Very clean, staff SO attentive and friendly. Room quality was 4 stars and in like new condition. Very modern. Breakfast place and 7-11 just across the street. Restaurant also inside. Great, uncrowded location in Beitun District. From HSR, can take Bus 82 or 101 to Dingchenping stop. Or local train to Taichung Main station and then bus from there (?1hr). Or 12 min car ride from HSR station.

Beautiful, scrupulously clean, elegant & modern, staff exceptional”
Great stay - perfect price and good location in suburbs of Beitun. Very clean, nice, and modern. Staff were exceedingly helpful on the apot, without even having to ask, or lift a finger! They spoke English very well, also. 7-11 just across the street for any quick snack runs. Definitely will stay here from now on!

Posh-looking hotel for a great price”
Decent hotel standing on its own with posh-looking decor. Clean and neat rooms with great view. Comfy and safe. Very friendly service. Cons: a little out of the way, far from attractions in taichung/train station. nothing much to see nearby. weak wifi in rooms.

Outstanding service and a fantastic hotel”
one of the best hotels i've had the pleasure of staying at. we were greeted by employees of the hotel as our taxi pulled up. they opened the doors, and helped us with our bags. not the kind of thing you see very often. upon check in, we were told that we would be upgraded to the vip floor and a penthouse. the penthouse was lovely and featured a wall of 20 feet (6 meter) windows with views of the city. it also featured two master baths with jacuzzis. the fitness center was nice and the staff couldn't be more helpful.

Excellent Stay ”
Stayed one night in this hotel with my family. The hotel looks new and thus explains why everything in the room are in good condition. Service staffs were helpful and smiley. One thing to highlight would be its location as it is not near any malls / night market (there is a 7-11 beside the hotel though). Not an issue to us as we chartered a driver who pick us from the hotel lobby to places we want to visit. However, it may be a problem to guests who did not have such arrangement. Hotel breakfast were decent. Overall very happy with my stay.

It's a little bit far away from the city centre and main activities. However, the hotel is thoughtful enough to provide transport to and from the Fengjia night market for its guests.

Nice Hotel Not Convenient”
I found the City Resort to be a nice hotel, with huge beds and a spacious floor plan, but it just wasn't that convenient to the places I needed to go. But I highly recommend it for value for the money, and I'm sure it's located in a great place for some, just wasn't that great of a location for me. That being said, the staff are super helpful and super friendly.

Ok hotel but not 4 star ”
My room was big enough, bathroom was good too, clean room , some mold in bathroom ... What I wasn't happy with was that the hotel controls the air conditioner's temperature and is always at 25c.... For me it felt warm, day and night ....there is a control panel on the wall and you can "set " the a/c temperature but nothing will happen!!!...the control is there for nothing!!!....I like to have a room temperature of at least of 23c and at night 22c....spending afternoon and night at 25-26c was not pleasant.the hotel is good for Taiwanese people because for them 25 Celsius is ok!!... If I am not able to control the temperature in my hotel room so i can be comfortable then I CAN'T consider this hotel a 4 STAR. hotel!!!!!

Clean rooms, friendly staff”
The rooms were all right - clean, spacious, modern, comfortable. I picked this hotel because of its reasonable price and somewhat close proximity to the Fengjia Night Market. The hotel did not have a shuttle service to the night market which was a disappointment. Otherwise, their staff was attentive and friendly with good customer service.

Big rooms and great service”
The two of us ended up getting a room with 2 king beds which was great. The pressure of the shower could use a boost. Getting wifi in-room would also be a great addition. Service was fantastic, as the staff (Dolly in particular) were most helpful in all ways. Hotel isn't located that close to the citycentre but the buses are very convenient. Plus, you can get everything you need near the hotel.

Decent hotel if need to be in this area. ”
The hotel was a four star amongst medium ranged hotels. Definitely not a luxury hotel but great value if need to be in this area (def not a tourist attraction). Convenient location for shops but not restaurants. Ten minute taxi to any place to eat.

Cons:Need to take a taxi to restaurants or street market or railway station. Pros: quite location and park opposite. Self service laundry on road opposite as well as 7-11 right next door. Overall good value for money IF rate is discounted as normal rate is too expensive for this standard of hotel.
