"We enjoyed our stay in the Juffair Grand Hotel this July 2012. Its a perfect 4 star hotel with nicely sized rooms and good service. The location of the hotel is just perfect to enjoy the bahrain. Specialy for the people who like clubs the hotel itself has two. The famous one is wrangler. Overall its a value for money hotel. Cons: Design of the restroom is not imrpessive at all. "Nothing better than a warm welcome a smile to greet you with upon your entering a hotel after a long flight. The staff at Ibis are excellent and from reception onward all the support staff are always willing to help , greet the guests and always have a smile on their faces. I had a nice stay and they even allowed me a bit of a late check out. Next time for sure I will be staying at IBIS whenever I am in Bahrain. The receptionist Joceylin deserves a big pat on her back for an excellent service level. Well done IBIS STYLUS ! "

"After I read a lot of negative reviews on agoda and tripadvisor about this hotel, I was wondering wether to book it or not for my 2 night stay in Bahrain. I decided to have a go and risk it. Right from the start I arrived to this hotel, I couldn't believe those reviews were true. First, I was checked-in early (some 3 hours before official check-in time) and at no extra charge. Secondly, I got a huge room with queen bed and super comfortable matress. Excellent sleep I had both nights. Room was clean. Yes, the hotel shows its age and should be updated but some people are too picky. At the price I paid, I got more than I expected in a country where accommodation is normally expensive. Plus wifi connection was strong. Location is not the best it is walking distance to Fateh Mosque, and there are also many shops and restaurants nearby. Or you are a short taxi ride away from the business district. If you have a car, like I did, there is also a free hotel parking. Would stay here again."

"It has been an extremely good experience at Oriental Palace Hotel in Manama (Bahrain). The property is nicely maintained and managed. Th staff, particularly, Sai at the counter/reception is very-very good, I'd say exceptionally pleasant personality. Right from breakfast to room service, everything was very professional. I enjoyed my stay and will stay again here when I come next time to Bahrain."

"Because they only do suites the room was very big. I'm not sure why they do this as I'd be happy with a normal room but it seems fairly common in Bahrain. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The bathroom had a bidet but also a spray which living in Thailand fir haling the year I appreciated as did my Thai wife. I used room service twice. The first time was quick the second nothing had arrived are nearly an hour so I called again. There was no acknowledgement of the failed delivery but it then arrived quickly. The food was good on both ocaisions. The breakfast was very good although not exceptional. What was outstanding, apart from the room service problem was the attitude of the staff all of whom seemed to take a pride in their work. The pool was good and looked really nice with the elaborate tiling although some is falling off. There didn't seem to be any towels although there were used ones so perhaps we missed them and they need to be easier to find. One thing I would suggest is that the signs showing the depth should be in metres as well as feet and inches. For older Brits like me and those from the USA it's ok but most countries use metres. When we arrived we were informed that our room overlooked the pool and they have a pool party every Friday from early afternoon to late at night. It didn't worry us much as we were out most of the day but it might be worth checking how they stop noise in hotels near airports. I stayed at the Premier Inn at Heathrow terminal 4 and it was silent in the room despite facing the runway. I might do a stopover to break my trip from London to Bangkok and this is likely where I'll start stay. If you need to eat out of the hotel the Dome Cafe is less than 10 minutes walk south towards the naval base. It's open 24 hours and the food is great. "

"This hotel offers great value for money compared to most other options in Bahrain. I got airport pickup and dropoff organized and whilst the room itself was abit on the basic side thats expected at this price. However the WIFI was pretty decent and nice speed and the AC worked well. Bathroom was a decent size also with bathtub and shower. The only negative was the bed was rock hard and had no spring or bounce to it. Overall it offers great value for money for those looking for a quick stopover in Bahrain."
