Brazil hotels & accommodations
I always stay this hotel
Relaxing time here on a final nights stay in Brazil before heading back home. We stayed in Copacabana for the first part of our trip and that was much better situated to see and do everything in Rio.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The food was delicious and the room was spacious with everything I needed. The view from the rooftop is spectacular at sunrise and staff is also very friendly. The hotel is at a walking distance from Copacabana beach. I would be happy to stay here again!
I have been to Rio Several Times and I stay at a hotel around the corner. By far this was a much better hotel. The staff was simply amazing and spoke English well. The rooms are modern and clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. I can not say anything bad about the hotel. In a great location. I would highly recommend to anyone. Follow me @ ...
great enjoyed the stay,,,, wish i had more days... service staff excellent,.. property has been weak maintained... breakfast wonderful
This is a beautiful hotel, with friendly staff and great facilities. The location is perfect. Beautiful, central and safe. The only issue was the WiFi which was weak and spotty a lot of the time. My husband and I had a great stay. And would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to São Paulo.
Very good location and value for the money. Breakfast is excellent!!
I really can't say enough great things about this hotel. If you have a chance to stay here, do it! The only downfall was that we only booked one night and wish we could have stayed longer. The price per night of this hotel is high, but worth every penny. It is charming and offers all the services of a five-star hotel and spa without ever being pretentious. The foo...
Verry spenced !
First time to comment on any hotel, Grand Hyatt São Paulo is great in so many ways: staff, location, the gym. However, the internet (WiFi) was not good during our stay, which could be embarrassing for business travelers. But, really appreciate all the staff that helped us to solve the WiFi issue.
I stay for 4 nights, everything went nice in this hotel. best location, nice room with sea view. overall we enjoy stay in Arena Copacabana Hotel.
Great, grat location for the New Year's evening, the fireworks were just in front of the hotel. Very kind, helpful and friendly staff, always ready to help you with anything. Gorgeous view of Copacabana and the surrounding beauties from the top of the hotel. Opulent and delicious breakfast. Most landmarks, grocery stores and gift shops are near by. Definitely will rec...
Good area. Safe to walk around. Helpful well-trained staff. Beautiful lobby. Expensive hotel and irritatingly they charge for wifi. Also charge a fine if you take and lose an umbrella! Hotel Resto in beautiful space but food not great. Not awful, just rather mediocre. Lots of good Restos in Sao Paolo so better to eat out.
Excellent location. Staff helpful, efficient and friendly. Excellent breakfast. We enjoyed ourselves very much and we will return
Good choice for people who are in early morning flight departure/transit. Hotel located at Terminal 1, no transport require, its just 10-12min walking distance to Termianl 2, ( international departure hall) There is a food court just at the same level (3rd Floor) with Rio Airport Hotel
Friendly staff and a healthy breakfast every day that’s included in your stay. Located in a great place. We walked to theEsplanada one day and went to Brasília shopping mall every day because it’s so close. Loved our trip to Brasilia!
Great location, right opposite the beach. Spotlessly clean. Good variety at breakfast, all freshly prepared. Equipped comfortable rooms and bathrooms.
For $70 a night I had a king size bed in a separate bedroom, fridge, microwave, 2 tvs, large balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean although maybe some rooms might not have the same view. It is VERY clean. The air conditioner worked great for the bedroom but if you want the whole apartment to be freezing it's not strong enough. There is a safe in the room. The brea...
Good location for a business hotel.
There is only one aspect I can be critical of at this hotel, and that is their charging an exorbitant price for wifi, this is a relic of days gone by and has no place today. All my friends staying at other hotels said they have free wifi. Otherwise, my stay there was excellent
The only good thing about this hotel is the location, it ends pretty much there! Not worth the money, room or staff behaviour. Breakfast spread is limited & it is exactly the same menu everyday morning. Staff needs a lot of training & probably a course on etiquettes & customer orientation. I was supposed to stay for the longer duration, but after my initial stay of 3 d...
We stayed in Pestana for New Years this year, and really enjoyed our stay there. The location is great - right in the middle of Copacabana beach, very good buffet breakfast with a huge selection, and really friendly staff who would try their best to accommodate everyone. The only downside is that the rooms are not modern or new. They are quite run down, so it you expec...
the hotel is within walking distance to the Centre Norte convention centre, also next to the shopping mall. it is good for exhibitor / visitors for the convention centre. the only thing need to be improved is the breakfast with limited choices.
Most of common corporate hotels are somewhat in safe segment of stay in a way. I've chosen Melia Paulista Hotel because of location but, was not sure about the service, quality, or any other informations. 1. Location is just perfect in the middle of Paulista avenue being able to be in walkable distant to all key areas; downtown, Jardine, and Penheiro...etc. Sao Paulo ...
Overall staying in this hotel was a good experience. The rooms were a bit small but clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The wifi was reliable, and the breakfast was great. I would recommend this place. Perhaps our only disappointment was when one of our friend's celphones got snatched right in front of the hotel (just a step outside the front door), the staff...
Very nice hotel, best location, many cool places around, walking distance to the parks, museums and shopping mall. Ice gym and a goof Pool with an amazing view. Love it!
The Comfortable bed & other homestyle amenities suited my independent lifestyle to a T. I only regret that the mold stained tile & ill placed toilet in the bathroom destroyed my eco-friendly sensibilities. I recommend that they be addressed by management! Otherwise, a great stay!
Cheap places to stay in Brazil
It was really nice staying at the hostel. we stayed in the private room - great room with balcony, good lighting and spacious bathroom. the hostel is pretty chilled out and quaint. It's a short walk from the main area and is pretty quiet.
It is a little hard to locate the hostel; it takes time and effort to reach it as it is on a slope. The staff are helpful and informative; some speak Engish. The dorms are not too big with 9 bunk beds. The room has big lockers to store lugguage. There are small lockers in the lounge next to the reception. You need to have your own locks for big lockers and ask for a ke...
Very cheap hostel&kind ppl
We enjoyed the central location, pool and (for once) substantial included breakfast. Wifi was good until it broke for two days and nobody seemed interested in fixing it. We also had an airport pickup arranged but nobody turned up, and the hostel didn't seem to know anything about it. Still we just got a taxi, cost us an extra $20 but not too big a deal
This is my favourite hostel I've ever stayed in. I was there quite a while, ten nights, and the staff really made me feel like part of the family. They helped me with the research I was doing in curitiba, invited me to things, and I joined in with the family dinner on Mondays. Location is good, very close to shopping curitiba, easy to get around. And pepe the dog is gr...
Geckos is a typical hostel, I've stayed in better BUT I've certainly stayed in a lot worse. It's clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly, probably some of the most helpful I've found in awhile. Breakfast is all you can eat and there's fruit, cereal, tea/coffee, bread, and ham and cheese. Far more options than most places give and again, all you can eat! The loc...
I booked the 15 people dorm on Agoda.com when i saw it was going on a very good deal. I initially had expected it to be ok for the price that I was paying but it was a lot worse than I thought.I was allocated to the room in the basement. When I saw the room, there were rubbish and personal belonging strewn on over the floor. No housekeeping for a few days maybe. What ...

The location was prime (near the Copacabana beach) and amenities such as a drug store and a supermarket were located nearby. The staff were English-speaking and really friendly, but the room was rather cramped (even for a hostel) and lacked ventilation. Not for long term stays.
It is safe, clean and very beautiful, highly recommend the place.
Positives: the house itself is great and really good organiced. stuff is very helpful, especialy Michel, who helped us finding a hospital and many other things. sometimes they turned volume down if asked politely. nice patios, balconies, places to hang around and a pool inside. breakfast is good. kitchen is very good. two computers for free use. supermarket two blocks ...
The staff are nice and the kitchen is clean!
It is your typical hostel. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen is sufficient. Location is good in terms of transportation as it is near Luz Metro(subway) and CPTM (train)station. I believe airport express bus is also nearby. The surroundings (not the hotel itself) are full of homeless people and you won't feel safe at night. Other than that it is recommended.
The hotel is fine for an overnight stay. The rooms are small but bathrooms large and very clean.
Great for solo travellers meeting new people etc. Good breakfast, comfy / clean mattresses. Always stuff going on during the day and evening. Alex at reception is a great guy, really friendly and helpful.
I enjoyed my stay at the Cosmopolitan. For a budget hostel, it offered everything necessary as a base to visit Recife and Olinda. The staff was pleasant and helpful with maps and questions. The breakfast was a lovely spread with fresh squeezed tropical juices, homemade cakes, fruit, sandwiches and breads. The grounds are set in a small garden with pet rabbits, there is ...
The hostel was not located in the historical center, but there is an easy way to go there by bus and the beaches are close by walking 30min. The hostel was absolutely clean, never saw such a clean hostel kitchen before. It ws very modern and decorated with little nice details. The stuff is helpfull, but you had to ask for it. The breakfeast was simple, but sufficient. ...
I stayed 2 nights at Maracuja and it was great! The staff is lovely, the hostel is clean and very well located : 5min from the historical center. The hostel has nice terrasse on the canal to chill and to have a nice caipirinha at sunset. I definitely recommend you to stay there!
Awful hostel. Terrible location, staff were disinterested and unhelpful, place was dirty especially the bathrooms, breakfast consisted of old bread covered with flies. Also the place was full of mosquitos which made it even more unpleasant. The worst hostel I have ever stayed in and I am well travelled.
It’s a good hostel. Cheap, clean, and close to the falls and bird park (all within walking distance). Would recommend over any of the fancy hotels downtown.
There is laundry bussiness beneath the hotel and its make the walls viberate and the back side of the hotel is very nosy because of that. Except that the hotel is high quality and the staff bery nice peaple. If you get room in the front i belive there wouldnt be nose
The couple that owns the hostel is very sweet! They don't speak English but do you know a little Spanish you can communicate a bit. Breakfast is fruit, sandwiches, coffe, juice and yogurt. Everything is walking distance in Paraty but this hostel seems to be in the middle of it all. There weren't very many people at all when I stayed but if it was a busy season the room...
We booked a Private double room at Injoy Hostel. Location was great as it was near the main bus lines and a Metro station. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hostel is spotless and recently renovated. Room was clean, comfortable and big. Would definitely return.
satisfactory
The staff and other guests are great, so helpful and friendly. The place has a lovely vibe... I will be staying again on my return.
The friendly welcome at the hostel is great! No matter when you arrive, you can lock the luggage in a safe room until you can check in the room. Although the rooms were quite small - but that's normal in Rio for that price - the stay there was very very nice! The whole hostel was very clean (also very very clean toilet), and everybody (included cleaning staff) tried ev...
I have nothing to complaint.
We stayed in a private double room. The room and bathroom were okay but on the small size. There was a refrigerator and a fan but it wasn't very powerful so we found the room very hot and stuffy. The bed sheets didn't fit properly and came off everytime you turned over. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially in emails before arrival. The room was not cleaned each ...
Pros: I stayed in a 14-bed dorm room but I was alone the whole time I stayed. Breakfast is one of the best/generous offered in the area. I had a really bad asthma attack my 2nd night at the hostel and Cacaia took care of me like a mom - bringing hot chai latte, water, breakfast and even lunch in bed along with extra pillows and blankets... even her own scarf. She and...

Excellent
The Hotel interior is new, beautiful, and clean. Room were new, not so clean, toilet is new & good Restaurant food is good, delicious Bad: The Hotel doesn't have any signboard or title, we have very hard time to locate the hotel, even inside the hotel doesn't have a signboard or title
We were lucky and got upgraded from a standard room to a suite. Hotel is located centrally and within walking distance of historical Sao Paulo. Subway is a 5 min walk from the hotel. Taxi from the airport was BRL 110. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Best Western Premier Arpoador has spacious, clean, well designed and comfortable rooms with complete amenities. It is very close to tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping areas. And most importantly the staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. So for us, Best Western Premier Arpoador provided comfort and is worth to return to.
We enjoyed our stay at the Windsor excelsior immensely. And would stay again. The price was a little high but it was during carnival. You have to pay 15$ per day for each device which was probably our only issue during our stay. The staff were very friendly but surprisingly lacking in English for an international hotel, however, this seems to be just rio and Brazil in ...
I have visited the Estanplaza before and always found it an excellent hotel and good value for money, so close to Avenida Paulista. On my latest visit there were one or two annoyances - possibly just bad luck: TV remote control did not work - battery probably flat; no glasses in the room; bedside light did not work - probably bulb dead. Hopefully these were just one ...
This is a very busy hotel, with a nice compact sunbathing area near the swimming pool. The location is very central and you are only minutes away from the beach or shops ! I would recommend this place to older teenagers and young couples, though most of the guests I saw were elderly ! Food and drink prices were expensive for the quality.
Hotel Atlantico Business is a nice hotel. It is narrow and high rise building with roof top swimming pool and with nice view in Rio de Janeiro and Sugar Loaf. The hotel is located at the central area of Rio de Janeiro (Centro) and near from major attractions and it is not far from Capacabana Beach (five minutes’ drive). The hotel standard, amenities and service...
Nice staff, In front of beach, Breezy roof top bar
It is a better business hotel in the CBD area as compared to others and walking distance to the convention sites. Beds are comfortable, breakfast was great and a not too bad gym for working out. Wi-Fi is provided in the room. Busy area during the weekdays and nearby to tram stops and many eateries around. Although is a 4 star hotel, bring own toiletries as it does not ...
I really enjoyed my stay at MP. The location is really great! You can walk just about anywhere, everything you could want to see is close by. I found the staff to be very helpful and were always available to answer questions. Be sure to verify changes upon checking out. This was my second time stay at this hotel and both times there were snacks, breakfast, and miscellaneous charges to my room that I did not consume or make.
We spend an very good journey in this hotel - Pool and garden are perfect. room are so clean and you've got space with everything you need ! in the center of Jeri. Breakfast really nice - I hightly recommanded this hotel. (just dont choose the last room (number6) at the end ofthe garden, because it's just behind the kitchen).
This hotel was very clean and was happy with my room. The breakfast was decent and featured eggs, cold cuts, breads, cereals, yogurt, fruits, etc. This hotel was under a ten minute walk to shopping and the beach. I would stay here again.
We liked our stay at the Mar Hotel. The room was nice and clean. The daily breakfast offers a huge choice for all kinds of travellers. The staff was helpfull and supported us with excellent informations. The price/value ratio was also excellent for what we got.
Highly recommend if you end up in terminal 3 for your connecting flight wise choice way too easy, hotel staff great. .dinner and breakfast included great room, this is the only credible best option. ..worth the money and allowed a break for the 14 hours flight on Korean air next morning. ..

I always stay this hotel
Relaxing time here on a final nights stay in Brazil before heading back home. We stayed in Copacabana for the first part of our trip and that was much better situated to see and do everything in Rio.

This has been one of the best hotels I have stayed in Brasil. Tired of the old hotels in Rio and the to business-oriented ones in São Paulo, I went to Brasilia and stayed in the Melia 21. Very good, only disapointed with the swimming pool. all the rest was of excelent level.
The staff was super friendly. We arrived at 7 am and although checking wasn’t until noon, they accommodated us, and gave us a different room, since we had an overnight flight and were really tired. They were always willing to assist, and just super friendly. The hotel is more like an updated motel, in my opinion, it’s a little dated, but it did the job for our 4 nig...
this is my business trip, price is not cheap but Sheraton is a world wide hotel, so the services has guarantee, this is the first time i being this hotel, that is near by the beach, just the room a little bit small but it can accept, around the hotel place is beatiful, restaurant is very good!!
Breakfast was just Average for this Grade of the hotel. and I expected more English speaking staff than they actually had. The pool was too small but good relaxing and quiet. Other than that is was great they put us on the top floor and the room was good although it was not noise proof enough. The wind and sound from outside can get a bit annoying if you want a good ...
I visited Sao Paulo for a short city break and the InterContinental was recommended by a friend as she has stayed previously and enjoyed her stay. The hotel have friendly staff who were always willing to help, the hotel is clean and ht ebed is comfortable. Good location with easy access to the city centre, I would stay here again.
Recommend for biz trip who need to exercise on a regular base. Satisfied with GYM.
Location was good and price was reasonable. Meager amenities and even the promised facilities like fitness center were out of order for the duration of our stay. House keeping was slow and lacked attentiveness, if we didn’t make a special request at reception for our room to be cleaned we often got back to the hotel in the late afternoon/early evening to a room that ...
Organized room, In front of shopping mall, On the way to airport from downtown.
It was good. Not a 10 though. I travel around and this hotel is more like a 8 or so.
Hotel is close to airport and close to Brazilian side of the Iguacu falls. Breakfast was excelent, room was clean, Wifi worked ok, there was a pool, agency where you can book a trip, a bar and a restaurant for dinner. It is hard to find someone who speak english (except at the reception). The problem is that you need a taxi to get anywhere (to the shops, other restaura...
It was very good. The only let down was none of the staff or even reception could speak Fluent English. Expect more from a 4 star hotel located next to probably the most visited Tourist destination in Brazil. Room service was poor and it took 3 attempts to request and iron and board until a waiter turned up with a Menu card. At which point, I gave up and went out in cr...
The Sofittel Rio De Janeiro is an excellent hotel. It is located in the best spot you can ask for - just on the border btween Impanema beach and Copa Cabana. You can walk few minutes only in order to enjoy each one of them. The view from most of the roomms is stunning, the staff is very freindly and speaks perfect English. The breakfasr next to the pool and infront of ...
The hotel is ideal if you have an event at the Conference Center. It is also opposite a shopping center. However it is far from the beach. Staff does not have second language skills and restaurant menu is quite simple
very easy acess, silent, pool, most atractive view of beach, very good breakfast and service room. Many options for visit other beachs in the Ceará. Good Localization, easy acess to city center and popular center.
The hotel room wasnt ready. There was no towels in the bathroom as we had to request for it. Also, the bed wasnt well prepared as their blanket was just a sheet of thin linen without actual blanket. The blankets were in the closet. The hotel didnt provide any free bottles of water and they charged over priced, about USD 3-4 per bottle (approx 250ml).
a nice hotel with 5 star accommendations - great price the room was clean, large, and a comfortable bed. the location was very convenient (less than a block from train station). when i arrived the staff was very helpful. i took a shower in their top floor spa (with indoor pool) since the room wasn't ready. they offered me water at my arrival. when i actually checked in...
the location is better than those in town if you have a flight in the early next morning.
