Where to stay in Sen Monorom
Sen Monorom hotels & accommodations
We spent a few days in Sen Monorom mainly to visit the Elephant Valley Project but also to see other local sights and visit a local village. Our choosing Mayura Hill Resort as our base was a great choice. It is a bit out of town but between the staff helping and a cheap yuk-yuk ride that was never a problem. Our room was very comfortable and had a very pleasent balcon...
Phnom Penh in April is very hot so it was great to go to the town of Sen Monorom and resort of Nature Lodge to experience cooler temperatures. NL is only 5 miniutes or so by tuktuk from the town centre. We walked it a couple of times but a Tuktuk is more comfortable. The host Theresa looked after us and helped us with booking and daily needs. The big communal area was ...
The rooms were way BETTER than I expected for the price. BEST COFFEE I'VE HAD IN CAMBODIA!!! I am a coffee lover, coming from Melbourne, it's been hard to find good coffee...this places has the best I've ever had in Cambodia!!! The owner is a lovely Cambodian woman who speaks perfect English. She has two gorgeous children who give the place a really nice atmosphere. S...
For me, who has been traveling in SE Asia for 2 months, I was ready for some comfort. I was shocked to find it here in N Cambodia, at such a good price. I loved the large room, the amazing vista (I'd requested best possible view), the feel of a western hotel, incredible hot water. The wifi was fast - much appreciated. The down side for others (not for me) was the 5...
The owner is very helpful in arranging connections, setting up tours, making recommendations, doing what he can to assist visitors. Downsides were that the guest house is a 15-minute walk along a dirt road without street lighting and a few pesky dogs from town (such as it is) and transport links. Room was dusty, bedding not changed unless specifically requested.
We stayed at the Green House Guesthouse (Boran Southa) for two nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Great location on the main road in Sen Monorom. Tip: Pay the extra two dollars for the rooms with hot water. A great value at 10 bucks!!
$4/night for a private bungalow with electricity and an ensuite bathroom? Great! However, it's also good to note that our bungalow came with - sheets that weren't just stained (all over, in all colors) but dirty. - a sticky blanket that felt like it hadn't been washed in awhile - a Western toilet with half a toilet seat left that needed to be manually flushed - water ...
Our stay was short as we only needed one nights accommodation before going to the elephant valley project outside of town. After a long day of driving in a cramped van to Sen monorom from Phnom Penh, we arrived at 8pm, we were greeted by welcoming faces who helped us to our room. We hadn't had dinner on the bus so we went to the empty dining room where a wonderful gir...
I said I made a reservation and he had my reservation application. But he said “No room but AGODA has received a reservation” When I asked waht I would do. He said again “No room” and then he offered to give me a room with an air-conditioner for another 10 dollars. I said I wanted the roon I reserved but there is no use. If they returen the amount paid, I look for ...
