Awesome place to chill”
Cute little resort right in the bay. Room was spacious with an awesome patio (or balcony if upstairs) tk relax on. The resort has a coffee shop and motor bike and snorkel mask for rent also. They can arrange tours and taxis but taxis are expensive in Ko Tao so best to rent a bike. I can highly recommend and will be back.

Direct access to the beach and nice chill area. And a few meter down the road is a super nice cafe with a pool to use, since the hotel doesnt have (or need) one. Wouldn't rent snorkels from the hotel as they were pretty bad

Great place to stay in the beautiful south of Koh Tao. Comfy clean huts with good aircon in a nice setting right at the beach. Lovely staff, beautiful relaxed restaurant with great view and the best ice coffee! We absolutely enjoyed staying here!

Perfect location - basic accommodation ”
Perfect location right on the beach at Chalok. The resort has only recently reopened. The bungalows are adequate but basic, sparsely furnished and tired. Room was clean, bathroom poor, bed very hard. We had a fridge, fan, tv and a/c. Had to ask for a kettle which they provided. Lovely terrace with furniture and sea view. The beach is steps away from your room. The place could be so much better with attention to detail. There is no room service, you have to ask at reception if you want the room cleaned and bedding/towels changed. Every day you need to take a trip to reception for your bottles of water and toilet paper - otherwise you will not get them. We had breakfast once in the restaurant (100 bht pp) and once was enough. Very poor food and lack of choices. The sun loungers and garden furniture was not maintained and some broken. No mattresses on the loungers. The ‘resort’ is at the end of the village and in a very quiet setting. A short walk into the village you will find enough eateries to keep you going and a couple of shops. Many places seem to have closed due to the pandemic. Big Fish could be an absolute gold mine if the owners managed it diligently. It certainly benefits from it’s idyllic setting slap bang in the middle of the bay and directly on the beach. Our stay was adequate for what we needed for the time we were there.

Double check room amenities ”
Booking indicated A/C but was told by staff it was only a fan room. Very limited outlets to charge electronics (only had 1 plug, not counting the TV plug on ceiling). Room didn't have refrigerator. Breakfast was good, have a set menu of about 15 different items you can choose, along with instant coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Need to specifically request room cleaning, otherwise you won't get water or extra TP.

Can get other rooms nearby with ac for a similar price however it has a beautiful view of the ocean and a nice little private beach that is cared for nicely.

The room was very simple with a bad smell, the bed was not comfortable, we couldn't sleep well. We had to ask for a clean service daily ,so at the first day the room wasnt clean . The receptionist was impatient and not kind.

We should listen to the reviews because the staff is not friendly at all. The resort is on the beach, few steps away to Freedom Beach, Shark Bay (good place for snorkeling) and John Suwan Viewpoint. In the morning can walk to have a chicken sandwich from “Lady Sandwich” shop. It’s a big and very tasty sandwich for 60-80 baht. For the hotel if you pay more than 600 THB a night, please go to stay somewhere else because… 1. The staff is not nice. The manager lost our driving license card that we gave her for the deposit but she said that we didn’t give it to her and tried to find another excuse that it was not her fault . She even tried to call the motorbike shop where I rent the bike from to check that my driving license was there or not but she forgot that I rent the bike before coming to the hotel and she copied my driving license on the check in day and never gave me back the original one. 2. Need to bring your own toiletries. 3. Wifi is not good. Need to keep login every 5-10 mins. 4. TV has no English channels and Thai Channels had poor reception. If you have limited budget, you can stay in a fan room but try not to have any issues with the staff and have all the record what you give to them otherwise you might not have a good holiday in Koh Tao.

No pick up from pire what many hotels offer free pick up here.everything looks old. room smells like moldy. toilet is small，dirty and smelly. the bed is as hard as floor，there is only one sheet as a quilt, feel cold at night! and the room is full of sand. Receptionist is off on 6 pm. Staffs are unhelpful and cold! Only thing they care about is if you book more days. Your room will be bright at night because there are lights outside of your room. and lights on all night. curtain cannot make your room dark! if you ask staffs to turn off the lights at night after 1am. Because diffcult to sleep with a strong lights!but staff will tell you I can not help and I don’t know. All the bad reference are true. Read carefully then decide. Only good thing about here is the beach. Beautiful sunset. But there are few hotels on the beach. Better price ,facility and more helpful stuffs than here.
