Staying at a Dormy Inn is always our family's first choice in Japan. Even though it's a full service business hotel, it is well suited as well for families thanks to its facilities and amenities. The rooms are spacious enough for short stays and the beds are comfortable. The spa bath and sauna are always great and the free ice cream afterwards a delight especially for kids. Relax after a hot bath in their manga library with free massage chairs and then enjoy their free ramen service at 9pm. The hotel is a quick walk to JR and Keiyu Kawasaki stations meaning an easy jaunt over to Haneda airport. There are also quite a few dining options around the hotel including highly rated Chinese restaurants. My only negatives is that in recent years the cost of staying at Dormy has increased (but this is probably true for most hotels in the current tourist boom). The service from staff can also vary. All in all Dormy Inn Kawasaki is highly recommended!

The hotel is super central, 10 min walk from the metro station, it's sparkling clean and with a very nice touch of modern minimalist architecture. The hot springs are fabulous, they are on the top floor with a great view and the water leave you super relaxed and your skin feeling super smooth, there is also a sauna, a cold plunge and a lovely terrace outside to chill. There are a lot of complimentary perks like popsicles and soups, the staff is super kind and overall you get a very welcoming sense. Downstairs there is everything you need, plenty of shops and restaurants at hand. If you have tattoos you can still use the hot springs if you ask for some plasters to cover. Overall highly recommended and will definitely come back! : )

I originally booked Dormy Inn Kawasaki because it was both decently close to the airport and decently priced, and the hot spring was just a bonus. Little did I know that the experience would make my trip so healing and refreshing. If you want to make the most of your stay, use the hot spring facilities every day. After hours of walking during the day, I found the hot spring could totally refresh me so that I was ready to go again the next day. The breakfast is also delicious if you like sashimi bowls and Japanese side dishes. It might be a little pricey, but if you eat two sashimi bowls it immediately becomes worth the price. I'm not sure I would get it if you're just into western breakfast. Some other benefits are free washing machines (wash your clothes anytime you like!) and inexpensive clothes dryers. The hotel is marvelously clean and the staff are all very professional and kind. The location is quite convenient to Kawasaki station, which is really easy to use to go downtown. Overall, I loved my experience here, and I think I will make it a yearly tradition to stay a week or so to decompress.

For those looking for a place to stay in the city with a great bath house, this is a great choice. Bath is open to hotel guests throughout the night to 10am. A small onsen tax is required. Resting area outside offers complimentary popsicles, massage chairs and a nice city view. Breakfast buffet was amazing for the price. There is also complimentary half size ramen nightly. Rooms are clean and staffs are friendly and very helpful. I lost my glasses on the last evening of my stay, and the staff promptly found and returned it the next morning. Hotel is 10-15min walk from keikyu-kawasaki station. The area is full of izakaya, ramen shops and other restaurants. There's also a 7-eleven attached to the building with other small groceries stores nearby. I highly recommend for those looking for a cheap stay with a great bath.
Quiet onsen hotel! ”
What a deal! If you are comfortable taking the trains, this quiet inn tucked away between Yokohama and downtown Tokyo is the perfect spot for solo travelers to crash. Onsen access 24/7 comes with your room. I did not use the in room shower. If I was starting late that day I would go to the onsen to do my showering and bathing before heading out; and jumping in the onsen after a full day of running around the city or a fun night out was a perfect way to end the night. Cleanings and breakfast didn’t come with my room package; though you can opt into that if you’d like: I personally did not need it, I saved my appetite for an amazing food spot somewhere in the city. And I was hardly in the room (and like stated previously I only bathed in the onsen) so cleaning wasn’t needed for my 3 night stay. If I have a short stay in Tokyo I would book this again. I highly recommend for any kind of traveler (train is about 45 mins to downtown Tokyo areas, but it’s super easy just follow google maps train instructions and nap on the way there)
