our holiday travelling in Thailand. The location, 1.5km away from the hustle and bustle of Sairee was great and the driving service to and from Town was handy. Snorkelling at the resort was as good if not better than around Koh Tao. Food and drinks were western prices. Staff were friendly and helpful particularly guest services manager, Pha.

beautiful koh tao and lovely unique rooms”
my bathroom was a separate building along a path from my room - all fenced - which made it tough during the night if i had to use the washroom. my room was upgraded to a sea view which was great but due considering the resort mix up that i was first given the paradise villa in error. the maids folded my clothes one day which was special. for my age group (25 ish), dusit buncha is far (5 min cab ride) from all lively nightlife in saree. still, a gorgeous place which takes your breath away.

Fantastic view”
Phenomenal view. You can see Nang Yaug island from the hotel and sunset as well. I really like infinity pool. I can hang out there all day long. Staying this hotel worth every pennies I spent. I stayed this hotel with my big family, 8 people. They grouped us to stay in same area, walkable distance. Each room is like a house, bedroom with nice big balcony. This hotel is on the hill, so not recommend for elders or people who have problem walking problem. They offered us breakfast too. Breakfast selection was fantastic. The only one thing I don't like about this hotel was overprice restaurant. Since it's on the hill, you will not able to get out to other places yourself. You have to call for the taxi, 100 bath each, which I think it's to expensive for a taxi. So we ate in the hotel which is really expensive. We brought wine and whiskey and we have to pay for opening alcohol.( I stayed at the other place on Koh tao a few days before moved to this hotel, They didn't charge for alcohol opening. None of restaurant besides Dusit Buncha did)

Fantastic resort, awesome views!!!”
A fantastic resort! We absolutely loved our time here. The rooms are built into the rocks and parts of huge boulders are visible in the walls of the rooms. The resort looks across to Nangyuan Island and is a short boat trip away from this georgous trio of islands which have great areas for scuba and snorkelling. The staff were brilliant and created a very friendly atmosphere which almost felt like it was a small family-run place when it is actually a well-run larger resort. The food was very good and reasonably priced. A short drive from the resort into the main area of Koh Tao would cost 200 THB if you want to visit the various bars and restaurants. I would strongly recommend this resort, especially as it is far easier to reach than some of the other resorts on the island. Some taxi drivers will not drive on the 'roads' to a few of the top resorts.
