Where to stay in Ghent
Ghent hotels & accommodations

A fascinating conversion from a grand old post office, the hotel part wraps around the outside of a nicely done shopping area. The hotel is, consequently, an unusual shape and the standard rooms are small. If you don’t like dark, cosy rooms with the views from the windows hidden behind stone tracery, then this place isn’t for you. But if you can think of it as a place ...

The Marriott in Ghent is a great hotel which has the most amazing front entrance which coming in through the back does not prepare you for. The back is all modern hotel and very very professional and comfortable - you go out the front door and you are in the most magical old part of Ghent. Stayed one night should have stayed longer to explore Ghent more.

Location of the hotel is just so convenient you will find yourself hopping in and out during the day (for toilets especially!)... in fact, during our walking tour, we actually walked past the hotel twice! That just tells you how conveniently located it is. Don't worry about no breakfast... there are so many options around the area you'll be spoilt for choice. Don't sta...

We were attracted to the loft suit which explains the booking. It was hard to locate the B&B since there’s no signages. The location is slightly off the city center of Ghent. About 10mins walk from Gavensteen Tram station. There are plenty of restaurants around the apartment and they open till late. We had problems with the noise by the pub-goers downstairs until 1...

Friendly, helpful staff, small rooms, very comfy bed, would of liked coffee facilities, or at least a machine somewhere so as able to get a drink first thing. Very central location with bars, restaurants & supermarket nearby. Would stay again if in Ghent

When we arrived we were given a room which didn't look anything like the photos, it was a dark, sad looking room in need of updating, and the view out the window was of a brick wall; however, when we requested to move to a room facing the town centre and a brighter room, we were given one in the newer part of the hotel which was much more like the room I had envisaged ...

Ghent is a small town. From this hotel you can visit city centre by walk. We also went to brugge, day trip. There is a tram stop in front of the hotel which bring you to the train station. So overall we are happy choose ibis opera for our 2 nights stay.

The location is very strategic as it is near to the train station and the tram stand is just right in front of the hotel. The room is very clean and comfortable to stay. I also enjoyed the view from the room! The breakfast is good and the receptionists are very helpful. You can also purchase the 10-trips lijn card from them.

Pros: - location is just in heart of Ghent city center, in front Christmas market, Sint Niklaaskerk and shopping center. Can walk to most of the famous places - not too far from tram stop, walk only 5 minutes - MANY restaurants nearby - wifi is good - staffs were all nice - many bars nearby, good for people who after nightlife Cons: - amenities was minimum - fridge wa...

Lovely, well appointed room in great location for the sights of Ghent. Very comfy King size bed and large walk in shower. Cute little downstairs sitting room and some wonderful character to the building. I would stay here again, however there are some areas of improvement that I would suggest for the hosts; cleaning needs some extra attention to detail, when I arrived ...

Getting to the hotel, which is more like an appartment suite than anything, was fairly easy by car. Parking is the only issue since it is the city center. The place had a very boutique-like feel and was very modern. The bathroom was large and clean, but did not have an exhaust fan, and the shower curtain was a little to small. Appliances and furniture were all excell...

We stayed at the Sandton Grand Hotel Reylof on a Saturday, driving to Ghent from London. I chose the Hotel based on the fact it is recommended as the 'best' Hotel in Ghent according to Agoda and Trip Advisor reviews. The price was ok and we chose the Hotel due to parking, but the Hotel does not have parking, instead they have a multi-storey Car Park around the corner....

The location is excellent for tourist as it’s closer to everything. A very decent staff and so helpful, so far this is one of the places I have travel and the service and attention I got was immeasurable. A very patient and respectful Staff who goes extra mile for your comfort. Thanks so much

This B&B is a stylish upper-class home located at 5 minutes from the Ghent city center. It is not easy to find, because it looks like a normal home from the outside. You get the feeling you live there rather than being a tourist. The room was large and well-equipped and had a medieval touch with knight in armor and some theme paintings. Beds were comfortable, there was...

The breakfast, the bed, the room, the service, the house, the swimming pool, and the suggestions were all incredible choices we took. For me, the place was a wonderland and the couple was extremely nice. I loved my 4 days there and the quality was so well detailed that I feel that even the most expensive hotel cannot match up to its warm service. I hope that I may some...

The stay was nice and comfortable overall. The apartment was spacious and the lighting made the experience better and made for a happier feel. The breakfast was excellent and the area was quiet, yet right in the center of the city. That said, I wish the cost were more transparent. It wasn't until checkout that I was aware there was city tax excluded from the price an...

We had a lovely stay. Meike was very friendly and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable and the bathroom a good size. Loved the shower. If you have trouble with stairs you might re-think as they are very small and steep but otherwise i give this B&B 10/10

It's very close to the train station, so it's very convenient. The decoration & renovation is very elegant. The room and toilet are very beautiful & matched the photos on agoda. Breakfast is very nice, eggs are served on order. It would be great if the wifi signal is more stable and if it has elevator ( though DJ helped me to move the luggage to my room) The host is ...

Very enjoyable stay made even better by the excellent service and delicious breakfast. There are only 2 rooms and our room was at the back of the property which made it very quiet and had a small courtyard and amazing bathroom with a steam room/shower. Definitely recommend for weekend getaways!

We have been on a trip „Belgium in 4 days” and after staying in hotel chains before we were so surprised to find this treasure. The owner made us feel welcome immediately and the whole place is beautiful decorated. I think we all fell for Ghent and we will definitely come back 😊

Lord of Gent apartment surprised me in a very pleasant way from the very beginning. Real reviews for hotels
it's beautiful historical architectural by the small river, great to explore the city and not too touristy area yet.
Ghent is has a fantastic old town and my Belgian friends recommended it over the more touristy Brugge (I could only go to one city, not both).
A great city with plenty to do - such as museums, walking the cobbled streets to view the fine architecture, see the town square and churches/cathedrals; take a canal boat ride; eat great food and try the many beers.
Great city in the centre of Belgium, lots of old historic building and a great combination with nice nightlife.
Beautiful chocolates, great architecture and a really happening bar, restaurant and food scene as well as emerging fashion.
I went once in Ghent during july the Ghent festival. It was wonderful, a lot of live music every where, and people very kindly (I recommend the ROCOCO bar, (only candles).
