Brussels hotels & places to stay

My wife and I traveled to Brussels for the weekend and booked this hotel several weeks in advance. At the last minute we had to reschedule due to some work issues and the hotel allowed us to do so with no penalty even though it was outside of the rebooking window. This was the first bit of great service. The breakfast was spectacular, the location was great, and overall the experience was one of our best in Europe.

Husband and I , along with another couple came to Brussels to meet up with my sister / family to celebrate graduation at the University of Leuven before heading to Amsterdam and other cities along the Rhine. The NH Brussels EU Berlaymont was the perfect gathering place. So near the airport and the metro and the EUC. The metro station was so very convenient to get to with luggage. Excellent ambience, centrally located, There is even an aviary (bee hive) on premise for environmental and ecological enhancement. the staff was wonderful - especially the hotel manager. The mini-refrigerator offered complementary bottled water. Facilities would have been excellent except that the air-conditioner was not working properly, but was reported.

Everything about this place was great. Perfect location - I was able to walk everywhere from the hotel within 10 minutes, including Central Station. The staff was fantastic. I arrived earlier than the standard 3p check-in so I wasn't surprised when the front desk told me that the room wasn't ready. I took about 20 minutes to change in the lobby bathroom before heading out to start the day and when I came out, they told me that they found a room available for me (which was a bit of an upgrade from what I originally booked) and I was able to access it immediately. They even had a charcuterie plate waiting in the room when I got there. I will absolutely stay here again when I come back to Brussels.

Easy to locate - long Avenue Fonsny, barely 5 min walk away from the Bruxelles-Midi station. It is also only one station away the Grand Place. Trains to other cities/towns (Ghent, Brugges) easily available at Bruxelles-Midi. Also easy to obtain a SIM card for your phone there. Hotel is clean, modern, with a great view - if you like seeing trains trundle by, which I do. Internet is very reliable. It also has lockers to store your luggage if you arrive early. Hotel cafe is modest at best though, so I would recommend eating out. There is a supermarket on the way to the hotel. It also has a post office there, so you can send your postcards if you want. Great for business or younger travellers. The area or the hotel itself does not have many child-friendly activities so it is less suitable for young parents with young children. For Muslim travellers, the hotel is right next to a cafe run by Muslim migrants. Food is homefare but very affordable. From the map, the hotel is also very near the Islamic Centre for Brussels, but we did not go there. Hotel staff also very efficient and friendly. Would go back again if I were ever to be in Brussels again.

If one is going to the bustling metropolis that is Brussels then look no further than booking a stay at the stylishly modern NH City hotel. An oasis of calm in the hurly burly of the political scene and heart of the Belgium capital, the hotel offers good accomodation at reputable rates and courteous service often found at more luxurious hotel chains. It is a fabulous place to stay for the discerning female traveller especially if on business with a range of special deals to meet your requirements. As for your meet and greet I would definitely book the bar and restaurant for your party for your upscale event. It is definitely worth a second trip.

The room is spacious and nice. The big problem for me was at the check in. I made the booking with Agoda and I made sure booking is confirmed. I even do the reconfirmed for my booking. The booking was confirmed from Agoda side but at the hotel it appears as the booking is cancelled. It took me like 2 hours to get the room at check in due to this problem. Actually it was their internal case of who cancelled the booking but I was the one who had to wait for more than 2 hrs to get a room. I was very upset with this otherwise the hotel and the location is good for my stay of 6 nights in Brussels.

I was a bit worried before i go bcos even thou it s 4 star hotel the price was kind of cheap and the rate was not high enough. But everything was perfect. The room i stayed was very spacious and clean. Staffs were kind and helpful. And what i liked the most about this hotel was the location. 5-10mins walking distance from Brussell Midi train station and close to the centre. If i have got another opportunity to go to Brussell again i would definately stay at this hotel.

Stayed 1 night at Novotel Brussels City Center. Overall, everything is great and staff are friendly. It is in close proximity to the Grand Place, cathedrals and other main attractions, so we only had to walk around for sightseeing. However, driving to the hotel ( and in Brussels city) could be a nightmare. Room is a decent size, not cramped but not only spacious either. Toilet is separated from shower and washing basin, which is seen in Novotel only (so far), but isn't an issue for us. Room amenities are adequate and there isn't anything to complain about. There is no view from our room (overlooking the wall of the building), and that's about the only cons of the room. Staff are helpful with information and friendly. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and food was great. I had the duck breast with fettuccine and loved it very much. Service is excellent too. It has been a wonderful stay.

We just wanted a relaxing week end in Brussels and we found the hotel perfect for that. The room was big and comfortable and the breakfast was decent. As the hotel is quite centrally located it allowed us to go to our favorite eateries in Brussels. All in all if you are looking for a good hotel in the center of Brussels and near public transportation then pick this one.

We stopped over in Brussels for the night and booked this hotel. It was lovely throughout and not to far away from Brussels Midi station. All the staff were very helpful and the price was great given the standard of the hotel. My only complaint would be the quality of the breakfast which was rather average. However, this would stop me from visiting this hotel again when I am next in Brussels.

we were advised to go to brussels on the weekend when many of business hotels drop their rates significantly. on checking, we found this to be the case at the new hotel charlemagne. there was a substantial discount compared to their rack rates. for a couple of euros extra go for the business room. the hotel is located close to the metro station 'schuman' on lines 1 and 5. we were assigned a room on the 7th floor and it had all the amenities provided in a business hotel. wifi was available in the room at no charge. newspapers are provided in the lobby and the bar has a happy hour from 5-6pm and again from 10-11 pm when drinks are available at half price. brussels has a great metro/bus/ tram system so it is easy to get around. staff at the hotel were very professional. the lobby needs a serious renovation because it leaves a poor first impression, but our business room was lovely with a view of the garden behind the hotel. we recommend staying at this hotel on weekends.

i stayed here for two nights during a short break to brussels. the hotel has been furnished to a high standard, with the reception, bar and lounge very welcoming. my room was equally well presented with a good sized bathroom and fantastic shower! the bar offered a good range of drinks and light meals, and breakfast in the restaurant was a good buffet with plenty of variety. during my stay i made full use of the leisure facilities – pool and gym - which were clean and quiet. i specifically wanted to stay at a hotel with a good pool and wasn't disappointed. the location was ideal: 2mins from the european parliament, 5mins from the nearest metro (trone, lines 2&6 if you arrive at midi on eurostar) and 15/20mins to the centre via the royal palace. other museums at the parc du cinquantenaire are within a short walk too. if you want to eat/drink locally there are plenty of bars and restaurants around luxembourg place. the reception staff were very helpful. i would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others.

We spent the last day of a Netherlands / Belgium tour in Brussels, and chose the Gresham Belson Hotel because it was located close to the Brussels Airport. On registering, it seems that Ludo sized my wife and I up as not belonging to the upper class, as we were assigned to room 131, back to back to the elevator noise, as well as the closest to the street noise. The room itself was otherwise clean and comfortable, and was adequate for our one night before flying home. I guess we could have made the effort to request a room change, but we were too exhausted to deal with any additional hassle after a two-week trip.

Only few minutes walking from Brussels Central train station and just a breath away from the famous Grand Palace square. Super convenient and fairly priced for those who don’t need a personal reception. It is a bit of a hustle when you want to leave your luggage for a while after check out but with special luggage rooms in the car park basement, this is also possible without seeing any real life. This kind of hotels are waiting for the AI revolution where robots will take over more personal human tasks. The only down-turn are the windows facing a dark closed off court yard. We thought it would be dark weather outside while on the contrary it was a beautiful sunny day. So, don’t use this when you decide to stay indoor during the day.

I have stayed in many hotels in brussels as I travel there for work on weekends. I looked forward to stay at the Crowne Brussels in the city after staying at the one at the airport and I was not disappointed. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. The location of the hotel is perfect, minutes walk from Rogier station and about 10-15 minutes walk to major city centre places. The double room was perfect size for one and the hotel just had a nice feel about it not forgetting the lovely flowery smell in the corridors. Its next door to the Hilton Brussels city which is also a lovely hotel which now makes it hard choice between the two. The hotel thing is that I didn’t have the breakfast. I will definitely book again.

Dominican hotel is a very nice hotel in the center of Brussels. Very stylish, quiet, nice rooms, very comfortable. Really a nice hotel for who wants to spend a week end in Brussels and/or for a stylish seminar. The only thing is what I mentioned earlier, I find it such a shame that noone comes to the room to tidy up and close the curtains when guests are having dinner. I think it must be an Asian thing. Almost perfect, then

We had 3 day's business meeting in this hotel. The rooms we had were by far one of the biggest and most comfortable I have experienced in Europe for a business hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the location the hotel is at is just a stone's throw away from center Brussels and the subway station. The fact that this hotel was converted from what was once the biggest cinema in Europe adds to its allure. I am already to return to the hotel early next year for my business meeting.
