1 minute walk...Songdo Beach, 5 minute drive...Jukdo Market, Clean and neat inside the hotel, Even though we arrived late at night...the elderly gentleman at the front desk was very kind. A hotel I want to visit again.

Really satisfied with the price”
It was my first time in Pohang, and there were tourist attractions nearby. It was also less crowded because I went during the Lunar New Year holiday. The only downside was that the windows couldn't be opened, and the floor was carpeted, which may not be suitable for those who don't like dry environments. Other than that, I was very satisfied.

Great hotel for watching the sunrise on New Year's Day”
Stayed for a night during a trip to Pohang for sunrise viewing. Despite being peak season, the price was affordable and the simple breakfast was good. The Songdo beach was just a 1-2 minute walk away, so we didn't need to go anywhere else to see the sunrise. Jukdo Market was also nearby, making it a convenient location.

I enjoyed my stay at the Commodore Hotel Pohang. The staff were friendly even though not to many people were staying at the hotel. They even gave good directions to taxi drivers to get where I wanted to go (like going out to a good Chicken/Hof restaurant) located in a different beach area of Pohang.

Cheap and clean place to stay.”
We needed a cheap place to stay for the fireworks festival. The Commodore Hotel worked out well, with easy access to the festival area and a cheap clean bed to sleep in afterwords.

What you see is not what you get”
we were looking for a place to stay in pohang and saw this hotel. it looked decent, clean and modern. we thought we would treat ourselves. how very wrong we were! when we arrived we were given a room that stank of cigarette smoke and was nothing like the pictures on agoda. it was old, and had not been maintained. there was no lcd television as advertised and the towels were dirty. we complained and the staff were obliging. we moved into a different room (across the hall) that did not have the lingering smoke smell but was still nothing like the pictures advertised. we discovered that the hotel had been renovated but only half the rooms had been upgraded. these were the rooms on the second floor. the breakfast was simple but good. it was basic eggs and bacon with cereal available. the staff call you to make sure you do not miss breakfast. some of the staff can speak english which is useful. the location isn't great. it is near songdo beach. this beach is not very busy due to posco being nearby. there are a few restaurants around. they are mainly traditional korean restaurants with one or two coffee shops. you have to take a bus to get into town to go to the main attractions. one good thing about the location is that it gives a good view of the lights from posco. it makes for a good walk along the beach at night. there is a nice energy by the beach at night. the hotel itself was very disappointing. we will not be returning.

I stayed at this hotel to attend an event a few blocks away. The room was pretty clean and they had full sized towels! Be warned though, the room is pretty small and the door lock was the type that can easily be broken into. The staff were friendly and you get some meal vouchers when you check in. I didn't wake up early enough for breakfast, but if i ever go back i'll check it out. Overall, i think i got my money's worth staying here.

I chose this hotel because I was running in the Pohang Beach Marathon. It was right next to the start/finish line. The hotel is going through some renovations I think or was just really cruddy looking from the outside. The lobby and elevator are quite nice but the rooms are small and a bit on the disappointing side. Small TV small, bathroom. But again one night it was ok

fine for the money we paid”
We paid really cheap on agoda for this hotel, so that is the only reason why we stayed here. It is VERY old, but clean and staff were friendly. They gave us a twin room by mistake so she then put us in a big room which i think was a suite. The beds were more comfortable than the usual motel's in Korea. It was close to downtown and beaches so that was convenient. It was really good enough for 1 night's stay, but not modern at all. The breakfast was included and it didn't look like much when we arrived, just bread and salad stuff and cold dry scrambled eggs, but then the staff came to each of us and asked if if we wanted a fried egg. So we got hot eggs off the pan. which made breakfast much better.

Typical Pohang Hotel - A Little Dirty”
The staff was friendly, but this place was pretty worn out. In the pictures the rooms look simple and clean - not the case. The rooms have wall to wall carpet that's probably from the Eisenhower administration, half the light bulbs are burned out, and the walls and door are paper thin. Breakfast was a couple pieces of bread and some random chopped vegetables. If this place were dirt cheap I wouldn't have minded, but it just wasn't worth the money. Maybe they spruce it up in the summer - it is right next to the beach. But next time I'm in Pohang I'm going to stay at the Apple Tree Hotel.

nice hotel in struggling beach town”
The hotel was fine. Small, clean, with a nice big, separate shower/tub. Not very soundproof. Close to beach, but the nearest beach is right next to the monstrosity, Posco. Posco is a giant steel factory built on a pier jutting into the ocean. It pollutes the air and beach all around it. However, a 5-minute taxi can take you to a nicer beach north of Posco.

The only thing that we didnt like is that they only gave one person free breakfast with the purchase of the room. We had to buy the other 3( myself and two kids) I thought that was not right.

This hotel was a older hotel, however the staff, and parking were superb. The bed was very soft and the room was clean. I would stay at this hotel again.
