"We opted to come to Raniban for our honeymoon as we were looking forward to see the sights of Annapurna without having the need to hike (the laziness is purely on my part) however, unfortunately for us, we could hardly see the scenery as the weather was not on our side (weather is VERY foggy in March). Nonetheless, we greatly enjoyed our stay here as it was very calming and serene. Further, the staff were very attentive especially Ganga who was very helpful all throughout our stay. He even assisted in making an itinerary for us as we had informed him we did not have a very long duration to explore Pokhara. We opted for the Mountain View Room With Garden and we can imagine how spectacular the view would have been if the weather was clear. Hot water was virtually non-existent, however this is because the hot water supply is dependant on solar power, so go figure. Makes for a great "wake-up call" to shower in the morning though =D Location-wise, its rather a distance from central Pokhara (about 20 minutes by taxi) and currently the road is a bit rough. Plus, there is a a short hike up to reach the resort. But considering how we wanted to find a place away from town, this was fine by us. The resort is about 15 minutes walk away from World Peace Pagoda and from there you can hike down to the Phewa Lake, take a boat across to visit the Berahi Temple (which is located in the middle of the lake) and then continue on to Pokhara town. There in a in-house catering with Nepali, Western, and Asian options. As all ingredients is organic and cooked fresh, do time your meal properly by placing your order an hour earlier. In short, the foggy weather kind of dampened the experience but the great hospitality at Raniban has definitely made me want to come to Nepal again. Great job Ganga and the team! Hope to (one day) see you again!"

"The hotel is near Phewa lake and the shopping area. The shopping area is across Phewa lake. My room is on the fifth floor (the first floor is not the ground floor). I have two balconies. My room faces the lake and the mountains. The hotel is nice and clean. I really like the hotel. However, the staff made my stay there outstanding. One staff in particular, Ms Ameera Shrestha, was outstanding. She was able to advice me on my itinerary and politely answers all my queries. She know the hotel well and was able to arrange suitable accommodation for my family and I (we had various arrangements due to needs). On her own initiative, she made checks to ensure that we had the best stay in Pokhara. Well done, Ameera!"

"The hotel decor, staff and facilities are ok but the rooms need to be improved. We have stayed here two times now both times the wifi in our room didn’t work at all, second time we asked to change. When the wifi does work it’s very unreliable. Both times we stayed here the shower in the room was broken so end up having to use the tap set instead of the shower head which either doesn’t stay on or sprays everywhere. There is a constant banging sound coming from somewhere in the building which you can hear all night. Very annoying. Pool is ok, restaurant was too but will stay somewhere else next time. This is our second trip to Pokhara and wish we stayed somewhere better."
