I was really disappointed when I arrived at Boonya Resort as it did not live up to my expectations. The room was tired and neglected looking and there was a musty/mothball smell on entering it. The curtains has some black staining/marks which it looked like damp/mould and there was a cobweb on the ceiling. The bed was chipped (big gouge out the headboard) and the mattress was quite hard. Although clean the bedding didn't feel fresh and the mattress cover/sheet was a weird silky almost plasticy fabric that was a bit sweaty to lie on. There was a fridge in the room with beer and soft drinks etc, however the solitary packet of crisps and the rusty bottle opener just seemed a bit sad and dated. The pool was nice and really clean however the surrounding decking has seen better days. There is a bit of a hippy vibe to Boonya Resort and Bob Marley seemed to get played quite a lot. There were signs saying that the hotel was under new management however, it seems clear that the new management hasn't made any effort to maintain or upgrade the property as it looks like it was last decorated in the early 90s. On a positive note, the staff and owners were really friendly friendly and helpful. Overall I felt really frustrated and disappointed in Boonya Resort, it has the potential to be a really nice place if only the owners would wash the curtains and give it a lick of paint.

Excellent stay in Klong Prao”

This hotel was very satisfactory for us. The room (stayed in the main building - not the bungalow) was perfect, the bed was just right (also the pillows which is an exception in Thailand :) ), the pool was excellent and the owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed them. Would definitely and probably will - recommend!!

We have travelled to many places and are picky, but this place was great! It is a three star hotel, and the management team is extremely friendly and nice! I'd definitely go back again!

Only thing I would comment as a disadvantage is the hard beds! That problems goes for many of the hotels we have stayed in!

Thai staff were brilliant and very helpful, especially at organising a private boat tour for us! The European staff not so much, found them to be quite rude and unfriendly. Found the pictures online to be misleading (swimming pool is much smaller than it appears in the image). Cleanliness was good however half the time they did not provide us with toilet paper . In a good location (within 5 minutes of Kai bae) however there are only a few places to eat in the immediate vicinity.

arrived at 21.00 hours after a long day traveling from cambodia only to be told the deluxe bungalow I had booked 21 days prior was overbooked, and was allocated a room in the hotel next door which certainly was not a deluxe anything, I felt I had been scammed she blamed Agoda but we have never ever had a problem with any of our many Agoda bookings. My advice do not book this hotel.

In general, it’s worthy for the money that you spend comparing to the average price around. However, it gives me the feeling of unsafe for you stuff because the door is not secure and they dont take responsibility if you lost valuable items.

Séjour à Boonya resort hôtel Koh Chang”

C'est très agréable de séjourner à Boonya resort dans son bungalow confortable gérer par un couple hongrois bien gentil et accueillant. Rapport qualité/prix raisonnable. Mais le lieu manque de plage. Il faut aller loin pour avoir la plage. Nous avons loué de moto pour 200baths la journée de 24heures.

Sehr saubere Zimmer, freundliches Personal. Kein Internet in den hinteren Bungalow. Vor meiner Terrasse ein großer Laubhaufen ( scheinbar hat niemand Zeit zum Aufräumen). Der TV eine Zumutung. Die Aircon rattert und macht Krach, wahrscheinlich Billigvariante und über 12 Jahre alt ( wird jedoch extra täglich mit 200 Baht berechnet, soviel Strom kann für das alte Gelumpe niemand täglich verbrauchen. Der Weg zum Strand einfach nur besch.......Beim Essen will ich die aufgelesenen Straßenköder der Besitzerin nicht um den Tisch haben, Sie kann Sie ja gerne von mir aus mit ins Bett nehmen. Zwischenzeitlich war ich nochmal in Koh Chang, jedoch abseits dieser Unterkunft, Richtung White Sand Beach, um einiges besser zum gleichen Preis

Super Resort sehr gerne wieder”

Unser Aufenthalt über 5Tage war sehr schön wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Wir hatten zwei Bungalows die sauber und ordentlich waren. Die Besitzer stehen einem bei allen Fragen zur Verfügung (wenn sie da sind) ansonsten gibt es eine Rezeption die auch alles Beantworten kann. Zum Strand ist man in 10-15 min gelaufen. In unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es gute Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die vor Ort angebotene Dschungel Tour und den Verleih von Rollern können wir nur empfehlen es hat rundum alles gestimmt.

Sauberkeit”

Ich war jetzt das 4 mal hier. Das Zimmer war immer sauber und gut! Nach 2 mal reklamieren wurde doch auch noch die Dusche und Wc gereinigt....aber erst die drei letzten Tage . Unsere Nachbarn hatten auch reklamiert es sei nicht sauber in der Dusche und habe sefenreste am Boden. Und mehrmals kam es vor dass das Wasser braun kam in der Dusche und wir nicht duschen konnten. Auch meine Thai Freundinwar nicht begeistert von dem Service. Schade
