The Hotel is centrally located in the ciy, so you have shops and restaurants to eat. 7/11 and pressbyran shops are nearby. Just walk for 10 mins and you will get into the busy market. Within walking distance of the Metro & Gamla Stan. Had a view of Stockholm waterways and looked towards the Tivoli. Beautifully presented room, however was onee of the smallest we had stayed in during our time in Denmark, Nowary & Sweden. Buffet breakfast was fabulous Staff were very accomodating & helpful

The hotel is located very near Central station which is a plus point for me as we are arriving and departing via rail to other parts of sweden. It is also within walking distance to the shopping area and old town. The room is ok...but the receptionist is great. They were very kind to allow us to check into one of the rooms early and even grant us a late checkout upo...

I stayed in a business class room, which is the size of the average Australian hotel, so this would makes it large by Sweden's standards. Wireless internet was fast and easy to connect, the room had an Iron and trouser press ( both a rarity in this part of the world)so that was great. Breakfast was the best I have experienced in any part of Sweden and if you cannot fin...

Decent hotel, but for a 4 star you’d think they would include a better than industrial public bathroom toilet paper. Also, technically a/c was on and working, but it just felt like it was just a fan blowing some air around. It wasn’t too hot outside though, so it was ok. Otherwise the room and bathroom were great. Large room and a huge shower. Breakfast was great. G...

We had the most fun stay and loved this place. I read tonnes of reviews before going so knew that the room would be small and prepared my husband for it. Although it was small, it was different for us to be in such a place and we had a lot of fun there and really enjoyed it. The staff were all helpful and friendly and the place was clean. Vanilla latte in the coffee ho...

We couldn't be happier with our 1 night stay here. The staff was extremely accommodating when we arrived early from a long flight, so we got the room in the morning. This was the best thing that could happen to us, as we could have a nap in the best bed in the world, before heading out to see the city. Rooms are just excellent, there is absolutely nothing that wasn't g...

We stayed for two nights and would have no hesitation in staying again as the whole experience was excellent. I would also say how impressed I was with all the star facilities foe example the bikes for hire and the ginger shots before breakfast all extras which in my experience Is something very different , well done . If I had one criticism I felt the evening meal...

They have a lot of amenity; free coffee or tea, sauna, free tour or service something. 10minuite to walk from central bus terminal. And everyday changed entrance password so safety, especially they have free pasta to eat is good to us in expensive sweden.

The Birger Jarl Hotel is centrally located within the city of Stockholm Sweden. Just a short walk away are many tourist attractions including ther main shopping precinct and wonderful restaurants. The Hotel is clean and is excellent value for money. The buffet breakfast is fantastic and provides a wide range of items that would satisfy everyone. On the top floor the...

Stockholm is expensive, so I booked this as the best somewhat affordably option with a central location. Right on top of the main station for the metro and across the road from the airport train (Arlanda Express), and 5-10 minutes walk from Gamla Stan (old city). Plenty of nearby restaurants to chose from. The property is aged but well maintained. The included breakfa...

Main reason I stayed here was the exorbitant hotel prices in Copenhagen at 3x to 5x what I can get in Malmo just pushes me to Stay in Malmo. On Jun 19th 2019, not sure why but almost all hotels were fully booked thus even zero star hotels cost an arm and leg. Prices in Malmo was a steal and open future possibilities to me to explore staying in Malmo rather than Copenh...

The location was great - just a few minutes walk to the tramstop The staff at the front desk is not very accommodating. We informed the hotel in our booking that we would arrive around 11.00 am. When we arrived at the hotel, we were to told that the check in was after 15.00 o'çlock. We asked if we could leave our things in a storage and that was ok. When we got in th...

A great choice when in need of a hotel close to Arlanda airport. Yellow buses, P3 Alfa, leaves every 10-15 minutes just outside every terminal at Arlanda, no cost. In 10 minutes you are ready to check in at the hotel. Big newly renovated room, great working space, excellent lighting, great bed and beautiful bathroom with shower. Minibar with fair prices. The included b...

We booked room 6 to fit us and our two small children. Although booking with shared bathroom, I never felt like the bathroom was busy. I had some doubts about the breakfast, given that previous reviews promised so but the canteen seemed kind of simple at first sight, but I was gladly surprised! :) Best of all, some of the breakfast stuff were open for guests to take t...

We have stayed at many places around the world and Hotel Rival is one that we would come back to. Beautifully planned rooms, whistle clean, great food and cocktails and a staff that is focused on their guests. The location of the hotel is a bit away from the tourist attractions but a short walk to the underground brings the whole city to your feet. The concierge, Shaw...

We had a 4 night stay at Hotel Tegnerlunden which in Stockholm. The hotel was well priced for the being so close to the centre of the city and Sweden is generally an expensive country. We arrived at the central station and walked to the hotel, took around 10 minutes and was easy to find. We arrived several hours early hoping to leave our bags before going exploring....

I liked the hotel. I really did. It had a lot of personality, it was very quiet, and the location was pretty good (close to a mall and a subway stop, about 20 minutes from Skansen and about 30 minutes from Gamla Stan). There were a few issues however. First of all, the room itself was rather small. No room even to walk around. Second, no air-conditioner or refrigerator...

The hotel was easy to find, close to the rail station in a leafy suburb with some shops right at the station. Their was also some restaurants close by. The hotel room had a small kitchen and all utensils to prepare a meal from ingredients bought at the local store. The beds were comfortable, the windows could open and the view from the 13th floor was very good as the h...
Cheap places to stay in Sweden

as an hostel in the basement, I understand why there r a couple of negative feedback up here. you need to be prepared for the feeling of getting no window view of what's going on outside, not even raining or sunshine. well money gives solution, esp with stronger and warm lighting in rooms and public area, and replace some old items in the rooms… I mean probably the mat...

I had a nice stay in the hostel. There was an extra charge for the sheets and towel, which i disliked. The wifi did not work inside the room so you had to go outside to get working signal. There were lockers for every bed which was convenient. The location was good and they have a map with cheap places to eat shop etc. The staff were excellent.

They have a lot of amenity; free coffee or tea, sauna, free tour or service something. 10minuite to walk from central bus terminal. And everyday changed entrance password so safety, especially they have free pasta to eat is good to us in expensive sweden.

This hostel is in a great location! Really close to the train/bus station, the free ferry to Aspö, the Marine Museum, etc. It's a quiet hostel, with a lot of Swedes staying there. There was a washing machine and tumble dryer that could be used for free, which was great!

served the purpose of just one night well. very friendly and helpful staff. we took our bicycles with us into the room because someone in the hallway told us, there has been thefts at night. maybe the bike storage concept needs a review. i don't know. i don't mind sleeping next to my bike.

This is actually one of my friend who stayed at the 4-mixed room. The bed were bunk beds but it's comfortable, it wasn't fulfilled with 4 persons inside the room, the room was quite big and clean. The staffs were all great and helpful. The kitchen wasn't too big but it's clean and everything was functioning really well. They had stoves, oven, 2 refrigerators, microwave...

This hostel was fairly quiet, which is good if you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay. The staff (Camilla) was excellent and really helpful. Having free bikes to use was really great, especially because the hostel is a little bit out of town. The hostel was really comfortable, clean, spacious and had all the facilities I needed.

We were traveling with our college aged son and needed a room for the night. This B&B had a room with a sleeper sofa in a separate space with a tv, which worked out great. There wasn’t a closing door between the rooms but it allowed for some privacy. A privacy curtain might be an improvement. Very clean, comfortable, modern and nicely decorated. Big bathroom with good ...

Perhaps one of the best backpacker i've stayed at. Location wise it cannot be more perfect, being a stone throw away from the central station. It's clean and it's VERY SPACIOUS, you can literally hold a yoga class for 3 in the room. I've stayed at too many backpackers where there is not even enough space to open your luggage fully. There is a nice kitchen with 2 fridge...

Good value for money. Clean, warm and comfortable rooms, fast wi-fi and beautiful natural location surrounded by forests and lakes. The gentleman who runs it is very friendly and welcoming and offered lots of useful tips on local attractions and things to do in the area. Unfortunately I could only stay for 1 night as I was just passing by on a motorbike trip, but would...

I stayed one night here when I went to Halmstad to see a concert with the Swedish band Gyllene Tider. I chose this place due to the price, but it turned out that the hostel was inside the concert venue - and from my room I actually had a full view of the whole scene and audience of the concert! However, I still chose to go inside and see the concert as my ticket alread...

A very relaxing, charming and sweet hotel where you can really recharge your batteries in a restful environment while enjoying great breakfasts, coffee throughout the day and still be in the heart of the city. Easy access to central station and city centre!

Basic price seemed to be ok as Agoda did not all the facts regarding the room. In Agoda site they say that room includes bed sheets and towels but that is not true. You have to pay for then. So actually room price will be more near real hotel not hostel as this is. And real hotel also have normally breakfast included in room. This not. I wont be coming back as there i...

We were on our Inlandsbanan trip and stayed at this pension for one night. Good location about 200 metres from Ostersund Central station , and the best is internet free of charge and very helpful staff. The room was big with the comfortable bed and that what we need after a day of sitting in a train. The bathroom was not big and a bit out of date. So this pension is r...
4-star hotels in Sweden

We stayed there for four nights at the beginning of August. It was me, my friend and her 2 year-old son. The location of this hotel is great, as it is right in the center of Stockholm right next to Central Station for metro and trains. It's also walking distance from Gamla Stan. I requested twin beds for the bedroom and they complied without a problem. During checking ...

Absolutely wonderful. We booked the most expensive(and largest)apartment expecting a few more people to stay with us. As a result we had even more room that we thought we would have. However this apartment was so large and with so many sitting and dining areas we would not have been crowded in any circumstance. Tastefully and exquisitely decorated. The Perseus is right...

The hotel personnel were not willing or knowledgeable about the area. They behaved as if they did not care. I could not find a decent place to have a meal in town and the hotel made no effort to assist me. I was lucky to find a tourist information place immediately across the street from the hotel. The staff did not provide any information other than historical. They a...

I arrived after midnight and at the counter was still a friendly woman to welcome me. At the breakfast, the restaurant doesn't look well organized. There is not much place in case the hotel is fuully booked. The bathroom is very basic and not really a 4-star standard, it should be renovated. But all together it is not a bad choice to stay there 1 or 2 nights.

The hotel is basic by international standards, but the rooms are comfortable and there is a gym/sauna/jaccuzi. Breakfast is good and the restaurant food (dinner) is excellent. Unfortunately they took no notice of my special requests in the booking and as I arrived quite late it was difficult to rectify. Best to call the hotel on the day to make sure you get what you wa...

This hotel is located in a quiet town away from the busy Stockholm City Centre. It provides a great base to explore the quiet and charming nature trails along the archipelago island.
