"This has been my fourth trip to Taipei, and I have always love the place. What makes this place special is Meander, and the warmth they have provided. I have been coming here since my first trip and they always are great. Not only are the venues worth the price, the staff are very open-minded, and the people gathering here seem to be likewise, because of the atmosphere the staffs make. I recommend a long stay here to make great friends during your stay in Taiwan."

"This being my 9th trip to Taiwan, I have stayed at a number of hotels from 5 star to 3 star. I would rank this as one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Taipei. I had orgininally booked for 3 days but ended up staying a total of 6 days. The location in excellent with the Ximen MRT station exit 5 just outside the hotel. The rooms are very modern and the bed is very comfortable. This is a new hotel and there are still some renovaitons in the lower level but nothing to be a hinderence at all to your stay. I have only some very small comments to make but once again nothing to be overly concerned by. The lip on the shower floor is quite low so the water does not drain away as quick so need to be careful of the water flowing over to the floor. While ther rooms are very spacious there is no where to put your luggage except on the floor maybe the room could have a stand that you can put your luggage on. The breakfast is delivered to your room from an external supplier. Not really to my liking as it was cold. I would have preffered maybe some pastries than the american style that was delivered.. My final comment and this is not a critisicm of this hotel but of most in taiwan. I would like to see an iron and ironing board in the rooms. Overall I must say I was very impressed with this hotel and the staff. I will definately be booking this hotel again on my next trip."

"It's a wonderful hotel in Taiwan. Price, place location and room are excellent at Taipei. Hotel is located at Xiamen, which is a hot shopping area and hotel room is in the lower price around Taipei. We walk 1 minutes from mrt station to hotel. All item of living assessories are provided by the hotel even at small room and lower price. "

"It is highly recommendable especially for first timers in trying dormitories. The place is really modern and cozy. The place is well maintained and very clean. The staff are very friendly and can speak English. The area is near the MRT and Ximen which is a place for good shopping and just entertainment during day but mostly at night. Most of all, very budget friendly! The free wifi is sure plus for people to stay connected online. It was my first time traveling doing backpacker style and I will say I will do it again especially in Taiwan and in FunInn Taipei! Really was great experience for me. I'll be back soon and will see you again, FunInn Taipei!"

"Their facilities are clean and modern. I loved their bed, it was 5-star hotel level of comfortable! I stayed at an eight-person dorm room but I always had a restful sleep because everyone is very mindful of their roommates. The hotel is accessible from Taipei Main Station through the Taipei City Mall, and it was very easy to get to the Airport MRT from the same exit, too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also caught the cafe near the lobby's soft opening promo for hotel guests for free breakfast and discounted coffee. Would recommend to all my friends who want to visit Taipei."

"The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The laundry services were sufficient. There are water coolers in the hostel, so we didnt have to spend much on water. We stayed in the family suite which came with its own bathroom, tv and balcony. The room can comfortably fit 4 people and 4 luggages (a lot of walking around the room is done across the beds though). The toilet was extremely clean and the tv has over a 100 channels. Our balcony also had a good view of Taipei 101. The security is also good. The hostel is quite a walk from the mrt station. But its a relatively direct route, so it is easy to get there. I will definitely recommend Formosa 101 to anyone i know going to Taipei. Thank you Formosa 101 for the great stay!"

"I have to say I am in love with the big windows it has in all the rooms. As you may notice, a lot of the Taipei hotels do not have windows in their room yet this one you can enjoy a great view of the busy Taipei. Besides, they have an iPad that allows you to control everything in the room with an app. Though you don't see the usual smart/butt-washing toilet but you get the smart lighting in your shower area in return. All in all, it's a nicely designed hotel which is also a good value for money. An obvious choice in the Taipei Station area."

"We were a party of five (family) wanting to experience celebrating new year in another country. We chose taipei and booked our holiday with Diary of Ximen. Stayed a total of 6 days & 5 nights in their family room. Since we were arriving at an irregular time and our flight back was just as irregular, we also arranged for airport pick-up service. Because of its location and price would highly recommend diary of ximen. They’re about 50m away from the Ximending pedestrian area and about 300m from Ximen station. They also have the most helpful staff. While conversing in english could be challenging in most of Taipei, hotel staff do the best they can to help. Special mention & thanks to Harry who was very pleasant to transact with and quite patient with all our inquiries. Their 24hr hot & cold drinks station is unique and quite helpful for tired tourists like us. One thing they can improve on is their breakfast fare. It could use a few more western items other than french fries and toast."

"Good stay with unique service The location is great, only 10-15 minutes walk to Taipei main station. 15 minutes to Ximending. 5 minutes to 2/28 peace park. There are many shops around the hotel. Very convenient, the hotel is on the road side, but not so noisy. I booked single eco room, the room is just well fit. Even though it's not spacious, but full of facilities. This hotel is unique! Not only drinking water, but snack bars are also complimentary. And they fill up both drinking water and snack every day!!! Another unique is breakfast time is from 8-14:00!!! Breakfast tastes good, but not buffet not many choices. The breakfast changes every day, I have Xiao Long Pao as one of my breakfast. It tastes really good. With the price I pay 60 usd/night in clude breakfast, I think it's a good deal."
