Best hotels & accommodations in Changping District

If you stay in Changping as we did, you will learn there are not many restaurants or attractions outside the great wall to see but for us it didn't matter. Changping hotel is a gorgeous all inclusive hotel with a billiard room, bowling which we took advantage of, and 4 pretty good restaurants particularly the sushi (excellent quality fish)and a new head chef who comes...

I stayed at the Ramada Beijing North Hotel over the Chinese New Year as I was visiting friends who live only a short distance from the hotel. I read many other reviews that while liking the hotel marked it down for its distance to the principal tourist attractions of Beijing. I suspect that many tour groups book the hotel - based on the number of people at the mornin...

This hotel is about an hour by car out of Beijing city. It is a lovely hotel we stated here for about US $60 a night - super cheap. Be aware that you will need someone who speaks Chinese with you or do as we did and use iTranslate on your iPhone. The chinese food in the restaurant is top quality and service is very good. If you are wanting to go the the Great Wall, Min...

the staff was very friendly. but none of them speak English. I had very difficult to make them understand the room rent was paid online as they kept asking me to pay the room rent. and was not willing to give me my deposit money back. i had to get a translator from the street to make them understand.
