Where to stay in Daegu Central Area
Daegu Central Area hotels & accommodations
we changed hotels in daegu - before we were at the exco, which was completely out of the way, when we moved to the eldis regent, it was so nice to be close to downtown, to one of the markets as well as other attractions and shopping. this hotel's selling point is location, location, location. the knowledge of english of the staff was not great, but they were smiling an...
Fantastic location. Only a few minutes' walk from the main shopping area, restaurants and cafes and the Oriental Medicine Museum and market. We really liked the room design and décor. Beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a huge variety, including a good selection of fresh fruit, something which is often in short supply in other hotels in ...
We have stayed at this hotel many times. We love it. Sadly it was booked recently and we had to stay at another hotel in Daegu - it made us appreciate Sono even more. The staff is friendly and hard working. The rooms are cute, clean, and comfy. The hotel is near the metro and lots of places to eat and enjoy. We highly recommend!
One of the best hotels I have stayed in South Korea. Perfect location - situated right in shopping, restuarant area with subway a few minutes walk. Excellent facilities like cool Android phone chargers provided, lots of room, cool TV, etc. Highly recommended in Daegu. Pay bit more but very much worth it.
The hotel is a 2min walk from Daegu station. The room is amazing. Beautiful decor, great hot tub, huge TV. Perfect for a couple. We will definitely visit again
This is first time stay over at Daegu. The staff is very helpful and speak English well. The bed is comfortable and the room is fairly large. Everything is really clean and modern looking. The bathtub is big and great for a relaxing soak. This hotel is close to two different stations and many shopping areas.” Good for business as well as individual traveler
I stayed here for 2 weeks. Location wise - it is great. Less than 200 meters from the nearest train station; screen golf/baseball right next door; various restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Catholic church 400 meters away. Good neighborhood to jog around. Another plus - visiting baseball teams playing against the Daegu team stayed at the hotel while I was there (mid...
In Seoul we went to a guesthouse so it felt like heaven when we entered this hotel in Daegu. The rooms were really luxurious and had everything you needed: BIG TV, cozy beds, clean bathroom, airconditioning and even a PC! Daegu station is just 1 minute away from the hotel which is great because there isn't much around the hotel area. The staff of the hotel is r...
I had a really good stay here. Great location in the middle of Daegu with many things around the corner or within walking distance. The beds are soft, I repeat, the beds are SOFT. Everything is clean and there are plenty of toilets and showers. The free breakfast includes eggs, toast, bagels, juice and peanut butter and jam +more. The staff are friendly and all speak g...
A place to stay that thinks of all the smallest details. I was surprised to find both a hair dryer and straightener. Staff was nice.
the hotel was minutes walk from a nice park which had an excellent library in the grounds. it was also within easy walking distance to the metro and daegu station, there was also a bus stop about 10 minutes walk away where you can catch a local bus to the mountain area. the area was very quiet at night which would suit singles or couples not after clubs/bars. the main...
I booked at this location because I wanted to stay at a hanok-style hotel, but for a good price. It was a little expensive for me, just because I was on my own, but if you're traveling with another person and can split the room cost I doubt you could find a better deal. The hotel has nicely upgraded modern facilities (like the bathroom and kitchen) while still feeling ...
I've stayed in the hotel/hostel multiple times and am always satisfied. If I go to Dageu again, which will probably be never honestly cause the city is boring, I may stay here. It's one of the best places in Daegu honestly.
Stayed here overnight November 2018, it was a last-minute booking. I was not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised by the location, decor, room amenities, and free breakfast. My stay was somewhat ironic in that the hotel location is right in the same building and floor of a language school I worked at ten years ago. Buffet breakfast was OK, however I would mak...
First of all the place was really difficult to find and for some weird reason google map could not locate it, so I had to ask shop owners from around the place for the location. The sign for the guesthouse is really small (quiet easy to miss if you're not looking) and the guesthouse itself is on the 3rd floor of the building. I only stayed there for a night and from ...
The Guesthouse is only a couple of minutes of walk from the subway station and the downtown area, making it a very convenient place for sightseeing/traveling. The price is cheap but the atmosphere of the place definitely wasn't cheap at all! The best part is the very helpful staffs. They helped with everything from recommending places to eat to sightseeing, to just ge...
The Hanok & Spa was really difficult to find because actually, its also associated/under the same owner as "The Style" hostel. On naver maps they listed the Hanok & Spa as being in the same location as the style. I didn't know the 2 were associated, so I was walking around at night aimlessly. By chance I decided to go into the style and ask for directions--apparently C...
I was in Daegu for a conference and the location from The Style to the conference locations were 10-15 minutes walking. Access to public transportation was also very easy. The staff at The Style were very kind and helpful and always greeted you with a smile. My bed was large and comfortable, all the basic amenities one might need was provided for, they even gave us a s...
The staff here are very friendly and eager to help you out whenever you have any problems. Though the place is somewhere around the quiet street, but it is very convenient and near to tourist destinations. Overall, the place is clean and comfortable. Would recommend this place if you're looking for a place to stay at Daegu!
Nice place but uneasy to access, probably make more suggestion of routes for travelers who doesn't know about daegu city at all. :)
In Dec 2016, I have stayed at Onna for 5 nights that was definitely a great deal!!! :))) I traveled alone and came from Hong Kong. I have been Korea for 4 times. I stayed and experienced almost 10 guesthouses in Korea before and I highly recommend Onna for anyone who travels in Daegu, no matter how long you stay, it's absolutely your choice! The location is 15 mins ...
Crystal Hotel was an excellent choice. After arriving late at night, the hotel was immediately outside of Bangogae Subway Station. This also made it easy to get around the city as most other sights, restaurants, etc. are less than 3 stops away on either side of Bangogae. The hotel staff spoke limited English, but they were very helpful when at all possible. I would...
The staff here are as friendly as you will ever meet. They made my stay in Daegu so much better! The hostel is clean, centrally located and has amazingly quick internet.
The place I usually stay at in Daegu was sold out, so I figured I would give this one a try. Great room and facilities. Everything was clean, and I had an excellent sleep. I know my way around the city, so I thought the location was great. Not too far of a walk downtown, and you're next to one of the traditional markets.
The Good: The best thing about this guesthouse is that it's located in the center of downtown. You can walk to many of the main attractions. Also, it's on the Daegu Tourist map. The host is very friendly also speaks very decent English and can help you with attractions. The Bad: This place is a bit hard to find and Taxi's won't go down it's street. It's also on the ...
I had a delightful stay at the Mama Guesthouse. The house is in a quiet neighborhood; the room, although a little tightly-packed with beds, was well-kept; and the hostess was very sweet. She speaks only a little English, but if she needs to she pulls out her smart phone and uses a translator. The bathroom facilities are adequate, though I couldn’t figure out how to wor...
Nice hanok-style housing. I just visited Daegu for a day trip so I needed a low-key place to sleep for one night a prime location and this place did the job. The owner and the young lady were friendly and attentive. You also meet some interesting people within Korea as well as other foreigners.
The location is really good, just 2 stops away from Banwoldang, where you have all your expat hangouts, such as Thursday Party, Bombay, M-F, Who's Bob... Also a 30 minutes walk to the Daegu train station and bus terminal (you could also take the local bus, or the subway). Got everything i needed at the front desk, in a little kit, toothbrushes, razor etc.
simple motel and cheap.. but far away from the subway station.. i had a good sleep and tbe room was clean too..

Our stay at 2x Hotel was what I expected. The hotel is in a nice central location of Daegu city, about a 3 dollar taxi ride to downtown. There were two computers in our room with internet and a large TV. The only negative thing was the Jacuzzi bath tub in the bathroom was broken. We were looking forward to letting our daughter splash around with the jets on, but th...
