We loved every minute of our stay on Con Dao Island. I had never been to a Six Senses resort and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a romantic getaway. We stayed at the resort for three nights on the end of our whirlwind trip through Vietnam and it was perfect, our only problem was that we had to leave. Six Senses isn't cheap, but we went all out, had massages, ate there a lot drank a lot of cocktails and adored it. Our private butler Nghia was divine, the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the sheets were so soft. We slept with our door open and mosquito net down and listened to the ocean so falling asleep was blissful. The resort is designed in such a way that even when it is at full capacity, you barely see another soul, whether it be on the pristine beach, in the spa or even the bar. It never feels crowded, just incredibly serene. We were very lucky with the weather, it was stunning every day. I loved swimming in our private pool overlooking the ocean and then running down to the ocean (20 metres away) and swimming in the warm crystal clear water. I would send anyone back to this resort, we can't wait to get back there. It truly is absolute paradise.

We traveled to the Con Dao island to stay one night at the Poulo Condor Boutique Resort and Spa. After our two days and one night spent our only regret was that we did not book a full week at this wonderful place! The resort feels like stepping into a luxurious world of peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and plenty of activities to enjoy like snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, yoga, gym, biking and there was even a giant chess board and Jenga game to play on the grounds. This place is truly unique and one of the best places we have ever stayed at. My partner had his birthday during our stay and the staff kindly surprised him with a cake in our room when we arrived back from a day at the beach. The food was of top quality, especially the lunch down at the beach restaurant was particularly good with a mix of both Western and Vietnamese dishes. We also want to congratulate the resort for having the most friendly staff. They even helped send my lost phone back to me from the island!

any traveller to con son island who wants to be able to get around the small town independently & easily should stay here -you can walk to town easily. the other resort (six senses) is too far away so you are quite isolated. at night, from con dao resort you can easily walk to great local seafood restaurants. our favourite was across the road & towards town a bit. we had a marvellous time there meeting locals, selecting our own seafood & enjoying the 2 minute walk home in the balmy evening. the in-town resorts have limited beach access (no sand at high tide).con dao resort has beach access & nice sand. you have to ask for towels for the pool or beach, but that's not difficult is it?

The only place with Beach Bungalows in Con Dao, and also the only Beach Bar/Restaurant on the entire island. And the Bungalows are beautiful. Its about 30 m to the beach, which has palm trees, also rare on Con Dao. Personnel is very friendly and helpful, no fuzz. Nice dogs too, and many lovely details. The terrace chairs are partly not comfortable, should any suggestions be required.

I would highly recommend Con Dao Guest House for families travelling with young children and at reasonably low budget. The room is quite spacious, clean, a lot of light during the day and with nicely made beds. It is quite convenient to travel anywhere on the island from the location. The island has untouched beautiful beaches and mountains....I recommend families travelling with children to bring some foods and drinks as they are not readily available and quite expensive to have meals.

After a hiccup on arrival we managed to work everything out and had a fantastic stay. The only thing I would note is that the Double Room with Balcony - the balcony was accessed from a common door so was not exclusive to this room, however the room we had that had 2 double beds had its own balcony. This could just depend on the level and the rooms that you are allocated. But would highly recommend staying here.

the room was spacious and very clean. the management couple do not speak English but they try very hard to assist my journey, they have been very polite and patient. the dog protected me when some outside dog barked at me. Other pets in the hotel were very lovely as well. the only thing I need to mention is every morning 6am there will be official broadcast on the whole island but this Con Dao is a place that people start early and rest early, so no complain for me at all but if you would like to sleep in make sure you have your earplug on.

Our stay was very good (two rooms - two nights). Rooms were large, very clean, well maintained. There is no elevator for those who cannot negotiate stairs and no pool or ocean view. Breakfast was simple and basic (beef soup or noodle) with extra charge for a 2nd cup of coffee. Adequate and tasty food. Location is central for Con Dao. Hotel is quiet but howling dogs at night (not the hotel's fault, obviously) are a nuisance. It is on a main street but even main streets in Con Dao are pretty good. Good place to stay at a fair price.

1st: room was clean, the owner was friendly. It said on Agoda that wife in common area but the wifi is in every room, even if you sit at the restaurant next door you can still use wifi and speed is really good. 2nd: renting a motorbike from the hotel is a great way to discover the island. The island is very pristine, not so many ways for you to travel around, but if you have the motorbike, you can go to almost everywhere on the island. We wake up at 4am everyday to drive up to the mountains to see sunrise and again in the afternoon to see sunset (opposite direction), it was just spectacular. We rent the motorbike for 2.5 days and hotel owner charged us exactly 2.5 days, not 3 days, which we think very rare in tourist area. 3rd: best thing about this hotel is Anh Thy Restaurant right next door, you can see the front of the restaurant on one of the exterior pictures of the hotel on Agoda. We have never traveled and have such good, fresh n reasonable price on food like this. If you google restaurants in Con Dao, there would be many websites says go to Tri Ky or Thu Ba restaurant. But Anh Thy restaurant offers good quality of food and value for money, we ate there every meal, 3 times a day. The owner is super friendly n focuses on quality and freshness. You can always think of what you want to eat and order in advance. Once we ordered to have crab for the evening, the owner went to market to pick out the freshest one and show us they are still alive when we arrive for dinner, so that we know the foods are fresh. Also, there are 12 different dishes for breakfast, which is many for a local medium size restaurant. We have tried 3-4 different dishes for breakfast and they are all exceptional, good value for money. They open from 6am – 22pm, so you can eat whenever you want. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!!

We arrived Con Dao by boat from Vung Tau and we was very happy that the hotel sent us a minibus for a free pick-up at the port (for free). Same when we goes back to the boat two days later. The distance from port to hotel is long, it was for sure a 20 minute drive. The hotel is on a good place for go everywhere. We had a nice bungalow with two separated room. Everything was clean and working. Right in front was a nice swimming pool - really great for cooling down after coming back to the hotel. The receptionist girl was very helpful for everything and her english was very well. Breakfast buffet was good and enough. I can recommand this hotel and I will also go back there next time.

I had to rate food to submit review but no hotel restaurant but there is one next door so don't worry! This hotel is basic so if you accept this and don't expect too much you will be very happy! We had sea view room which was basic but large, clean and equipped for a basic stay. The reception staff on all shifts are excellent, very welcoming, helpfully and always smiling! I would suggest this is the best value hotel on the island closest to the beach! Staff help you to hire motorbikes. Next to scuba centre and airline office.

I have stayed at Con Son Island Hotel for 3 days and I am happy with the friendly environment, service here. The hotel located at a very convenience location. It only takes a few steps to get to the beach and a few steps to the seafood avenue of Con Son Island. They sell boat ticket returning to the mainland VN and the owner lady can buy the air ticket for you at lower price than online. She know her island really well. She help me to book for my electric car ride to the airport, she can arrange motorbike rental and so on. The room price is very friendly. It is highly recommended this hotel to low budget travelers.
