Zhangjiajie hotels & accommodations

This place is absolutely amazing. The Aesthetic, the Staff, THE FOOD, the Scenery, All of it. We were completely surprised by the quality of the place. Probably some of the best sleep we have had in a very long time, certainly in China. Rain is the man, he really made our stay very memorable. It was a pretty exciting and somewhat long drive from the City to the In...

I rarely write reviews as I'm time starved, however after travelling from Singapore to Zhangjiajie, I had a little shock on arrival. Firstly, the rooms we had booked (Shuizhai) were not available as they were under going some reconstruction even though they were available on Agoda. The staff told us that they had tried to contact Agoda to contact us to no avail. I'm no...

We asked for non-smoking room but they gave us one with very strong cigarette smell. When we rang the counter they changed our room quickly, and even bigger than the first one. Breakfast was excellent, with a large selection of both western and eastern foods. Staff are very friendly, especially the lady manager who was on duty at night (sorry I did not get her name)....

I really had a great time in this hostel. It is located just 5 minutes from the entrance to the national park. The owner is very kind, and does everything he can to help you. He also let you do your laundry for free. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. There is a squatting toilet in the bathroom, but I wouldn't call that a minus; we are in China after all...

Very good location, only takes 10 minutes to airport by car and takes 2 minutes to Tianmenshan cable car station by walk. There are big beautiful park infront of the hotel. You can be provided airport pick up service by free. Very clean room and good service. But little bit noisy because of cars, I recommend get a room at the other side of big road. I will stay at ...

I actually wrote my review on this hotel 40 minutes after check out but somehow I don't understand its not publish and not in my draft too. Actually I don't have patience to immediately wrote because I love this hotel very much. It's the most luxurious hotel in Zhangjiajie. I never thought the room is so beautiful, Luxurious and cozy. All amenities were high end, the...

We stayed here for the first day and last couple of days of the visit in the Zhangjiajie area. The staff was very informative. Provided information on where to visit with the timeframe we had and we left our big luggage at the hotel while we traveled light to Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie village. The taxi ride from the train or bus station is roughly 10 CNY or the n...

We felt totally hospitality, All staffs were very helpful. Just shared with our experience. 1. Due to our flight delay, we called up to postpond one day arrival, the hotel promised to refund us one night hotel fee without penalty of course with proof from airline. 2. 25th December to 29th December 2012, weather forcasted snowing and visibilty was low, so we changed ...

We booked two of the same rooms (deluxe king beds) but we got one room smaller than the other. However, the stay was still extremely comfortable and we were very happy to have booked the hotel. Booking from the hotel's website is cheaper though.

This is a hostel and for a hostel it is very good. The people who work here are helpful and can help you plan your time in Zhangjiajie. Some older reviews said the air conditioning didn't work and that there were no towels. My air conditioning worked, however, I first needed to turn on a switch by the bed in order to turn on electricity for the entire room. They provid...

This hotel should be called hotel weiwei as she runs the show ! she was on reception all the time and did an amazing job - checking guests in and out, solving any issues...advising on where to go, what to do and even help me with my chinese language. She single handedly deserves the 5 stars ! Beyond her, the location was great and easily accessible to everything. My o...

The location is right in front of the Gate to the park. By the day we left we were hit by snow storm and the hotel arrange a charter taxi to send us to Zhangjiajie which made it possible to leave the town. The staffs were helpful and room was really nice

Stayed here for two nights, and it was absolutely amazing. The location was breathtaking, a short bit away from town. The owners were super helpful with everything from where we should go and fixing us a driver, to serving food customized to our diets and schedule. The room and view I believe is the best in Zhangjiajie and I would absolutely recommend it!

I loved staying at this hotel. I was upgrade to a suite for free. It was huge. Staff was efficient and so friendly. Hotel is clean and in the perfect location to the rail station and Tianmen Shan cableway. I am returning to Zhangjiajie next month. Will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

I wish I stayed at Wali’s throughout my entire trip in Zhangjiajie rather than in the city itself! The rooms were very big and comfortable and had everything you need. It’s also located near the bus station and main entrance to Zhangjiajie - all within walking distance. The owner is extremely welcoming and is very helpful with directions. He speaks English and every mo...

The owners and their daughter made us feel so welcome here. Though they didn't speak English, they used translation apps like pros and helped us to organize our time in Zhangjiajie wonderfully. The owner and his daughter took us on a tour of the surrounding area and saved us a bunch of money by taking us to the airport. The hotel itself is quite clean and comfortable w...

This was my first trip to Zhangjiajie and the proprietor of the Wind and Wood Inn/张家界风居住的森林民宿 did his absolute best to make my stay memorable. When I arrived at the Wulingyuan Scenic Area ticket station I was a little confused so I gave the Inn's boss a call and he promptly messaged me an itinerary for the day that maximized the sights I could visit along the way to th...

The hotel is very impressive. Perfect cleaning. Beautiful and well equipped rooms The pool is not heated, so you can not enter (water in early September is already cold) The food is not suitable for Europeans at all. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the gate to the hotel entrance if you do not have a private car

We stayed at the Glass Cube for 3 nights so that we could tour around the various sites of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. This location runs much more like a bed-and-breakfast than a hotel. The family that runs this guesthouse was so helpful and accommodating. They helped us figure out our plan for seeing the different sites during our time here. For location...

had a really nice time. I was traveling to Zhangjiajie for the first time and I was really nervous because it's a small place and I wanted to see the best way to see everything. the hotel staff was really helpful and their services were impeccable. the treated is like family. they showed us the map of national Forest Park and guided us on the routes to take. helped is ...

Good experience, would recommend. You'll want to spend at least 1-2 days in Zhangjiajie Forest Park, north of the city center. This is an ideal location for that part of the trip. Hotel is walking distance from the park entrance, and the staff gave us a clear itinerary and good recommendations for exploring the park. There are limited dining options nearby (we saw non...

The Best Western is located at the edge of Zhangjiajie City, just before the start of the highway that takes you to the national park area. It's a short taxi ride from most of the important areas of the city itself--restaurants, Tianman Mountain cable car station, etc. The room was presented very tastefully, with flower petals sprinkled in the washroom, a rose lying on...

This is a wonderful place for backpackers, there are many people in this hostel can speak English. They are very friendly and very devoted show you how to go, where to go. They have a fireplace on the first floor, they make tea for m...

Upon arriving at Zhangjiajie airport we were met by Xiao Xiang’s husband, who had a big friendly smile. In spite the lateness of the hour, his driving was very careful and we never felt any anxiety en route. First of all, it is very difficult to find the place. There are no signs outside the building. The second problem is that the hostel is behind two doors with a code. In order to talk to the owner of the hostel, you have to get past the first door. The owner lives on the 1st floor and you have to knock on the door on the right. The door to the actual hostel is on the 2n...

we loved our stay here. the trip from airport to yh is if i remember correctly. the driver carried our two 20kg suitcases all the way up the stairs on arrival. the ladies at reception were fantastic at helping us organise our four days in the area. the driver was awesome!! his personality, service, and help was all fantastic!! he was our driver for all four days, his...

Carol is the only one that speaks english, and she is absolutely great: she speaks really good english and she will help you to prepare your route in the national park perfectly well. The problem is that they have another hostel too, so when Carol is not there, everything gets complicated because the others doesn't speak any english and they are not really helpful (onl...

Arrived near midnight and was able to check-in without issue (was with my gf who is from China so communication wasn't a problem. Didn't get to see how the English was). Service staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed help with such as replacing the TV remote batteries to figuring out the water heater. Room was fairly basic but good sized; same wi...

No one speaks English at this hotel. They rely upon a voice translator app on their I-phone which isn't very good. Also, most of the rooms have squat toilets but their pictures show you western toilets. So I was surprised when I checked in and they did not have a western toilet room available. They did, however, move me to a better room the next day. This hotel also ...

Hostel is close to train and long distance bus station, less than 5 minutes walk. Very convenient location. Also shops around for basic needs. But beware Zhangjiajie airport is close to the city. We arrived after booking online through Agoda. Most of the staff were helpful during ...

My wife and I spent two nights here in June 2016. Before we ever got to the hotel, we had excellent E-Mail exchanges with the manager, Mr. Zhu. We were coming to Zhangjiajie from Yichang, and he was very helpful with information on how to make connections to the train, and on the advantages of train vs. bus or chartered car travel. It seemed not to matter what time of ...

The room is newly renovated, as such, not much to complain. Breakfast is provided and nothing outstanding as it is a chinese style breakfast. For dinner, just walk out of hotel, turn right and there is another hotel with many local dish to choose from in the restaurant, worth the try.

I think for the price being charged the hotel's promised quality wasn't up to it. Basic amenities such as two complimentary bottled water weren't offered until we demanded for it. Room cleanliness is obviously the biggest issue. Bed linens weren't cleaned properly. I even noticed that the cleaning service were drying bed linens (don't know whose) on the hallway floor! ...

Mengxiyuan guesthouse is a conveniently located hotel in the Walking Street area, with large rooms and big balconies overlooking the various local restaurants and shopping below. This is a convenient location with very helpful staff who provided information on the Zhangjiajie, Grand Canyon, HuangLong (Yellow Dragon) Cave, and Baofeng Lake. The room is clean and spacious; however, it can use some minor maitanence (ie. shower door handle). Overall, it's a good place to stay while visiting the local area.

Tina was an excellent host. We arrived at the hotel around 2am and she was waiting for our arrival and very welcoming and accommodating. She help us organised number of tours during our stay. Very good location, close to most popular places such as Zhangjiajie National Park, Grand Canyon & Glass Bridge.

Probably the largest building in Zhangjiajie, only a couple of miles from the airport, and about a 10 min walk to the cable car station. Very clean hotel I couldn't really fault it. My only negative would be no one speaks English, and it's best to take a English/Chinese translation device with you. Check in and check out are no hassle tho.

It is very beautiful quartzz sandstone with accessible with any public transport. There is a lots of international bank, the historical and scenic view of the mountain.
zhangjiajie city nothing much but its national parks is really fantastic. Beautiful and natural rock formation.
No english speaking people, dirt and chaos on the streets, constant building site. The most impesive-trips to nearby national parks, spectacular views, very crowdy in peak time-long queues for the biggest attractions, Try to avoid most advertised sites.
Wonderful city. It is civilization and nature integration. You can take cable car from city to Tianmen Mountian.
amazing nature. minimum 3 days. National park at least 2 days, Zhangjiajie mountain another 1 day minimum.
Zhangjiajie is beautiful place , the nature is gorgeous , the mountains are very huge but i recommend if u ready to go zhangjiajie u have to be in good condition , and not the place to bring small children
Beautiful landscapes, you must visit Tianmen (the actual cave or hole in the mountain) after march, since january and february according to the staff it is closed because of the weather.
Beautiful place, the city is not very active during early January, you will find many closed places very early at night.
The city is a lot bigger then I thought. It is a typical dirty chinese city. Stay near the park, out of the city.
WE liked what we saw of the city which was not a lot as we came to see the mountains . There were not many bars in our hotel area and for 2 foreigners who dont like Chinese food much ,there wasnt much other choice.
It's an amazing city in terms of great views, but super rude people, especially the taxi drivers. Taxi drivers were in for the money only.
Zhangjiajie is a very nice place, the weather is cold at that time. the outdoor situation is the best situation.
Fascinating city with great attractions. Must see Zhangjiaie forest park and Tianmenshan mountain. Min 5 days of stay is recommended.
Although we had a very bad experience with the airport, we almost missed our plane due to some misundertanding with airport personnel, the people in Zhangjiajie are very warm.
I have been to Beijing and Harbin and other cities/provinces in China but Zhangjiajie ffered something different.
