Central Location & Unique”
Very local unique hotel done up in the minority Dong people style and central location very close to the Wind Rain Bridge. A short walk will bring you to the Drum Tower as well and the performances. Lovely surrounds and with rice paddy fields facing the hotel and a great view to chill out looking out from the room balcony. Food is lovely and local in flavour. Will recommend strongly to anyone who wants to visit Chengyang to experience the local culture and see the sights.

Really nice hotel. Very well located. The village is so nice and I highly recommend to take the time to visit the surroundings. The hotel owner was quite helpful on arranging the arriving and the departure to the rice terraces

Lovely place to stay ”
The day I arrived, there had been a landslide behind the hotel and there was no water for a while but it was soon fixed. Michael took myself and s family of 4 on a hike around the villages and rice fields stopping for lunch with a local family. It was well worth the money and it meant that we got to see places we would never otherwise have reached

Amazing hotel”
This is one of several hotels in the eight-village cluster. It was the most pleasant surprise of the trip. The hallways has screens so were slightly open to the elements. The rooms had GREAT air conditioners, the most comfortable mattresses we had the entire trip, new flooring, nice bathrooms, big rooms, etc. The attached restaurant (without AC) was incredibly delicious. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Great place to stay and visit villages”
Great Dong-style building with comfortable, clean room (bed on softer side for China, nice balcony, definitely nicer than a hostel but not luxurious). In an amazing location, close walking distance to wind-and-rain bridge and the Dong villages. The owner spoke English was very helpful in arranging our transportation both ways from the train station. The food was some of the best we had in China!

Amazing Dong Village experience”
Our stay was awesome and a real big adventure for us. We appreciated that Michael the owner was able to speak english and gave us lots of advice and took us walking through villages one day. Michael organised a very good driver to collect us from Guilin and then take us to Yangshou...the driver was very careful on the chaotic roads.
