"Without a doubt the best value for money in Laos. Location is perfect - right in downtown. All rooms have A/C and are comfortable. Plenty of toilets and showers. Free breakfast with 6 choices plus small serving of fruit. Free drinking water - only place in Laos I've seen that gives you free drinking water. Restaurant/chillout area on groundfloor sells cold large bottles of beer for LAK10,000 - this is cheap for Luang Prabang! Kuang Si waterfall trips sold for LAK40,000 only. Most of all, Tony and his family are sooo nice, friendly and laidback. Tony is also multi-lingual, speaking English, Vietnamese and Chinese (Mandarin)."

"The woman running this guesthouse is extremely friendly and speaks decent English. I was greeted with a huge smile, a welcome fruit plate and fresh squeezed juice. The property is very clean, the rooms are serviced daily and there are several options for the sizeable, free breakfast. Great central location. My room was small and the mattress a bit saggy but it had everything I needed for a comfortable 3 nights: lots of plugs, bedside lamp, water, coffee with kettle etc. Laundry is done for a very reasonable 90,000 kip per kilo. This was my fourth stay in Luang Prabang, all at different guesthouses, and this was the nicest and best value for money."

"This is one of the hotel where picture form the website does not lie. There are many hotels where picture from the web looks so much better than the room but in this hotel, it is not the case. In fact, the actual look of the room and overall feel is better than the picture seen on the website. The room is not large but not too small either. Despite not being large, it is very cosy and great detailed and attention is paid to the furnishing of the room. Actually, the small size of the room make it even more cosy. The bathroom is also very well designed. The hotel lobby also very stylishly designed in colonial style with a billiard table for a game of pool. I had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant because the restaurant has such a great location overlooking the Nam Khan river. For those who prefer a indoor environment, you could also dine at the very stylish hotel lobby. The superb rooms and restaurant of the hotel is complimented by the generosity of the staff. I was upgraded to a deluxe room( i booked a superior room) with river view when i asked for a room on the second floor as all the superior rooms are located on the first floor. I highly recommend this hotel even though there are many good hotel in Luang Prabang. I am highly satisfied with what i get for the price i paid for and will not hesitate to return when i visit Luang Prabang again. One note of caution though: The bed rooms are bath rooms are joined no door for the bathroom, so there may be some privacy problem for some travelers. This hotel i my opinion is designed towards couples. "

"Wow! So happy we found View Khem Khong Guesthouse! Great riverside location with gorgeous riverfront restaurant (delicious breakfasts, fruit shakes, and Lao and Luang Prabang specialties!) What really makes this hotel unique, though, is the amazing staff. From arranging waterfall visits to recommending restaurants, massage places, and the best sights/sites around, Eric is the best! Cold A/C, fast wifi, hot water showers.... you can't go wrong!"
